My 4yr old nearly died the day prior due to complications due to pancreatitis. He had to be hospitalized for stabilization and I picked him up from the hospital the following morning in stable condition but with directions to have him seen for follow up that day. I called every office between Buffalo and Eire and absolutely no one would see us. Ever the urgent cares turned us away due to being understaffed and overbooked. No one cared that he nearly died the night before. After over 6 hours of calling around I called The Animal Clinic. The staff member listened to my story like everyone else, told me the were booked solid like everyone else, and then created an appointment for us within an hour and a half of my calling so that the Dr could see us as soon as he got out of his current surgery. The staff was super kind. They recognized my story as soon as I gave my name. We were seen within minutes of arrival. The Dr seemed very knowledgeable and only ordered the labs we really needed so that the bill would be as affordable as possible. Staff followed up the following day, today, and were very kind and helpful. This clinic is an hour away from my home but will now be our permanent family Dr after the amazing service we got there this week!!!!

Our sweet cat was recently diagnosed with a very rare autoimmune disorder by Dr. Sliker. Most doctors don't know that this disease is found in cats, never mind think to look for it. He had odd symptoms but decided to run a blood panel to rule stuff out since he felt something wasn't quite right. 10 minutes later we knew something was seriously wrong. He ran further tests, and an hour and a half after getting to Camboro we had a diagnosis. What makes Camboro so wonderful is the staff. The doctor, vet tech, and woman behind the desk stayed 45 minutes after the hospital closed to help our little dude and to talk to my husband and I. While the doctor and tech were with our Charlie running more tests the receptionist brought us tissues and asked it we needed anything. None of the staff were bothered that they had to work late. They showed genuine care and worry for our cat. When we thanked them all they said that this is why they do what they do and that they would do what they could to help our family. They even gave us two cans of prescription can food for free to see if our guy would eat. Luckily he did, for the first time in days. Charlie has seen many doctors and techs at Camboro and everyone single person has been kind, knowledgable, and extremely helpful. From the moment you call to the second you leave the building, everyone is great. They all seem to genuinely care about your pet and see their careers as a passion. I cannot recommend Camboro Veterinary Hospital enough.

Other doctors wanted to see her in 4-5 months, but Dr. Scott, as he is called, saw us immediately even though we were from out of town. After reviewing his credentials and dental training we had our first meeting. He was very professional and extremely thorough in his exam. We even had a second pre-op visit five days prior to surgery. When he was sure all the labs were in normal range the surgery was performed. My little dog came through it with flying colors. Dr. Scott's post operative instructions were very specific which we followed to the letter. Within 24 hours my puppy was eating normal and by 12 days later it was as though she never underwent surgery. I would suggest, if your pet needs dental surgery and you are in the area, consider using Dr. Scott. He is well versed in dental surgery.

I was sent on my way with a bunch of medications and a diagnosis that he had some sort of stomach/intestinal bug. While there I had a few red flags, such as how the dr casually flipped my dog's one ear over and never used an instrument but said he needed his ears cleaned out and antibiotics. The next red flag was that he was suggesting all sorts of procedures that didn't seem to apply to the visit at hand, but more so to make him extra money. I want the best for my dog, but find wading through it all when I want to put my faith in the doctor to be unnerving. It's important to note this was my first time in the actual office bc Covid restrictions had never allowed me inside the building before. A little over a week later my dog was not eating and throwing up and having diarrhea again. I was on my way out of town and relying on someone else to take him to the vet. The first thing Monday morning i called the first vet that would take him. He was still a patient at Camboro and they opened a half hour or hour before Fairview Vet and they had an opening. I took it. It was an emergency and I needed my dog seen. I asked Fairview Vet to send the last visit over to this vet office so the veterinarian would know what medications he was on and what diagnosis Dr Scott had given. They will not send records to another office but they did send them to me, after calling a second time that morning. It never occurred to me that Dr Scott would take great offense to this. Camboro never minded when I took my dogs elsewhere and this was an emergency situation. Little did I know that he terminated both my dogs and the only reason I found out was because I called to have a medication refilled and was told we are no longer patients there. I am not disappointed that he isn't our vet anymore- I am disappointed in the unprofessional and unethical actions he took. Apparently loyalty to his business was more important than my dog being seen by the first person that would take him. They terminated us as patients and no one even told us that's their policy. I do feel in the end he did us a favor though. No one that is that callous should be taking care of your pet. Incidentally, my dog died a few days later. His liver and kidneys shut down. I not only do not recommend this vet, I will go out of my way to tell people they should avoid him.

I arrived at 11:00 AM, checked in, and noticed three other clients in the waiting room. After waiting for quite a while, I asked for an update and was told they had gotten busy and that I would need to continue waiting. There was no estimate given and no proactive communication about the delay. After an hour without being seen, I decided to leave. Before walking out, I asked if I could have my original 4:00 PM appointment back and requested that they not call to move my appointments earlier in the future. I was then told the next available appointment would be at the end of March. After rearranging my day at their request and then waiting over an hour with no meaningful communication, being told I couldn't even keep my original time was extremely frustrating. Unfortunately, I will be taking my pets elsewhere.

I had previously taken him to another vet who told me the only way to remove it was to put the dog under general anesthesia and do surgery at a cost of $400. The veterinarian here, Dr. Ventrello, was able to drain the cyst with a needle, along with plucking his ears and trimming his nails for a total cost of $56. I was very impressed as well with the way the doctor and the technician (whose name I cannot remember unfortunately) handled my dog from beginning to end. He is not the easiest pup to handle and is very wary of new people. Both of them were very loving and professional and as a result my dog was not subjected to any additional stress. While it is not guaranteed that the cyst will not come back because it was not completely removed by surgery I am very happy with the service I received and so far he is doing great!
