We first worked with him to install whole-house water filters and replacement of a bladder tank. Before that job even began, I had to follow up twice just to get pricing. During the repair, he informed us he didn't have the funds to purchase the necessary parts and asked us to front the money for parts. We were happy to oblige and sent the payment immediately. He assured us that he only purchases from professional plumbing suppliers that offer warranties -- but he later bought the equipment from Home Depot, which does not offer any such warranty. He also left the packaging and trash behind on our property and never returned to dispose of it. Upon installation of the filters, we began to experience issues within 4 days, he was kind enough to come out but ultimately the water filters do not work whatsoever. Following the repair, we asked him to provide a written estimate for FEMA, as required for our disaster relief claim. Again, I had to follow up multiple times just to receive the estimate. Once submitted in March, FEMA made several attempts in June and July to contact him for verification -- all of which went unanswered. We spoke with him in person at a community event during that time, and he smiled and told us he'd be happy to help "when FEMA calls" -- unaware they already had. Despite further follow-ups from me via text, he still never returned their calls despite promising to. Because of this, FEMA placed our appeal on hold and is now requiring us to obtain new estimates -- restarting the 60-day timeline. As of this week (nearly 6 weeks after FEMA initially contacted him) , I messaged him to update him that FEMA was requiring us to start over since he hasn't follow up. He wrote back and said he had just called them and they would call him back. I called FEMA to verify the next step and was told that he called but didn't have the estimates in front of him to verify and that it would be up to him to call back. I immediately followed up with him via text. It has been over 72 hours and we haven't heard back. We had previously recommended him to friends because of his friendly demeanor, but we can no longer do so. While we always want to support small, local businesses, this experience revealed a consistent pattern of poor communication, unfulfilled promises, and a lack of professional accountability -- and it has had real, ongoing consequences for our family.

We were told it could take 3-4 hours with Yeah an estimate cost of $811.00. Ok that caught me by surprise, but we have not needed plumbing work done in Nearly 20 years. And if it's gonna take 3 to 4 hours, I could see it running that much even though I did not think that severity of our kitchen needs would take 3 to 4 hours. It did not !! It took about an hour and a half (but we'll just say two hours.) Shouldn't the cost have been less since it took much less time to complete ? There would not have been an additional one to two hours of labor costs so the bill should have been considerably less . I called numerous appliance repair companies within an hour from us and was unable to connect with anyone available to assist. I then called Carter's Heating & Cooling, who put in our HVAC when we built 10 years ago here at the lake. It turns out they also ran the propane line to the house. Greg Carter was very responsive, and Jamie came out first thing the next morning. After doing an initial check of things, he disassembled the cooktop and found the leak at the regulator. Interestingly, we had a local appliance repair out here in 2019 when we smelled propane at the cooktop. While I don't know if they ever corrected the issue or not, Carters did! I have always been impressed with Carter's and highly recommend them if you want things done right.

Had a drip in my living room ceiling today, and they (Dan) were here within 20 minutes. Fixed a plugged drain line in the AC in another 20 -- crawling around in my attic to do it (120 degrees up there). On top of great service, I've dealt directly with the owner twice, and the owner's daughter usually manages the phones and dispatch. It's nice to not feel like you're being treated like a number.
