During the photo shoot, he was diligent about making sure everything looked good (like a stray piece of hair, or a wrinkle in my shirt). We recently had a Better Properties broker (Joel Martin) show our home to potential clients…read more Although we were only given about 20-30 minutes notice (on Easter Sunday, no less) we were able to accommodate the showing - the house is always kept in "show-ready" condition. Upon coming home, we found every interior door to have been left open - i.e. Closets and cupboards as well as some drawers. Also, several items on shelves had been disturbed. The main floor toilet had also been used and not flushed. At this time, we are unsure if anything was taken from the home, but will be looking into it. We realize that the broker, himself, is probably not to blame, directly. However, we also feel that a good broker would not have allowed these things to happen, or at the very least, would have ensured they were corrected prior to leaving our home. We are hoping that our property is not suitable for Mr. Martin's clients because, based on the initial experience, we would really prefer to work with a different broker. Sad, but true.
