Things that I really appreciated: They were close enough to campus for her to drive the car to instead of having to have it towed. Everyone was very kind to my daughter, especially Gabriella. They were thorough checking the engine over for damage from overheating and identified a number of minor oil leaks that really needed to be addressed. My wife and I were visiting Waco on a short vacation when the "low tire pressure" alert appeared on the dash board of our rental car. The tire pressure was down to 16 and we knew we needed to address the problem. We called Perales Brothers Automotive, explained our problem, that we were from New York and only in town for 2 days and they told us to come right over. When we arrived, they had cars up on the lifts in each of their bays. Being fully aware that they'd get no return business from us, they still cleared one of the bays for our rental car, discovered a 3 inch nail in the tire, which they removed and promptly repaired the tire. For this incredible kindness and service, they charged only $20. After this experience, if we lived in the Waco area, Perales Brothers Automotive would get all of our car upkeep/repair business. As I was parking at the Silos on Friday afternoon, I noticed my check battery light was on. Yesterday I ran over an item on IH35, pulled over and saw no damage to my tires and could not find what had been ran over. I love they are willing to do a complete inspection and let you know the big picture what's going on. They also can help you prioritize the repairs to fit your budget better. They can pick you up/drop you off. And they have an overnight box for dropping off your vehicle. The mechanics will also show you the defective part(s) they pulled as well. These guys know what they are doing and they have competitive prices. I had several things that needed to be done, namely, breaks, new spark plugs, gasket seal, headlight switch repair, Thermostat, etc. I was so happy when they give me the final price because I expected a much higher bill (like in California). They do a thorough job at going over your automobile to see if there is anything else that is needed. And they want to make sure you are safe driving your automobile. They explain everything to you. Their customer service is phenomenal. Everyone there, including Alonzo and Gabriella, is very patient and friendly. I have found my mechanic in Waco Texas. I won't be going anywhere else. When we exited that's when we noticed that our car was making this high screeching noise EVERYTIME we breaked. We freaked out and stopped by this auto shop. This post is lengthy, but informative. I had taken my vehicle to a big name dealership for my A/C to be repaired on July 5th. They assured me that they could get the part and my car would be fixed on Thursday(July 6th). The guy at the counter told me that my vehicle also had 2 recalls that they could fix. I agreed for the recalls fix and went on my way. They called me back later on that day and quoted me $888 for 2 A/C hoses that were leaking. I told the mechanic at the dealership that I had some appointments on Thursday and that I would need a vehicle to drive until mine was fixed. He told me that they didn't have any and I told the dealership that I would just come pick up my vehicle. He said that my vehicle was apart and it would take some time for them to put it back together. He then put me on hold and came back and said, oh we have some new ones they just put into the fleet. I then spoke with my husband and he told me to start shopping around for a cheaper quote. I called the dealership back(Wed) and told them, I would just be in to pick up my vehicle. The mechanic then told me, oh you don't need those 2 hoses, you only need one, the price is going to be $500. I said, I'm just going to pick up my vehicle(Wed). I get to the dealership at 8am on Thursday(they open at 7am), they had not completed my recalls nor put my vehicle back together. I was charged $150 for them to diagnose my vehicle. I waited for an hr for them to pull my car around. I put a post on FB and a friend of mines said that she had used Perales Brothers the week before to fix her A/C and had a good experience with them and the price was $400 less than what the dealership was going to charge. After my appointments, I drove to Perales Brothers and spoke with Angela at the front counter and told her what had happened. She told me to come back after lunch as they were swamped. I went back after lunch and Angela told me that I would have to leave my vehicle with them overnight so I told her I would need a ride home. We drove my car home and drove my car back to Perales Brothers. I get a call later that day from Angela that they cannot find the part anywhere and the closest place to get it from is Houston and it would Monday before they could get the part in. I was disappointed but told her okay, thanks. On Friday afternoon, I needed some things out of my vehicle and was about 10 mins from Perales Brothers shop when I get a call from Angela. She informs me that my car is indeed FIXED and ready to be picked up. I was so overjoyed and drove a little faster to get there. I get there and the quote was $330.$550 less than what the dealership quoted me. I would recommend Perales Brothers to anyone and they for sure will have my business from now on. read more
