He clearly does not have the same customer service or social skills as the other workers. He is extremely flippant with customers and his staff members (in front of customers), not warm at all and is also belittling. He miscommunicated about payment on the phone and when I asked him about that, he snapped at me, said he told me and went right into the back of the store again. No apology or accountability on his end and clearly no respect for the loyal clientele. I watched an assistant rush around, clearly stressed, with a huge line up and I saw that he was berating her and then returning to the back of the store again. My family members have caught him being rude with the assistants and clerks several of time. Not a fan of his attitude at all and I don't understand where he gets off thinking that conducting yourself in such a way is acceptable. Whenever I see him working now, I wait for the other pharmacist. I refuse to work with him. If he continues to interact poorly with me, I will probably transfer all of my prescriptions to Shoppers. Definitely not okay.

Our list had scissors and tape (both of which we found for cheaper than at a nearby Michael's), first aid kit labelled specifically for office use, and COVID hygiene products like antibacterial wet wipes for hands and cleaning surfaces. This Rexall has a few self check-outs and/or very friendly cashiers that can you help you out. We didn't have a Be Well card, which is their loyalty program and they were able to get us up and running with a quick scan of a new card. The card is free but you have to register your email online with it to redeem points.

The hand cream that she was using wasn't healing a thing. I found one brand that seemed promising while doing some research online. The site said that it was available at this particular Shoppers Drug Mart. The store was conveniently on my way home from work. Then again, I cut across most of the GTA, so I pass by a ton of stores! This store is in a plaza. There seemed to be a Food Basics or some green-painted grocery store that has closed down. Shoppers Drug Mart is in the corner further down. The parking area can be a bit chaotic. It's an older plaza and the lanes are more narrow than what I'm used to in suburbia. This store has been here for a while. It has everything that you'd expect it to have, including a grocery aisle. I walked every aisle and could not find the hand cream that I was looking for, which was disappointing. However, there was a Gold Bond one that was on sale. It has been approved by the Canadian Diabetes Society. It has proven results. It was also on sale. I bought it! I dropped the cream off at my parents' place. My mom said that she would try the hand cream out immediately. This morning, I spoke to my mom. She said that three hours later, she noticed a huge difference. She no longer has cracked hands. Nice! She asked me whether she could pay me back. Hearing her say that this product works is all that I wanted. The lone cashier at this store was friendly and made sure that each customer was okay. She helped out a senior ahead of me. Doesn't matter what it is, it is like a right of passage that on any shopping quest, I MUST first step through it's sacred sliding doors into the soft scents that can only be the cosmetics section (rereading that I think I may need some help......) In all honesty, I do think this is a great retail environment and not only because I seem to always need what shoppers has to offer. They really have it right on the retail environment. The layout is great, the visibility is amazing (it's always the brightest store) and the staff is friendly enough. It has everything and the mix of retail and pharmacy is great...what else are you going to do while waiting for the pharmacist to mix all the magical potions and call on the gods to create that coffee syrup (ok I'm not crazy but sometimes I do wonder why you have to wait for your prescription when the doctor wrote down the exact amount and the type...is it the handwriting they are figuring out...it's got to be so we have to shop around right???)? After about 8 years at this location, I have finally given up. There have been periodic problems…read morewith too much medication or not enough. Today, I had to have a medication review because, once again, my medication was out of whack. After getting multiple reminder texts to ensure I would be prompt (they want us to respect their time), I left work and arrived on time but was told the prior appointment arrived late and I would have to wait. Even though a lady was available to do the review, she told me their rule is to take turns, and honouring my appointment was a lesser priority. She told me others have also complained, and apologized, offering to rebook. However, I cannot trust that this will not be repeated. I am 64 years old, and medication problems are not the same as cold French fries - our health matters. I also expect to be treated with the same respect I show to others. I have decided to find a pharmacy I can trust, and I recommend others do the same.
