The gentlemen who took care of everything were amazing, they were knowledgeable and transparent in their answers which put my mind at ease. I can now visit my mom without any concerns. They offered a free attic inspection -- and I later learned they also do free crawl space inspections. The technician, Chris, came out, went up into the attic, and came back down with several photos. When I asked him to email the pictures to me, he said he would. I've made that same request twice to the office since then, and I still don't have the photos. During the visit, he pointed to marks in the pictures and said they were "signs of pests." He also pointed out a tiny hole in the insulation, claiming it was pest-related -- though honestly, it was so small that only a bug could fit through. His recommendation was to remove all of the attic insulation, treat for pests, reinstall new insulation, and cover the outside vents -- for a total of just over $4,000. I haven't seen or heard any evidence of pests in my attic -- no scratching, no droppings, nothing. Yet I can't reach Chris, and the office still hasn't sent me his report or photos. So I'm left wondering: was Orkin being honest about an infestation, or did the technician just make a big claim and move on?

I called Ron on a Saturday, and he came over that afternoon. He found how they were getting in, removed the squirrels and temporarily plugged up the hold. He left a trap in the attic and told me to listen for any additional activity over the next few days. There wasn't any so he came back and sealed up the entry point. She was polite and passed information onto tech as she said she would. One drawback is the company does not carry ladders to reach upper areas which was the case for me. Technician's name is Shayne and he called to alert me of arrival which was within minutes of speaking to the office. He was very knowledgeable, reassuring of his work and did his best to reach the soffit where the bees were beginning a nest. He did an inspection and treatment of the entire perimeter of my unit and explained everything well. Good job!

Your salesperson misrepresented the payment arrangement. I gave your representative a check for $140.00 for extermination services provided on April 23, 2026. The date of the check was April 23, 2026, and cleared on April 27, 2026; your company has provided no other services since then. The representative told me I could decide on the payment arrangement for future services during the next three-month visit. However, on May 21, 2026, without my authorization, he used the information from the April 23 check to draft a $85.00 payment from my account. Because this was neither my understanding nor our agreement, I placed a stop payment on the unauthorized draft on May 26, 2026. As a result of this misrepresentation and unauthorized action, I incurred a $30.00 stop-payment fee. I trust this is not Home Team Pest Defense's standard business practice and that deceptive sales tactics are not part of your company's operations. Such conduct is especially troubling when directed at seniors or other vulnerable individuals, as it can cause unnecessary stress and anxiety, which it has.
