I have always had stellar service and this misunderstanding was an anomaly. Going forward, I will give the scheduler the benefit of the doubt and maintain an open line of communication to circumvent this recurring. Dr. Sandid's bedside manner and patient care is among the best I have ever experienced to include the Bethesda Naval Medical Center (where the President, Senators and Congressmen go) and the University of Kansas Medical Center that were previously my primary care medical facilities.

There is burnout because the floor nurses do the same thing every day and they are caught off guard when a critical status appears. A particular nurse was mentally abusive, dismissive and falsified records to cover up. Communication will not move up to the decision makers. When matters are brought up to management they will be dismissive but tell you they care. The culture is not safe because they do not make the changes needed to ensure safety on the floor. I do not trust the hospital floor situation because of a lack of ethics and professionalism.

I went to the ER the morning of 11/20/2020 because I fell on my arm on 11/19/2020....to find out…read morethat I broke my elbow.....I was told to follow up with a certain orthopedic doctor by the ER doctor.......I called the ortho doc on 11/23/2020.....I was told that they don"t except my insurance....... So I called my insurance company so that they could tell me which orthopedic doc accepts my insurance.......The nice lady that I spoke with found an ortho doc for me but I needed a referral from my doctor......So she called 11/23/2020 (before noon) GraceMed Good Samaritan Clinic (the clinic that my husband, children, and I have gone to for the last few years) to have them call in a referral to the ortho doc that accepts my insurance........mind you my doc is out of the office until sometime in December and has been out of the office since September or October......my doc has not responded yet.....which I have no problem with.......she has her LIFE OUTSIDE OF BEING A DOCTOR!!!!!!!!!! BUT there is another doctor there that CAN CALL IN THE REFERRAL for me...........CATCH 22!!!!!!! I FIND OUT TODAY 11/24/2020 I have to make an appointment to see him IN ORDER FOR HIM /HER TO GIVE ME A REFERRAL........I HAVE BEEN TO MANY CLINICS AND DOCTORS OFFICES IN MY 42 YEARS OF LIFE.......I have NEVER needed to see another doctor at the same office if my doctor was out to get a referral for something like this.......I AM TRULY PISSED OFF!!!!!!! I was advised by my insurance company to fail a complaint with them and find a different doctor.......Don't get me wrong I LOVE MY DOCTOR (Dr. B) she is the BOMB!!!!!! I AM DONE WITH THIS PLACE!!!!!!
