Coffee's here running on the sweet side if you get a flavored coffee, very very sweet side especially for me. When I come back with friends I definitely have to get something like a normal plain latte. I ordered the green tea lavender iced tea, again, super sweet and no taste of lavender whatsoever. I tried this drive thru coffee bar on my way to visit family and the options are AMAZING! I couldn't decide what to try but chose a medium caramel macchiato! It came out to $5.88 which I think is very fair and tasted wonderful! I took off one star because the customer service was not very good. I pulled up and there was someone standing outside to take my order. When I pulled up she didn't say anything to me and just stared. I've never been here before so I found this to be a weird interaction. There was no greeting or anything. I have stopped going to Starbucks because I LOVE clutch. The staff are super sweet and always make great conversation. You have several different options as far as drinks go. I like that there's more choices than coffee and tea. My personal favorite it'either the dream bar or a strawberry vanilla energy drink. They have a rewards program as well. I've been around the world, the United States, and spent time throughout the South-- this is still my favorite coffee I've had yet. It may sound dramatic but that's only because it is. This coffee should be sensationalized. It should be made famous and praised. It is that good. I don't know if it's because I like sweet coffee or strong coffee, both of which they exhibit effortlessly, but Clutch coffee is just so amazing to me. Finally got out to @clutchcoffee to check them out. I got the caramel macchiato and the hubs got an avalanche. Both drinks are very good though we both commented that we would have them make them a little sweeter next time. The espresso is dry smooth and I didn't pick up any bitter aftertaste that I tend to at other coffee shops. They have walk-in service until 7pm and the drive-thru is open until 9pm. They are currently only accepting electronic methods of payment. They are located on University Parkway in a little set of shops at the intersection of Robin Wood Lane. They have a selection of baked goods and oatmeal. They also sell their coffee and carry a selection of merchandise. They have a location opening in Greensboro towards the end of the month and one coming to Clemmons this spring. Can't wait for that location to open. read more

Took my wife on a Sunday coffee date, courtesy of Elite event. I got the s'mores flavor coffee that was very tasty and definitely packed with caffeine. I was buzzing pretty good. My better half got a s'mores shake which tasted delicious as well, and the large is a gigantic size too! They also have on the menu some snacks/cookies, etc and some healthier drink options too - teas and I think I saw smoothies as well. I would compare price and quality to high end chain coffee shops. They also have bags of gourmet coffee beans that I assume are for sale as well. Pricy but good for a treat. Do note that if you have a free drink through their rewards program (or the Yelp elite offer) that you are only able to redeem one freebie per visit. I've never been to Clutch Coffee before but decided to check them out. I visited the Winston-Salem location since it was closest to me. I was looking to try one of their newer sandwiches, but the cashier told me that she highly recommended the Waffle Sandwich and that I should give it a try so I went with her recommendation. I also decided to complement the sandwich with a mango smoothie to treat myself after a long work week. When I received the sandwich, I was slightly disappointed to see it prepackaged and heated up in a plastic bag. The waffles that were used for the bread were a bit too moist for my liking but were sweetened at an appropriate level. Overall, the sandwich was not overbearingly sweet. At 500 calories, it is definitely a hefty breakfast for a quick meal. The mango smoothie was a nice treat for a warm, summer day. The mango flavor profile was present. The only downside about this smoothie is the price for the amount of smoothie you get. WORTH IT? Maybe, if you're looking to venture out and try all the different coffee shops in Winston-Salem. First time checking out Clutch Coffee bar. Interesting assortment of drinks. Anything from coffee, to smoothies, juices and milkshakes. I got a large milkshake both times. It was HUGE! I thought they tasted great and can see myself returning if I'm on that side of town again. They have a drive thru also. The inside is a bit small, had a few tables. This is a much needed business in Winston and I am so glad it is finally open. There menu of drinks will satisfy any and all customers. There is something for everyone, from Coffee's, lattes, Smoothies, shakes, to exotic drinks like the Coco Loco that I got. A concoction of Coconut and Strawberry that fizzes with each sip with a punch full of flavor. For my second drink I got a Mango Smoothie that was cool and refreshing with every sip. In the world of coffee shops, there is one Goliath that towers above all the rest, and I know I don't have to tell you that it is Starbucks. No one else is really even close, with the possible exception of Dunkin (if you want to count them), with only 1/3 the number of stores as Starbucks. Nevertheless, every now and then you will see a David pop up, probably not in any attempt to slay mighty Goliath as David perhaps did some 3,000 years ago, but rather to carve their own little niche in the coffee landscape. You will see little boutique coffee shops in downtown areas that find their way, but Clutch is different. The two I am familiar with have plunked themselves down within a stone's throw of a Starbucks. This is dangerous. Clutch is counting on their different approach to ensure their success. They have rejected the muted, sophisticated air adopted my most Starbucks in exchange for an atmosphere clearly directed at younger millennials and Gen Z, decorating with bright colors and loudly playing energetic, modern pop music. Interestingly, the energy was nowhere to be found in the barista. I don't think she could have been more disinterested. But how's the coffee? I ordered the Aloha Latte, a macadamia-chocolate mix. It was very drinkable, but I found it a bit cloying, somewhat timid, and I did not detect much macadamia. The flavorings tasted cheap and left an unpleasant aftertaste. It wasn't bad. It was, as I said, drinkable. But this David will not slay Goliath. read more

I love coconut so I ordered the Cloud9 with is their Mocha (espresso, chocolate milk, coconut syrup) all I can think of was a Mound bar (yum). The second beverage I ordered was the Coco Loco which is their carbonated energy drink (strawberry and coconut flavor) both were good. Nothing OMG extraordinary. The espresso flavor is not as strong as other coffee spots, which is what I like. I don't enjoy the taste of coffee so that's good. Everyone is wearing masks, the young lady at the register was nice & welcomed me when I walked in. They have a loyalty program you just give them your telephone number and you're signed up!
