Easy stop off of 52 North at exit #116. This McDonalds has double drive through lanes and designated numbered parking spots for staging drive thru customers still waiting. Inside is an updated clean looking McDonalds Cafe with kiosk for placing your order, ability to use the app and order ahead, or the old school method of talking to a bilingual employee at the register. I chose the friendly real person. Our order of breakfast sandwiches, meals include hash browns and a drink, were quickly ready, packaged to go. Cold soft drinks and iced tea are self service. The area was well stocked and clean. Our order was correct, food was hot and consistent in quality to every other McDonalds I've been to. I'd return to this McDonalds, for $15 I fed 3 adults a hot breakfast in a few minutes and we were back on the road quickly.

Employees do not wear face masks properly. Even the manager who was handling the food did not have the face mask over her mouth.

New York Cheesecake Doughnut: Krispy Kreme (KK) has a fantastic origin story. Allegedly, founder…read moreVernon Rudolph bought the recipe for his original doughnuts from a New Orleans barge chef. I just think it's neat that the KK doughnut recipe might have some ties to beignets or other French cuisine. Wherever the recipe came from, there's truly something special about their original glazed doughnuts that transcends the genre. In November of 2025 KK revamped its menu to include different "permanent" flavors. This was a blessing and a curse as it allowed me to finally try the New York Cheesecake Doughnut (which has not been available at my location before), but also saw the departure of my personal favorite, cake batter. The New York Cheesecake Filled Doughnut is an unglazed doughnut dipped in smooth white icing, topped with golden graham-flavored crunch, and filled with rich cheesecake Kreme. KK says the doughnut is inspired by the Big Apple's iconic cheesecake and I think this one hits its mark. Its surface is teeming with the graham flavored crunch, and the icing is sufficiently sweet. There's nothing wrong with the flavor of the graham, but its primary contribution is the crunchy texture as its flavor is eclipsed by the rich cheesecake Kreme (which my doughnut had plenty of). The Kreme is tangy like cheesecake, so if that's not your thing, then you might not like this one. For me, it was tangy enough to evoke cheesecake, but it didn't cross the line into disgustingly tangy like some other cheesecake doughnuts I've had (Grebe's here in MKE). Cheesecake is one of my favorite desserts and now this cheesecake doughnut is too, Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews My KK favorites: 1. Hypno-Henry, The Cake Batter Monster 2. Oreo Cookies & Kreme 3.Peanut Butter Kreme Filled Doughnut Topped With M&M's 4. Mississippi Mud Pie 5. Banana Pudding

Every corner is beautifully decorated, and the whole place smells absolutely heavenly. I enjoyed the Blood Orange Bliss, which was delicious--but honestly, I don't think you could order a bad drink here! Today, I went to Oasis at the Mill for a delicious Velvet Fog chaga- & kava-infused drink. I also booked a Vibro-Acoustic Therapy session for the first time! I was asked what I was feeling to experience energetically out of the various programs available and I chose "Release". I didn't know what to expect and it turned out to be quite profound and healing on many levels so I want to share my experience. I was taken to a beautiful dark teal room with Tibetan prayer flags overhead...tranquil and inviting. I put on some padded headphones while the program was being initiated, and made myself comfortable on my back on an ergonomically sculpted bed. Resonant music came through the headphones as the bed began to vibrate and undulate, my back and legs receiving a massage-like experience as my entire body felt the resonance of sound healing. My first impression was feeling I was a garden being tilled...old stagnant energy was being lifted and shaken and I felt a renewed energy pouring through me. In time, I connected my experience with the elements, grounding energy of Earth, sinking and flowing as Water, lifting and moving in spirals as Air, and the warmth and blaze of Fire...as these blended into Spirit I began to journey and fell into what felt like a sleep state. I came out of the sleep state as the resonance shifted, and it gently brought me to stillness over several minutes, softening and slowing until the program ended. I felt refreshed and renewed and was already deciding that "Oh, I have to do this on a regular basis!" And, the fact that there are programs to access many energetic states is so exciting! I can say from the bottom of my freshly renewed heart, DO try this new healing opportunity at Oasis at the Mill! It is truly extraordinary!

Starbucks and Dunkin we had a good run, but it's over The Caramel Macchiato is absolutely dangerous. It's hands down the best I've ever had. Sweet, smooth, and somehow perfect every single time. But let me issue a public service announcement: do not underestimate the espresso. That drink doesn't wake you up... it launches you into another dimension. You'll leave thinking you can reorganize your garage, wash your car, start a business, and solve world peace before lunch. The staff is always friendly, the drinks are consistently amazing, and you can tell they actually care about what they're serving. If you've been struggling to find a great coffee shop, congratulations you've reached your final stop. The Struggle Bus is worth every penny. It's an experience worth getting out of bed for. I stumbled across The Struggle Bus while visiting North Carolina for the very first time, scoping out properties and trying to get a feel for the area. And honestly? This was the kind of unexpected gem that makes you seriously consider relocating. First off, the energy is unmatched. The owner Zac is responsive, friendly, and inviting. J-Michael is the kind of team member who makes you feel like a regular within 30 seconds. He's warm, genuine, welcoming, and just the right amount of hype to kickstart your day. Now let's talk drinks, because they are NOT playing around!!! I had The black sugar shaken espresso ( Smooth, bold, and perfectly balanced with that deep caramelized sweetness.) I also tried the honey maple vanilla iced oat milk latte. ( familiar comfort in a cup. Subtly sweet, layered, and dangerously easy to drink.) And the real standout: their handmade vanilla sweet cream cold foam. This isn't your standard topping. it's thick, velvety, and crafted in-house, which you don't see often at mobile coffee setups. That alone sets them apart. I will definitely be back again before I leave on Thursday because I have to try thier lemonade!

It's nestled just inside the senior services building which in itself is beautiful! There are lots of delicious fresh pastries to choose from. I chose the huge blueberry nut muffin and sweet potato tart. The muffin was filled with fresh plump blueberries, and nuts that were fresh crunchy and a wonderful marriage. The sweet potato tart was spicy and I could really appreciate the nutmeg cinnamon and allspice flavors in a creamy sweet potato base. The crust was also very well prepared as it was just crunchy enough. The owners Al and Eric who told me his nickname is turmeric were also there and they were so pleasant and kind. Eric told me that his nickname is turmeric, and I complimented him on the excellent play on his name. He told me that they have events often and tonight they will be having a tribute to D'Angelo with the DJ and everything! Later in the month, they are going to have a Prince tribute as well! He also mentioned a paint and sip event where the artist will be there. They have beautiful art on the walls and the vibe here is cozy and pleasant. There was beautiful music playing at just the right volume as you entered. The prices are also very good as I paid less than $20 for my mocha latte which was called the Twin City mint because it had mint in it muffin and sweet potato tart! the Twin City mint was only one of the fun Winston-Salem based names that all of their drinks have. The Twin City mint was mocha latte with mint added to it. I also love the fact that I was able to order my drink modified with one pump of dark chocolate instead of 2 1/2 pump of mint instead of two. I love the fact that they allow you to customize their drinks. This is very important as it is very customer oriented! they are open Tuesdays through Fridays from 7 AM until 2 PM but on the nights that they have events of course they're open longer. You have to follow them on Facebook to find out about all of the fun events they will be having! I will definitely be back!
