Went for the first time in many years for the new Big Arch. Friday night around 5:30 and it was packed. Drive thru went quick and efficient. Order was correct and both employees I dealt with were very pleasant and polite. Burger was actually pretty good but fries weren't the hottest. Won't make it a habit but will return. read more

I ordered through the app took me 15 minutes from my home to drive to the location got here waited another 25 minutes for them to prepare the food, it's a Saturday night and they've got four people working the drive-thru line was wrapped around the building . Go inside to pick up my food 25 minute wait and I couldn't cancel the damn order or I would have. People were coming in after me and getting their food before me they've screwed up so many orders tonight it's not even funny they either need to hire more people or they need to get their s*** together. I would definitely recommend this McDonald's. Unless you like waiting a half an hour or more for your food. read more

Communication is key when taking orders. If the person taking the orders can't understand what is being said, then maybe they shouldn't be working the intercom. Just a thought.... In addition the drive-through sucks. Perhaps taking the time to get someone to stand outside and direct traffic until the people who cut in line realize how the system works. This will also stop the idiots that like to bypass the line only to block the only exit of people leaving the parking lot. Not McDonalds fought but it is their fought that they have let it continue for so long. Orders are often wrong. But that could also be the communication issue (see above). Although double checking the orders on the screen doesn't seem to guarantee that is what you order is what you get in your bag. Positively pathetic! read more

This is the worst Mcdonalds I have ever been in. About 1 in 5 meals are not done right. There is a constant stream of angry customers coming in to get things fixed. People wait sometimes 10 minutes at the drive thru window to get their meal and then they may be wrong. They hire hispanics who speak no or very little English. Some hispanics there hate americans and openly show contempt. Management has systematically rid themselves of most of the white employees. They did it on purpose. Most of the hard working white employes got harassed until they went to Random house. Most managers are hispanic now except for one I know. The place is dirty. I see few families any more. About 1 in 50 customers is hispanic but they play hispanic music on the intercom. The place is dirty, service poor, waits long, and food often wrong. employees are on cell phones and talking when they should be working. Managers too. In my opinion - A trip to this McDonald's will ruin your going to McDonald's for life. They've remodeled the store, but it's a nightmare EVERY visit (not just an occasional bad visit) - it's every time. The parking lot is cramped and crowded, the drive-thru lanes don't route traffic effectively - so what you get quite often is a long drive-thru line and then some rogue person driving through the parking lot who whips into the drive-thru not taking into account (or maybe/probably they are just jerks) the long line of cars waiting. Many visits there will be a traffic jam in the parking lot (people can't exit the drive-thru due to cars trying to maneuver the parking lot - so, the drive-thru lanes never move.) The inside of the store is nice enough, but on a recent visit (a Saturday no less) there was a hand written note on the door that the lobby was closed due to staffing issues. What?? (see paragraph above - needless to say the drive-thru had already created parking/traffic issues in the lot) The food quality is McDonald's. It's pretty standard store to store, but sometimes they're a bit sloppy at this store. However, my bad review is not based on the quality of food. Based on being a visitor - this store clearly has some problems going on right now (and for some time). Personally, I think this store does a dis-service to the McDonald's corporation. Also, the corporation should know that this areas population is too great to only have the 1 store. The local store must have a protected territory (assuming), because many of the problems could be alleviated if there was another store. read more

placed a delivery order for double quarter with cheese, mc double, 5 ketchup and 2 bbq sauce. i got the dbl quarter with cheese meal and that was it. but hey i got napkins. great job for one part of the experience. Seriously can no one read a ticket at fast food establishments? I order and pay for an experience i expect that experience in return, i have worked fast food, casual dinning, and anything from remodeling to sales to IT. I loved the working in the food industry it was fast, consistently changing and challenging I made mistakes but damn everytime i go to Mcdonalds something is wrong, no napkins, straw, missing items, under cooked meals, arguing with staff because they cant be wrong when you tell them what you want o no not their faults. Reach out to them just so they dont make the same mistake with others and o no its my fault. I have cut out numerous places and this location is now one, and if you think that doesnt mean anything look at the Red Robin in Lakeforest mall in Gaithersburg, why did they close down? sales dropped and myself and everyone i could tell and think of stopped going there they closed years before the mall did. Staff is rude and there is a major language barrier issue. I ordered in the drive thru, paid at the first window. Just to have them give me the wrong order and tell me that what I wanted was no longer available. They asked me if I wanted something else. I asked if they were going to refund me the difference and what does she say while walking away? "Take it easy". When she came back I said "I was asking you a question, you didnt answer me and told me to take it easy?" She says "I know, its fine" NO ITS NOT FINE?!! Wtf is going on with these people? I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the overall location. Service was good and the wait time in the drive thru was very short may be 5 minutes on a Saturday morning was exceptional. The breakfast sandwiches Egg McMuffin and Sausage Biscuit was the freshest and best tasting I have ever had from an McDonalds. read more

Fast food joints are usually low on my expectations list, but this McDonald's is slipping lately and management should take note. 4th time in 4 drive-thru visits over last 5 months with a screwed-up order and/or a vehicle butting into the front of the line. They have tried to organize the drive-through at least with one solid yellow line that leads to the fork/2 lanes in the back, but people still disregard the markings on the pavement. And maybe if I ask for the Sriracha signature burger next time, I'll get the grilled pico de gallo chix sandwich I actually want. But I digress. Since I work on the hill behind this McD's and only have 25 minutes to inhale lunch on any day, I make do with whatever's in the bag once I open it (mostly I BYOL or skip lunch altogether). And both times the ladies working the windows are speaking in such a way as to indicate... well, please just learn sufficient communication skills so the correct orders are placed and distributed. Also the 2 of 4 times waiting *patiently* in the initial single drive thru lane and some winner zips around the rest of us and squeezes into the 2nd lane after entering from 140 are notable. FIVE solid minutes of wait time on Friday, 3/9/18, just past noon, and STILL 2 cars from front of que, when a mom-ish woman and her mini-van with Shiloh-MS-honor-student magnets cuts the line. So I'm thinking (among other things)... if your kid is smart enough to be on honor roll, you should be smart enough to conscientiously navigate the drive-thru. Management needs to do something about this, like at the nearby Chick-Fil-A, to keep inconsiderate drivers from butting in line. Not cool. So if you are behind me the next time I'm so hangry and desperate that I've defaulted to this McD's again, I apologize in advance for the 15-second delay while I open every item in my order to verify accuracy. Absolutely the worst McDonalds ever. Third time I've been here since they renovated. Everything was cold and unpleasant including the employees. The whole drive thru experience took about 15 minutes. I ordered something plain. It wasn't. It also wasn't hot. The guy taking my money never made a sound. Just held out his hand. Then shut the window. Then the next one flung a bag at me. I finally got ahold of it. And i managed to block the soda that came at me after. Never, ever, ever going here again. What a waste of time and money. Before the renovation it was nice. Good people make all the difference. Hope the money the saved by ditching the old employees was worth it to someone. read more

McDonald's is McDonald's.The food is the same, which is likely the main selling point. But this particular McDonald's has a drive-thru problem. Repeatedly, drive-thru diners cut in line. Mixed feelings. Normally the food is hot and good here. But it's slipping downhill of late. Staff is hard to understand,and twice I've gotten cold and soggy food. They're only half filling the box with fries, some times less than that. I wanted to get a Shamrock Shake here but every time I was told the machine was broke or they didn't have them. I REALLY hate that they screwed with the milkshakes. They used to be good. Now they are 1/4 the size at twice the price!!! But I think that might be all McDonald's now. This thing I hate most about this location now is that they got rid of the kids play area. The kids literally cried over it. There's not many parks nearby and the fenced in play area was great. I could sit at a table and eat and watch them burn off their meal. They don't want to go here any more now because it's gone.
