Christi definitely discriminates with people of color. Although I am Caucasian, I was appalled at the way she talked about minorities. She made derogatory comments in our very first meeting even though she did not know me, and it is scary to think how she discriminates around people she knows if she is that bad in front of someone she does not know. I retained Christie for help with my divorce and I highly recommend her to anybody going through divorce - especially if your divorce is a contentious one. My divorce was very acrimonious (unfortunately). My ex-wife leveled fictitious accusations at me, and using the law to her advantage (baseless restraining order issued without an iota of supporting evidence) seized control over my property - home, firearms, dogs, etc. From my experience it appeared that the authorities, as well as the law, were by design more favorable to the woman. Fortunately, I had an excellent attorney in Christie. She helped me navigate family law as well as resolve my divorce in an efficient and quick fashion, clearing my name of erroneous accusations as well as settling on a fair agreement with my ex. Stay away. As another reviewer's case, she also put us in a terrible situation, firing us as clients within 2 days of our case being dismissed. She conducted herself unprofessionally during the entire time and was biased against me. I truly believe the reviewer that stated that she is biased against persons of color. Even the other party in my case noticed and agreed. We should have fired her months ago. Documents were filed before the court with multiple errors (names, email addresses, mailing addresses, typos, incorrect judge!!), putting us at risk of dismissal when we were not receiving court notices due to her sloppiness. Email exchanges would have constant errors as well, calling for additional exchanges and therefore, more billable time. She would call for unnecessary meetings, not having notes on our case and ask the same questions during each meeting delaying our case. The cherry on top was when she yelled at me during a meeting, fired us, and hung up in a very unprofessional and childish fashion. She was on the low-end of hourly-fee but would nickel and dime every bit of the process. Be careful. She should have her license removed. read more

Cristi and her staff mediated my divorce and also created new living trust documents for both my ex and myself. Ours was not an uncomplicated divorce as we had a child and a business together and were married for about 15 years. She and her staff made this somewhat unpleasant process very easy, uncomplicated, and fast while charging a very reasonable fee for these services. While we had her retained, she was very flexible to arrange for sessions (both my ex and I had pretty crazy schedules) and even after everything was done, she remained available for follow-up questions whenever needed. I have two recommendations: 1) If you are getting divorced, get a mediator. It's much less painful, faster, way cheaper, and a lot less ugly. The more complex the issue, the more important I think it is to mediate, unless you want the divorce to take years, you want to end up hating your ex, and you want to spend most of your estate on lawyers. 2) Get Christi! read more

Just 15 minutes into our initial consultation, Cristi hustled us to sign a $1,500 retainer. She then skipped the next meeting and when we finally met after an addition reschedule, she showed up meeting without her case notes so we had to start over. She literately acted like she wasn't aware of anything about case. To make matters worse, she spent much of the session talking about her own divorce and making suggestions based on her own experience rather than what was best for us. At one point, she turned to me and snapped "so what are you demanding know?" Given the unprofessional nature of her relationship with us, my wife and I decided to cut our loses and leave her practice.
