Our Great Dane has been seeing the same vet for the last 7 years, we recently moved to PA from a different state, changing vets can be stressful. I did my research to ensure they are familiar with the breed. Our Dane has severe separation anxiety that requires monthly daily medication along with our recent move he was getting a horrible rash on his neck. We scheduled his first visit. I am extremely happy to have chosen Choice Vets, they were informative and even resolved a long term issue that our previous vet never picked upon, our Dane always had issues with ear buildup, we constantly had to clean them, his nails were slightly discolored and we thought it was normal since they've been like that for years, vet explained that it was allergies he prescribed antibiotics and in a week we saw results, nails and ears are clear, rash is gone and they are quick about getting you in for an appointment. We discussed that we would not likely be able to perform surgery should Posey need surgery the following day (Friday, 3/24/23) as Dr. Watts would be the only doctor on duty and from day to day we never know how each day might turn out. Dr. Watts found that the painful mass in Posey's abdomen was a very large lymph node. No one could have differentiated a large lymph node from a foreign body/mass or other on physical examination of a painful patient. There are multiple communications that were recorded of your outlandish and outright childish behavior by phone, making demands that could not be met and ending communications by hanging up the phone on staff members (my practice manager included, whom has the patience of Job). I can't begin to try to explain the challenges of running a practice, but by and large, this practice has more people that truly and life-dedicatingly care more than any place or practice that I have ever experienced in nearly 20 years of practice and 35 years in the profession. I believe this goes without saying, but just in case, we ask that you seek any and all veterinary care outside of ours moving forward. Dr Ben and his entire staff have ALWAYS been kind and accommodating. Although we've not experienced any major difficulties with our fur baby, when he's had he occasional upset stomach everyone made time for us and we've been able to get in on an urgent basis with no problem. On another occasion, I had to go out-of-town for a funeral and my dog needed an updated vaccine to get into boarding and they got us in right away. Choice Vets has knowledgeable doctors and friendly, professional staff. They were amazing with my German Shepherd, Max, who is a very nervous dog at the vet. Dr, Orozco and his staff took their time with Max and did everything he needed to make him feel comfortable. They sprayed a piece of material with something to help him relax and had me tie it around his collar. They let me be in the room with him, and help hold him and distract him. They gave him peanut butter on a stick and treats while he was worked with and had his blood drawn and vaccinations given. He had no problem with any of it. Max was even performing, following Dr. Orozco's commands of "sit", "down" and "shake" by the end of it! I had come from a bad experience at the vet from across the street. That doctor took my dog in a back room, and came back to tell me my dog was "falling apart mentally" when they tried to touch him. That doctor refused to explain what that meant at my appointment. I was told he would need to be muzzled and sedated to be vaccinated. He would not let me try to assist my dog, who really just needed his mommy. That didn't sit well with me, to not even let me try to be with my dog, so I came back a few days later to fill out paperwork for his records transfer. The vet actually had the nerve to came out of the exam room to practically beg me not to take Max to Choice Vets. It was so unprofessional, and clearly He is the one falling apart mentally because the new vet in town is way better with animals. I don't know what they did to him in that back room, but my dog didn't need muzzled or sedated. He just needed some patience and his mommy. read more

My experience with this "Health care provider" for animals, is a case study in how not to be a caring pet provider. They let my animal SUFFER for 5 weeks with a highly treatable skin condition because they didn't "have the time to see him." Refused to give me the medicine they knew would relieve his suffering. "Oh you can bring him in on an emergency appointment and we'll see him right away for an additional $100." Then when you see Dr. Orosco, he will spend 25 minutes telling you what a horrible pet parent you are because your pet is overweight, late for shots, don't purchase his recommended items which are 2x the cost you can find elsewhere. I hope for the sake of you who take your pets there, he is better with animals than people. read more

I called Dr. Benjamin W. Orozco who knew my dog is very sick Wednesday the 1st of April 2020, and again on Saturday, April 4th, 2020. I got a callback 7 days later, Tuesday, April 7th, 2020. Sunday I had to take my dog to the Emergency hospital to be put down. I said to Dr.Benjamin W, Orozco Veterinarian that I called him last Wednesday and he is getting back to me now; he responds that he was very busy sorry and if I do not like his services there are plenty of other places I could go; at that point I had enough told him my dog is dead and hung up. I recently took my dog to Choice Vets. She wasn't eating or drinking. Dr Watts was so kind. He came up with a plan of treatment. He took time to explain what was happening to her. He was so concerned and caring. My Polly didn't respond to the treatment. Dr Orozco, her regular vet showed such thoughtfulness, kindness and respect to both me and Polly. I had a great experience here!! I took my cat here for a second opinion after two people suggested Dr. Ben to me. The second opinion appt was free, and they gave me a way better quote for my cats surgery plus he found another problem spot on my cat the second he touched him. George had his surgery today and Dr. Ben called me right after and gave me a detailed explanation of the whole surgery! The office staff is extremely nice, the waiting room and examination rooms are very clean, and Dr. Ben is extremely talented and I felt very confident leaving my cat in his care.
