I also bought a bushel of green bell peppers to put up. Excellent value. They typically have a variety of vegetables and you can pick your own veggies depending on what's ready. Think tomatoes or pumpkins! They carry baked goods like fruit pie and quick bread. They're open from May to October. I would reccomend you call before you make the drive to confirm hours and what kinds of things are available that day. Their website is also quite helpful. I was able to sample their apple cider and it was very good. I meant to purchase a gallon of that as well but forgot. It was tasty and flavorful without being too sweet. We made pumpkin seeds from the pumpkins last night and they were very good. Even though the pumpkins weren't that large, they had lots of seeds! We also had some apples and they were crisp and juicy. I made the pie as well. The gentleman told us that the pie came cooked and ready to eat, but the crust was a little white for us and we prefer warm pie anyway, so I put it in the oven for about 20 minutes and served it up. The pie and the crust were both good and I definitely would have given browns five stars, had I not literally almost choked on a piece of plastic in my pie. (See photo) It got caught in the back of my throat and I had to pull it out with my finger. I was unable to finish my piece because of that experience, but no one else had any issue and everyone enjoyed the pie. I understand accidents happen but it was unfortunate. I would still return for for fruits and vegetables and maybe to get that cider I forgot, but I probably wouldn't buy another pie from them.
