They said they were unable to refill my medication because they hadn't seen me in a year and that was because they canceled several appointments Dr. Fanous is nice but good luck trying to actually see him. His office staff is not professional and the restroom was unkempt. If he had seen me in August when my appointment was supposed to be, he could have diagnosed me and started treatment.

I was sitting behind a young man who had been shot in the stomach and kept going to the bathroom to throw-up. He was in a wheelchair and she came out and said to the young man "May I help you?" I couldn't believe he wasn't an emergency. They really need to get their priorities together. I left without treatment because I was not an emergency.

As an adult who married a Cystic Fibrosis patient and living in Odessa, ten hours away from the CF a clinic and his doctors.. MCH was nowhere near what we needed for my husband during a difficult health moment and I will say, this is a way smaller hospital than what my husband is used to and they don't really know about CF and what's needed. Transfer orders took forever, there was so much confusion on the Odessa side when the Houston side had everything figured out and were waiting for us. When we would talk to the nurses and doctors, they wouldn't listen. Respiratory took over a day to visit, good thing we brought our own meds, which they then took downstairs to check into their system to bring it back up so he could do his treatments and we never received our medicine. They never came back with it. OUR meds that we brought. We know that MCH is not where we will go next time. For smaller less concerning needs, it's fine. For us, we will just drive to Houston next time.

I finally left 2 1/2 hours later. They don't respect your time. When the doctor finally met me, he insulted my glasses. He also didn't ask my goals for the appointment. Multiple times I had to correct him that I was not interested in glasses, I wanted contacts. I also received an an incorrect prescription. The prescription gave me a headache, which I told them about. They told me to try it out and it might have just been because I waited long. I still have a headache after multiple attempts of trying the new prescription. They also made numerous clerical mistakes and called me multiple times when I said I would be busy. They called me multiple times to confirm. I returned their call a few hours later, but they continued to call because they made a mistake copying my insurance down which I confirmed with them a week prior. I noticed several other mistakes they copied wrong. I'm not sure if they are even trying. I would go somewhere else.

However, when sending an employee over alone, the registrar is very ignorant to what case management is and rude. She invited me to send my employee else where. I simply needs to communicate that we have modified duty available and I was advised that the doctor would be in charge of patient care! My advise to an employer, do not send an employee unaccompanied based on today's experience. If the support staff was as hospitable, I'd definitely score this facility a 5 Star hands down.
