The Original (OG) is a nice coffee shop. Was in town for a corporate event with Jamf - IT device management software company :-). Awesome venue for approx 2,000 people. Food, drinks and great service. Multiple restaurants, food court, silent dance, golf simulators, trivia, VR, and more was available. No lines due to the many setups for food and drinks all over the premises. Nice place to gather before and after a Rockies game. McGregor Square is a 17,000-square-foot outdoor gathering space with a giant LED screen right next to Coors Field. It has office spaces and places to eat like Carmine's, Tom's Watch Bar and Milepost Zero Food Hall. This courtyard hosts festivals, concerts and movies on the LED screen. McGregor Square is a super cool spot in downtown Denver near Coors Field. If you're on the 3rd baseline this is the perfect area to pre-game because you can leave here and walk directly over to that gate -- it's so convenient! It's super cool to watch other sporting events here on the massive screen above. It's high though so you are looking way up especially if you're right underneath it. I watched an Avs game here and it was pretty fun. They also have movie nights and a small grassy hill comfortably farther away. Around the square are several businesses, Tom's Watch Bar and Milepost Zero the food and drink hall. Wish Milepost wasn't so expensive -- ever notice food halls where different vendors share the space you'd think save money by sharing costs are always way super MORE expensive? Hm. read more

Parking public garage entrance located on Wazee St (SE corner). Let's start by honoring the late McGregor who was an executive staff member President of the Colorado Rockies from 1993-2010. Keli S. McGregor was a local legend playing football for Lakewood High school, Colorado State, and professionally as TE for the 1985 Denver Broncos. After retirement, he got a masters degree in education and worked for University of Florida, University of Arkansas, and came back home and took on the job of director of operations for the 1993 Colorado Rockies expansion MLB team. Coors Field wasn't' built until 1995. The first pitch was at Mile High Stadium. Rockies organization decided to honor him and put his name at this new development at the corner of 20th/Wazee. This used to be an empty parking lot but now it has got to be the best place to visit for a beer or 12 in my opinion. This gives Denver Milk Market some nearby competition since millennials love food halls. This place is auto 5 stars because of my bias and I bleed purple and I've been watching the Rox since the beginning days of Blake Street Bombers. The McGregor facility have pesonal residences available for sale (if you are a Dubai prince) and they also have the Rally Hotel (for visitors of Dubai prince). "Milepost Zero" food hall has 7 stalls to choose from including a self-serve beer wall. Outside of the square center public peasant tables are available for me and you. There's even a trailer RV serving lowly Coors Lights at $8 a pop. My favorite is the grass area to watch Rockies games on the big TV. 5 sit down restaurants also available and be sure to check the Tattered Cover Bookstore. This is really the Gem Of the ballpark neighborhood. After many years of development and then construction, McGregor Square is open! This is a mixed use development designed to bring locals, tourists and baseball lovers together in one place. Hotels. Pubs. Food. Food. Food. Shops. Banking. Tons of outdoor seating options and adjacent access to the ballpark make this a great place before or after a game or a fun spot for an evening hangout on Thursday when they show movies in the square on the massive Jumbotron type screen. The Rally Hotel has some excellent views and a unique baseball themed experience. Rooms are exceptionally well done with a rooftop pool, patio, bar, hot tub hangout vibe. Tattered Cover bookstore brings a touch of history and culture connected to a spacious Starbucks with even more great outdoor seating. We've eaten at The Original and enjoyed. Tom's Watchbar appears to be The Sports-bar Experience for those who want beer, TVs, food and a virtual batting cage. Nearby you have Coors Field, Union Station, Milk Market, LoDo nighttime craziness and walking access to the confluence. read more

They paved a parking lot and put up a Colorado Rockies MLB paradise. That very MLB paradise is the Colorado Rockies-owned mixed use development on a former parking lot across from Coor's Field in Lower Downtown Denver (Lodo).   When I visited Denver in the summer of 2022, I had seen some of the Covid-19 economic casualties. However, I saw promise with the birth of a new mixed-use development that celebrates the Colorado Rockies to the degree of it being named after the late Colorado Rockies President Keli McGregor. Opened in March of 2021, this promising development is McGregor Square. After spending quite a bit of time here, I consider it Coor's Field's fourth base. It has a Colorado Rockies spirit that is especially felt in the Rally Hotel that overlooks Coor's Field and could  be home to a Colorado Rockies Hall of Fame. This Colorado Rockies spirit is felt in Tom's Watch Bar where patrons can watch the Rockies, in the hilly grassy area that mimics a dug out, the plaza with a stadium sized L.E.D. screen and the MLB fans filling up the place.     When we visited Denver in 2017, I remember that they were building McGregor Square and that  most of the pre-game and post-game action seemed to be around Blake Street. Fast forward to 2022, we would visit McGregor Square three times before the game and twice after. I was impressed by the way it helped transform Wynkoop Street between the 16th Street Mall and Coor's Field into this vibrant series of blocks. With Denver Union Station and the Dairy Block to the west, McGregor Square has made Wynkoop Street a fun place to visit (when it is populated) throughout the year. The three times that we saw the Colorado Rockies games this summer, we entered by means of Gate E (near the outfield) which truly is a continuation of the McGregor Square walkway and east terminus of Wynkoop Street. Due to the crowds of people these developments attract, especially before and after the game, Wynkoop Street was my preferred walking route between Coor's Field and the 16th Street Mall Freeride.     After walking around LoDo before the game, the McGregor Square benches made a nice spot to relax and watch the MLB fans. From my bench of choice where walkways continue to the stadium and turn towards the plaza, I took in the contrast between the historic LoDo architecture with the modernism of two of the three towers topping off at thirteen feet above the central Plaza that includes a grass area resembling a dugout. The skybridge that connects the two towers, the Rally Hotel with the residential tower was a contract from the former warehouses. This was a picturesque spot to relax before the MLB action. At nighttime, when we passed through here after the game it was especially picturesque when all lit up. With McGregor Square being very new, I saw the want for mature trees to provide shade. In our latest visit here we'd get shade here sitting on a cozy couch in their Milepost Zero Food Hall before dining down the walkway in Tom's Watch Bar.    From the time that I spent here with my family, it was so obvious that McGregor Square is doing a fantastic job entertaining Colorado Rockies fans before and after the game. Remembering seeing the Colorado Rockies in 2017, I am aware that McGregor Square has brought a lot more people onto Wynkoop Street. In MLB terminology, you can say that the Colorado Rockies have hit a home run with McGregor Square. read more

Such a great place to enjoy nice weather. The little mini lawn slope is a great place to chill and drink a beer, and all of the restaurants and bars surrounding the area are fun to be at. The large TV is amazing and perfect for watching Rockies games without being at Coors. It's also great to start here with some drinks before heading into the stadium as it's right across the street. My friends and I all enjoyed hanging out and playing cornhole here before a game, and i particularly enjoyed all of the dogs I spotted. Looking forward to coming back again soon. read more

I had a chance to hang out in McGregor Square with my pup and a couple of friends during the All-Star game last night. It's a nice space, with a giant screen, a good bit of seating and a nice lawn area to watch the game -- note that dogs are not allowed on the grass, though. I am not sure if this is typical of all games, but there was a tent set up selling beer and hard seltzer, and of course there are sports bars, restaurants, and a food hall nearby. This is a Rockies development, through and through, and in a sense I am a bit sad that it has obstructed the view of the park from downtown, but it is a nice place to soak up some game day atmosphere whether you plan to go to the game or to just watch a bit on the big screen. So, I live right next door and was waking my dog by and we always walk through the courtyard and I was told it was all shut down because of the Nuggets game. I always thought this was a communal place to enjoy Denver and the community. I was told if I wanted in, it was $30 a person. My six girlfriends and I had an amazing afternoon yesterday enjoying exceptional food and drinks at McGregor Square after we were refused service at Milk Market because one of my girlfriends did not have proof of her vaccination status. After all the city & county of Denver mandates were dropped, Milk Market is requiring masks and proof of vaccination. We LOVED seeing all the HAPPY SMILING FACES at McGregor Square!! Wow! McGregors square had a $10 head charge to go into any business establishment during the Super Bowl. Walk less than a half a block . . . Really disappointed. We had a group all excited to watch the Avs playoff game on the lawn tonight. But of all nights, the security was told not to allow anyone on it despite the crowd that had gathered. So we all left with a bad taste. Even the security were scratching their heads. Watched the Avalanche game June 20, 2022 & was very disappointed. Main issue was only 4 toilets for women & I'm guessing not many more on the guys side! Come on....spring for port-a-potties when you're expecting 500+ drinking folks! We've watched multiple other games here & enjoyed them, but they were not ready for the size of the Avs crowds. We arrived early enough to get a highboy table with a great view, but they didn't appear to be counting crowd size. soon it was standing room only & they finally shut down the entrance. Crowd was respectful and even with a tough lost game people were having fun (Except for the men + women waiting for a bathroom.) They we're checking bags upon entrance, but not limiting size just confiscating alcoholic beverages. 24oz Banquets we're $11, so reasonable. Food hall was out of most main dishes by end of period 1.
