I feel they are possibly the worst firm I have ever dealt with. All of the members I dealt with seemed overwhelmed with possibly taking on too many clients... which made them (in my opinion) simply fall into a reactive state and not proactively attempt to help my case! It felt like they didn't want to create a strategy, had no concern, no movement forward... NOTHING! My primary lawyer actually called my (twice) on the morning of emergency hearings to strategize the hearing. Literally minutes before entering the court... they felt that was the best time to rush you through trying to have a solid understanding of your position. I FELT THEY NEVER PREPARED FOR ONE HEARING!!!! I paid them $40,000 dollars to settle only one aspect of a divorce. They spent a year depleting the retainer... simply reacting to the other lawyer's action. Not once did they set up a meeting to discuss the potential offer or what my goals were. They rarely responded to or addressed my emails or return my calls. Pathetic. They seem to be way more concerned with accumulating hours... possibly in an attempt to make partner? The hours they accumulated didn't seem to help move my case closer to settlement. I feel they are not a divorce firm to use... and I'm sure you could throw a rock into a bunch of lawyers and find someone more concerned and able to help your case. $40,000 later... they dropped me because I was 4 days late on paying a $2,000 invoice. That's right... 4 days! Keep in mind that visitation was already resolved before approaching this firm. They only needed to provide my soon to be Ex with an offer for alimony and child support. After a year of depleting the retainer... they never once put together even one offer to my Ex. Not one! Less than one year of them doing NOTHING and incurring $40,000... for just my side of this divorce. I feel they have ZERO compassion for their clients and have no sympathy for what married couples are going through in the difficult process of Divorce. Not sure why... but, it felt like THEY WOULDN'T RESPOND TO EMAILS OR CALL ME BACK... EVER I'd say to Skip this firm... at all costs! I feel they are simply one of the worst on the planet... Find anyone else! I believe you could represent yourself and get further along then simply giving them hours as they all work towards partnership. I think they are a pathetic bunch of losers... and they do not deserve to represent anyone! Too bad the court system couldn't find a way to weed out the pathetic lawyers (and firms) and put them out of business. I feel these guys give the 1% of good lawyers a bad name... PS - I'm assuming that any of the positive reviews for this firm are made up or provided by a family member of the firm's employees. PPS - Today I appeared in court to hear their motion to be removed from the case... and my lawyer actually pulled me into the hallway, referenced this review, and threatened to take me to court for defamation of character if I didn't remove. From the outset, I explained that I had already exhausted the dispute process with the credit bureaus and was seeking legal representation because those disputes had failed to resolve the remaining issues. Over several weeks the firm requested extensive documentation, including credit reports, payment records, dispute history, and documentation from Regional Acceptance Corporation. I spent considerable time gathering everything they requested, signed their credit authorization so they could obtain my reports directly, completed their intake paperwork, and even obtained additional documentation directly from Regional Acceptance after several attempts. Despite all of that, I was ultimately directed back to the very same dispute process that I had already explained had been exhausted before I ever contacted the firm. Rather than identifying what additional evidence they believed was necessary or providing a clear decision regarding representation, I continued receiving requests that either repeated information I had already provided or directed me to repeat steps that had already failed. What made the experience particularly frustrating was the amount of time invested without receiving a straightforward answer. If the firm did not wish to pursue the matter, I would have respected a direct decision. Instead, I was left spending weeks gathering records, signing authorizations, completing intake documents, and responding to requests, only to end up exactly where I started as they clearly couldn't understand what was being presented to them.
