Julia is both an incredible photographer as well as a joy to work with. As interior designers, we love a photoshoot but are far less comfortable being photographed ourselves. Julia's compositions are inspiring, her knowledge of where to shoot, and her understanding of our insecurities all put us at ease. She was fun and positive and never hesitated to switch things up to keep us happy. It's especially difficult to shoot two (very picky) clients together for an industry that demands perfection. We have never left a headshot shoot truly happy with any of the photos, but on this shoot we had a hard time narrowing it down since we loved so many. We've previously had photographers ignore our wishes and have us hike all over to get their shot (ignoring our goals, ruining our quaffed looks, lol). Julia had the perfect location and advice on how to keep us comfortable and to get the shot/s. We are a high end design form so the shots needed to be beautiful, professional and very elegant. Where do I even begin? In short, Julia is amazingly talented. After searching high and low for a photographer for our company photoshoot, we were referred to Julia. She was kind of enough to fly down to Orange County just for the shoot. Our previous photographers would just point, shoot and call it a day after 25 mins. Not Julia. She came in early to make sure the lighting was set perfectly and did several test runs. She took the time to help us stage the set (her ability to be creative on the spot saved the day), told us how to pose and took multiple shots and angles to ensure the perfect shot. Julia's sweet and warm personality made the environment comfortable, relaxing and fun, which isn't easy given the number of people in the shoot. Did I mention her mad photoshopping skills? Julia was able to fix lighting, clean blemishes and even swap heads so that everyone was happy with the group shot. We couldnt be happier with the end results. I am a fashion designer from SanFrancisco in constant need of good professional photos of my designs. I met Julia awhile ago and decided to give her a shot at taking photos for me. I am a bit of a tough cookie when it comes to presenting my dresses in certain way. I tried a several other photographers before her and didn't quite like their work nor their attitude. Then came Julia :). She was able to read all my ideas and suggestions and follow them clearly. She did an outstanding job every single time not only with fashion photos but also some personal ones as well. With me being one of the worst people in front of the camera she totally managed to make me feel and look good and comfortable all the way. I always wanted to have a good picture with a straight face on without looking mad (which no one could pull off before) and she did it from just a few shots.
