They really could use more signage outside to direct visitors to what part of the building you are entering. Lots of steep steps, although there is a handicap ramp of course, as required by law. It's located right across the street from Town Lake Recreational Area, which is a nice bonus, that it's in a beautiful setting. The restrooms are adequate and well located in the spacious lobby. Overall, a great venue for hosting the event we attended.

If you're in a core class, don't expect anything good. If you're in an AP class, don't expect to learn anything or get curves. If you just want to get by, the staff somehow want you to just have the worst experience you can: - in 2023-2024 year, they added individual passes that teachers had to write instead of a class pass and required backpacks to be next to the walls instead of by your seats. - in 2024-2025 year, they added a shape detector at the main entrance. This caused a backed up line every morning with people cutting it and struggling to remove their computers and other things. (P.S: if you think it's a good idea to have a shape detector in a high school, you're beyond ignorant). - in 2025-2026, a bunch of teachers were laid off, start time changed from 7:30 to 7:20 AM (but day still ended at 2:40), nosy hall monitors, and overall strict staff. There's some decency though: the school looks nice in terms of architecture, some great teachers, and decent clubs and sports. It's just sad otherwise that this school has gotten worse over time. And Dr. Kent, please retire as a principal. Stop treating high schoolers like kindergarteners.

The kids I have worked with are wonderful and always so respectful. The school seems to be kept in good condition. Parking can be difficult in the back lot by the gym if you're there when school lets out. The traffic flow isn't designed well. Overall a nice school!

Although I only attended here for 1 and a half years (junior-senior year) I will say this school is great. This is a new school and Frisco does a great job of keeping their class sizes small and keeping their schools at 4-5a. This is to give every student a great opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities. Also because Frisco is booming there's obviously an influx of schools, if you haven't noticed. Because of this they're in high demand for educators. So some of the teachers are on the younger side but there's also some veterans paving the way. When it comes to test scores and education Heritage is not only in the top rankings for the DFW but the whole state of Texas. So parents your students are in good hands! I feel like the teachers do a great job at college preparation but like I said I only attended here for a short amount of time so most of my knowledge was already instilled. Heritage operates on an A-B schedule (where you don't go to every class everyday but interchange every other day) this is so great to get used to how college schedules will be like! One negative thing that I experienced here was participating in softball. I pretty much loved everything about it except for the fact that my coach broke state rules with the amount of hours practicing. We'd practice twice a day totaling at least 4 hours a day. During season it was very straining with homework and maintaining a normal life. She received multiple warnings but never changed. There's also a required study hall that coaches have to do maybe once a week or at least once a month. We never did that. She is no long there but just make sure when your students are participating in sports that education takes priority! Other positives: clean school, clean bathrooms, personable staff Other negatives: sheltering/coddling students (not conducive for college), dress coding is over the top and borderline pervy, insistent that the mascot is called KY-OATS (coyotes) no let's speak proper English it's KY-O-TEES.

Unfortunately, she was recently asked to not return within 2 months of her LP or "high school" graduation, with no notice, because she challenged the owners and the failings of their educational program. She has been increasingly worried about the progress of the other learners and that the guides were not given the resources or authority to even provide a safe environment (kids throwing scissors!) much less a stable platform for education. Guides at this location do not understand what boundaries or limits they are allowed to set for the learners, as the partner owners of the school have vastly different views on how the school should be run. Future candidates beware. The sales pitch is solid, and I still believe in the Acton philosophy- but this location is dysfunctional.
