Lowe's Home Improvement - Full on crazy for Xmas way before Halloween and Thanksgiving. I mean I know is a money maker but wow!

I put in an online order on Saturday. Long story short, most of it was cancelled because items…read morewere apparently no longer in stock. I was ticked because I'd used a coupon and had spent considerable time comparing prices between Lowes, Amazon, Walmart and Target before placing my order. So I felt like my time had been wasted and I had to start all over. So I called and demanded to speak to a manager. I spoke with Chuck, a manager. I explained to him what had happened (I moreso was probably yelling because I was irritated). He listened, was calm, and asked me to hold so he could figure out what happened. He came back a few minutes later, explained the error on their part (a new employee had accidentally cancelled my order) and offered to make it right. He told me a girl named Rocky would call me in a few minutes to ensure everything in my order was pulled and correct. So Rocky (a girl) called a few minutes later. She was also nice and apologetic. She ensured my order was right. They were out of some things (we are in the middle of a pandemic and their online orders are crazy right now so that's understandable). She offered me more than adequate substitutions for the items that were out of stock (some were actually upgrades) and I am more than satisfied. Let's be honest- stores are going to mess up. Mistakes happen. But I think how they respond to their mistakes is what really matters. This store excels at this. They always apologize when they are wrong and they go above and beyond to fix it. This is actually my second positive experience with this store (we once ordered a dishwasher that was supposed to be in stock but would actually take 3 weeks to come in... I was NOT waiting 3 weeks, so they upgraded me to a nicer dishwasher that was available the next day. My experiences at Home Depot are NEVER that good and I think it's what makes Lowes (at least this store) better, in my opinion.

The manager Alex was absolutely rude. We purchased a patio set and found out the set was missing…read moretwo swivel chairs. Had the table and the other 4 chairs. The three employees who helped us were wonderful. Alex was not interested in keeping the sale and figuring out a way to make things right. She was more interested in the Halloween display and selling a dremel set to carve pumpkins. Alex was extremely rude and said that's retail. She obviously didnt care that her store(Statesbiro, Ga.)lost a $1000 sale.

Tractor Supply - Door buster by the main entrance: Holiday wreaths. (Seriously, do not buy any plants or bulbs from here.)

With the DEI BS, they are awesome to shop at... I love the selection of stuff. I always find…read moresomething I didn't know I needed!

This is one of the worst run Tractor Supply stores I have ever been to. If you are looking for…read moregarden stuff or anything that could be ruined by being stored wrong or mistreated, then go somewhere else. For Tractor Supply, go to the Claxton Tractor Supply location. The one is Claxton is a much better kept store. For feed store type stuff, probably go to Tillman Brannen and Minick in Statesboro which keeps irregular hours (will be closed randomly when posted hours say it's open), but is well run and doesn't spoil or damage the merchandise. Now... about this Statesboro Tractor Supply... This store is badly run. Things are just not kept well, and it's worth the extra trip to go to the Claxton Tractor Supply. This store: Well I feel like a complete looser after buying a blueberry here today. I thought the leaves had died, but roots were OK and it would pop up, and the variety of blueberry looked interesting. Got it home, got it out, and the roots are rotted and have been dead a while. Previously, I had my husband pick up 10 tomato cages here, and half of them had welds that weren't welded and had popped off, which is on him to have brought home, but also a store shouldn't sell things broken. I exchanged them in the Claxton Tractor Supply store, where the merchandise is kept better, which is unfair to the Claxton location to eat the cost of things that this Statesboro store probably busted up. Basically, live plants here and seed potatoes and such are probably dead, and anything that can get banged up is probably banged up. I also wouldn't buy pet food or livestock food here, because no way of knowing how it's been stored and no one is minding this store. It probably would be OK, but other stuff is stored wrong, so my guess is everything is mistreated here. Just drive to Claxton to go to a Tractor Supply, and if you have to shop in Statesboro go anywhere else that sells the same kind of thing as what you are looking for.
