She found an ad (no where on the add did it say you had to bring it in!!) for a 69.00 dollar oil change- she called Foreign Auto Clinic and booked an appointment - she was very clear that she had a coupon. She went in today, waited for 2.5 hours and when it came time to pay they charged her well over 200 dollars. She started to tear up and explained that she couldn't afford that. The man behind the counter was so rude to her that she left crying. She was crying so bad that she couldn't see and wrecked her car. She called me sobbing after she wrecked, big ugly crying!! I've never heard her cry like that. I didn't even know what had happened until I got all the way to her from Lorena. To say that I am livid is an understatement. It took everything in me not to storm over there. I am shocked at the lack of professionalism and just overall empathy. I would have even been willing to drive this ad into town, since they insisted she needed it. He even had the audacity to show her the ad in a magazine on the counter and say, "you mean this one!" (He freaking had one he could have used for her), "oh, you have to have it with you." She tried to explain that it didn't say she had to bring it and she told them when she called and booked her appointment. I called and left a message for the owner (they were rude to me too, big surprise ). I've asked that the owner reach out to me as soon as possible. But honestly, even if they give her back her money, it doesn't make this situation right. This is not okay.

While calling around, I spoke with two employees at this shop, a woman and a gentlemen who I imagine was the owner or manager. For simply looking or asking for help, I was berated for owning an electric car, despite needing service that is fairly typical on most cars. The phrase "it's your own fault for purchasing that car, you know what you're getting into" is not something I imagine someone who needs help should hear in a time of need. I understand I may have been a bit needless as we were trying to solve our problem, but I did not expect this degree of treatment or discrimination for owning a particular type of vehicle. They were also very unwilling to help when I was hoping for any referral or recommendations on how I might be able to get my brake pads replaced. Ultimately, I was left without help and feeling even worse than when I began the call. Would not recommend for service. Absolutely would not recommend if you own an EV. Tesla owners especially, this is exactly where you'll find people willing to make you feel bad about your purchase. Unless you perfectly fit the "profile" for the type of work they do, go elsewhere. I imagine you might get better treatment.

Previously I had a great experience Big brand tire service for helping replace my brakes and…read moregetting a new ABS pump installed. They absolutely care about their customers. However, I recently had a new AC condenser and compressor installed, over $2k for parts and labor. Two weeks later the AC started to fail again. I unfortantely moved during this time to a different state and was not able to take it back to the same shop, which I understand is a limitation on my part. Once I took it to a new shop they informed me that there was another leak in the condenser, potentially from improper installation the first time. Pretty frustrating to spend that much just to have the repair fail again and now paying another $900 for a new condenser. Wish there was more accountability with the first installation
