I had a frustrating experience at this McDonald's. I placed my order expecting it to be quick, especially because there was no real line at the time. Unfortunately, there did not seem to be enough staff working, and nobody was really putting the orders together. I ended up waiting around 25 to 30 minutes for a simple order, even though it looked like it should have been much faster. After 10 or 15 minutes, it felt like nothing was happening at all. This was a decent McDonald's stop. After seeing the ratings, I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but things went pretty smoothly overall. The bathrooms were clean, which is always appreciated when you're traveling. My McChicken came out without anything on it, but honestly sometimes I feel like that's divine intervention reminding me I probably didn't need it anyway. There are three McDonald's in Watsonville. This is the best one (190 Main Street). The staff at this McDonald's are nice, respectful and helpful compared to the McDonald's by Target (1459 Main Street). They are pure evil at the McDonald's by Target (1459 Main Street). If you're craving McDonald's this location is the one to go to, even if the others are closer, this one is worth the drive. The food taste like decent McDonald's food. Nothing special to expect about the food. Just make sure to check your bag for sauces and your correct order before leaving (like you should at any fast food location). The only negative comment I have about this location is the amount of homeless people that constantly hang out inside the building; charging their phones, making phone calls or going through their bags, and outside the building; standing by the door begging for food, money or cigarettes. I get it though, the Shelter is just a few buildings down the street. However, it is getting better than it was. So, at least they are trying. read more

I used the mobile app to order food my kid wanted. Pulled up and parked at the designated spot and the transaction was confirmed. 30mins later no food. I went in and some lady named Julia was not only incompetent, but rude. She told me I was at the wrong store at first, after she was proven wrong she blamed the system. Then she got my order down then still got it wrong. She tried to tell me what I was supposed to get was not what I ordered. Again she was proven wrong. Date of visit: 01/04/2018 I'm glad that old building was torn down but another McDonald's in its place?? Not sure about this but it is a pretty nice one. It's much more aesthetically pleasing versus the one on Freedom Blvd. If management would keep the old timers from asking people for food or money inside the dining area, it'd be perfect. My friend and I were approached 4 times by the same 3 guys. I made a couple of comments to the manager, asking if she could please let them know this is not acceptable. Nothing was done. So I took matters into my own hands and told these guys to stop asking. They finally did but my friend felt bad for them. So she bought them some cookies. Mind you, this was at 6:45AM. If this behavior's tolerated that early in the AM, I'm sure it's crazier at 10:00PM. I don't think I want to be here at that time. We came in the morning for breakfast very hungry and thee was no one in line we ordered and thought it would be fast. We waited so long for a very simple order a breakfast sandwich and coffee. The fries are always cold and not well cooked, they always get my order wrong, honestly I'm surprised whenever they do. The ice cream machine is always "broken", my friend used to work there and admitted that the ice cream machine is never broken, it just grows mold overtime and the staff is too lazy to clean it.
