The museum is easy to navigate and generally accessible. Parking is easy, the gift shop is nice, and the staff is friendly and loves to help answer any questions. The fireworks on Saturday night are probably the best you will see in the plains states. The entire show is computer timed to fit exactly with music. The pyrotechnical expert is out of Wichita KS and he deserves kudos. We watched $65,000.00 worth of fireworks light up the sky for nearly 30 minutes. Prior to the fireworks we watched two daredevil pilots wow a large crowd that may have numbered 10 or 12 thousand. We will certainly go back.

We drove about hour and a half from downtown KC to get here. The museum is a beautiful modern building with lots of parking spots in front. Super clean and well maintained. At the entrance hall, they have the reception (to purchase tickets), the gift shop and a small open theater where a video of Amelia plays on loop. The inside hall of the museum is so stunning. First of all there's an exact model of the aircraft Amelia flew to cross the Atlantic. There are also sections dedicated to Amelia's life and her achievements. There are also display of diesel engine and modern turbo engine, a tiny cockpit to simulate flying, and a small auditorium that played movie about aviation. A smaller upper level corner also had display of Amelia's tools, her diary and a section about her disappearance. We had an amazing experience, spending over an hour at the museum. The staff members were knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting stories and facts about Amelia during the visit. The gift shop had lots limited editions items such as compass and coins. I bought a few of them as souvenirs. The restrooms at the facility are also very clean.
