While visiting…read moremy mother in Oxford, who is new to the area residing in senior assisted living care, I needed to find a new local theater for us to continue our Mommy Daughter Dates. We are movie goers who see screenings weekly. I stumbled upon this quaint local theater on Google. I will admit, at first sight, this theater appears very dated. But Oldies, can be goodies! We arrived a half an hour ahead of the 4:00 pm screening for Michael. Parking was very easy for me when visiting with someone with mobility challenges. We were lucky to score a spot right at the front entrance. Staff were very welcoming and pleasant to engage with. The website was not very convenient to purchase tickets through. I visited the cashier at concessions and she quickly helped with my purchase. Tickets here are affordable even for evening shows. I really appreciated that. I ordered a Cherry Icee from Concessions and it immediately gave me all the warm and fuzzy nostalgia of the 90's. It was perfect for today's humid temperatures. I found the temperature in Theater 2, perfect! This was the first time my mom sat through a screening without complaining. She remained comfortable in her recliner the whole show. We sat in the 2nd to last row, and despite what the reviews say about the seats, I found them comfortable and not worn like a lot of the Regal theaters. I advise movie goers to arrive 30-45 minutes ahead of your screening time. This is an Old School Theater. There are no assigned seats. First come, first seated & served. Concessions can get very busy. I will absolutely return for a matinee and concession treats with mom again. Thank you to the staff.

We were celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary at Kerr Lake and decided to play a competitive…read moregame of putt putt here at Adventure Island. The gentleman that helped us at the front desk was very friendly and even allowed us to take a bottled water on the course and boy was I glad because it was hot. As a general rule though I dont think drinks are allowed. We didn't really venture in to the other areas so we cant speak to them. The course was challenging and fun and is very affordable. Only suggestion would be to update some of the greens as with some of the seams splitting it caused some precarious issues with putts and making par. The landscaping was beautiful although some of the ivy was creeping onto the courses. We bring our grandkids to the lake occasionally and now that we know about Adventure Island we will definitely be back.

Disappointed with how the company responds to scheduling an appointment for a simple repair to…read morehappen & they also tried to tell me that the started was out after viewing the dryer for 2 seconds tops. Then because we unscrewed the back panel behind the dryer to make sure there wasn't anything else wrong with said dryer-- we figured out that we only needed to replaced the knob (which was the only thing wrong with it) they apparently decided to charge us more since we took a look to see what the issue was. We also played phone tag with them over a weeks time trying to get the knob for a dryer-- should have just ordered the part online and done it ourselves.
