I had a KitchenAid hand mixer & I also had a KitchenAid Artisan Mixer that I wanted to exchange for the smaller one. Both items purchased with receipts. One was for Kroger, the other for Kohls. Went to Kroger because I know customer service closes at 8. Well, stopped in, grabbed my receipt and grabbed the Artisan mixer. Went in, stood in line for ever because the rep was just so slow i wanted to stick her back on the shelve with the molasses syrup. Anywho, finally my turn! Told the rep I wanted to exchange the mixer, she then stated that it was just way to expensive to return(mind you, this item was not on the receipt because i brought the wrong item in). Well she said she had to get approval, went to the boss. Well, this manager of theirs comes up to me and tells me very rudely, loud, and very unprofessional that I stole the mixer from their store?!?!?! He keeps my mixer, threatens me he's calling the cops and refuses to show me any kind of video or proof of these false accusations. Insulted the hell out of me to where I needed to take my anxiety meds cause I didn't know what to do, I've never have ever stole something from anywhere! Much less a big ass box with security wraps all over it!! I then snapped realizing I had the wrong item!! I told him I had the receipt for it in my car and he refused to let me get it and refused to give me water or anything before I passed out un the store. He told me that it rang up in their system and that kohls does not sale what they have? The description he rang it up for was no where on my Kroger receipt because obviously it was not purchased there, it was purchased at kohls and had receipt. He told me I needed to dispute it with the police and he kept my Artisan Mixer basically he stole $550 from me!!! I meant to bring in the hand mixer which was 139.99. Honest self mistake. Now, what the fuck is wrong with this? I can't get my mixer back and I now am terrified to have any kind of charge or anything to do with the police. I literally drove myself to the hospital cause I felt like I could not breathe from this horrible situation simply for this Mr. Kibbles manger profiling me to be a person who steals. I take 13 pills a day, forgive me if i accidentally grabbed the wrong product to label me as a thief. For a Kroger manager to do this in a private property location with refusing to show me any king of proof refusing me to show him my proof and keep me hostage to not even take my meds is sad. I spend a lot of money in Kroger for years, family and all. For Kroger to allow this to happen is just screwed up. He stole from me, insulted me and almost caused me a seizer in the store for what he did. I didn't even know this can happen at any retailer. I have my receipts. SO I'm stuck, I can't get my mixer back, i prob won't get another good bonus for work to buy my mom another one for Christmas & I don't ever see myself going back to any Kroger with the chance of everyone looking at me like I'm going to steal a big ass box with black wires wrapped around it with no way to remove them, out of the store. Traumatized. Any advice on what to do? Can I press charges on this guy for stealing my mixer and inducing panic also for holding me hostage and threatening me. Should I talk to my lawyer? BBB? Idk this is new to me and never been in this position. The manager scared me and I feel endangered by how aggressive and mad he was insulting me that I stole the mixer I bought from "his store". He told me not to ever go back or he will find me. I don't know what to do!!

I told her that if she purchased the cheddar brats that she would end up dreaming about them after they were gone. She called me a few days later after preparing them to tell me that I was right. The meat is affordable, the work area is extremely clean and they such a great variety of fresh meat. It feels like you're rewinding 30 years and going back to an old school deli. I have tried the hamburger mixed with bacon and cheddar, the cheddar brats and the ham salad. Whoa that ham salad it's not your cheap typical processed ham salad. From the freezer case I have also purchased the prepared lasagna they make in small individual servings that you can just pop in the oven yourself and it was great. There's such a cool variety of breaded mushrooms, hot wings and stuffed chicken breasts in the frozen section and things that you could take home for special occasions, parties or just when you want some special items that you typically won't find in a "normal" grocery store in bulk quantity. They also have freezer packs for set pricing where you can go in and buy a certain number of steaks, pork chops, pounds of fresh sausage or pounds of hamburger altogether in a package brown sack that you can just take home and stick in your freezer. I've also started purchasing gift cards here for family members and they always called to tell me thanks at least more than once because it's such a special experience.

*Grocery only review*…read more I shop here twice a week or more since I live five minutes away and I prefer smaller, more frequent grocery orders vs the filled up shopping cart. The grocery is quite good. There is a full service deli counter that's always manned. They prepare the cooked chicken and other takeaway hot food here, and are always available to slice your cold cuts to order. A very respetable charcuterie section too. Very good selection of organic vegetables and meats, and many certified non-GMO items. They are bringing in more of the "Better Goods" product line which includes quality frozen foods and jarred fruit, with ingredient lists that DON'T read like a chemistry textbook. I recently found they now offer a cream cheese without any "gum" additives...made of milk, cream, cheese culture and salt. Imagine that. Employees are around to help you find things. The self-checkout, which is my preference, works well and rarely gets hung up. They often open only half of them, sadly, due to not having enough eyes available to watch for thieves. For some deep-seated psychological reason I never do the Yelp check in here, but trust me I've gotta be the Duchess 10 times over. This is a good grocery store and I recommend you give it a try.

I may move to Fountain City, just to be closer. Fountain City is run by local Amish. They produce and sell just about everything including furniture, dry goods, cheese and other dairy products. The shop is immense and immaculate. The shelves are filled with colorful candy, locally produced grains and flour, pasta galore, and more. At one end of the store is a bakery selling fresh donuts, pies and fry cakes. At the other end is a deli, making fresh sandwiches to order. The sandwiches are amazing. I had a turkey and ham sandwich on rye. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese and fresh toppings. This was the best sandwich that I have had in a long time and it was $3.99. There is no place to eat inside, so you must take your food to go. The staff were friendly and efficient. The cheeses are amazing and flavorful. I picked up horseradish and bacon cheeses. The prices are reasonable. You can even buy chicken coups and outbuildings. There was an extensive collection of bird food and custom feeders. There is plenty of mid week parking, but probably crowded on weekends. Bring a cooler. This shop is fabulous.
