That's a lie, it's fraudulent, and your home warranty covers the entire cost. It's just a sneaky attempt by them to pocket some money by people who don't know any better. Before leaving, the technician was great about explaining what was OK and what would need replaced, which I appreciated. Due to it being a home warranty claim, there was a delay in the repair time-frame as they needed to write a report to the warranty company before they could start work. However, by the next week I had a scheduled appointment which was sooner than I expected with having to go through home warranty red-tape. The technician that came out was very polite, and did a very professional job removing the old equipment and installing the new. He also left the area clean after he was done. Another big plus was the courteousness of the office administrator that was interfacing me via phone to set the appointments. I probably took up way too much of her time asking questions on how the home warranty process worked, but she was more than happy to help answer any questions I had. Overall great experience with this company's service, and I will definitely keep them in mind for any future repairs.
