My brother-in- law was visiting us for the holiday and was having some urinary symptoms like frequency, burning and discoloration. As a RN, I suggested that he go to an urgent care. Once there he requested to be seen by a physician. He was never told that there wasn't one on duty, and the staff insisted that he would be seen by one. Instead he was seen by NP who was rude and very short with her comments. Several times he had asked when the doctor will see him and his request was blown off. After a urinalysis was done, he was advised to go to the hospital because the NP would not write or was not comfortable writing a prescription for antibiotics. He had to pay upfront $180.00 thinking he would be seen by a physician. The staff did not provide clear communication about why a physician was unavailable and he left feeling frustrated and underserved. I hope the clinic can improve its patient experience and ensure that commitments to see a doctor are honored. Also the clinic should have a conversation with that rude NP. I will never recommend that place to a family member or friend ever again! read more

Came here as we are out of state. My daughter had a bag cough. When you first walk in you basically need to check in on your phone and do your own registration on your own by scanning a QR CODE. I was upset because by the time I got mine done, the other guy that came in after me was done and got called first. Waiting time is way too long for a facility which has the name of an URGENT care. I came with cough, but nobody ever asked me if I smoke or if I had any behavior that could be a reason of my coughing. I think the number of questions were very limited for a proper diagnostic. The doctor was nice though and other employee mentioned how busy they are, so I assumed they are under staffed. read more

I had a blood test and the clinic mislabeled the the specimen so I had to go back and pay for another test.

Came here to get staples in my head. I made sure that my staples would be able to be taken out at no additional cost. When I came back they tried to charge me to remove the staples they put in my head. The time before I came for a kidney stone and they don't even have imaging here, so they sent me to a hospital. Had one of the friendly staff call the supervisor Vicky and she tried to charge me also. Poor business ethics. I told them I am going to go home and do it myself. I went this past Monday for something that was bothering me. They took swab samples they needed to send to the lab. All the discharge paperwork showed the correct information, including the type of test that needed to be done with the swab. I was called yesterday Tuesday regarding the "results" but I missed the call around noon. I called them around 2pm, they told me they would call me back. By 6pm nobody called me and I called again and they promised me the doctor will call me before the end of business day but nobody did. Today Wednesday I call around 11:45am and finally get an answer. Looks like while they did the swab, they sent the wrong orders for the kind of tests they needed to be done! So not only they lied on the discharge papers but now I have to go back in today to get a new swab and restart the clock on waiting for the results. I have never experienced anything like this anywhere. Very unprofessional, not even an apology was offered. Go somewhere else read more

Absolutely don't go to this place unless you want to be overcharged. Went for flu. Spent over 2hr waiting with minimal people in waiting room. Saw Dr. Who barely spoke English. He spent a total of 3minutes and did the most useless examine in less than 1minute. He walked out and few minutes gave rx. The total for a 3minute visit was $780. Total SCAM and over charge. I came in Last Monday because I injured my rib. I came in to get an x-ray and was seen by Dr Angel Lamas Mendel. We proceeded with the x-ray and at the end of the visit he told me that he will be giving me a referral to do an ultrasound for my pancreas and that the Radiologist Call me and let me know what is going on with my ribs. Mind you I am aware that there's not much you can do with the broken rib since it is internal. I just wanted to make sure that I didn't damage in Organ. A week Passes and I did not get a call from the radiologist or from the person he said would call me to schedule the ultrasound. I called in today to let them know I am still in pain and it is very irresponsible of them to not get back to me with any results or answers. The rep I spoke with told me that the tech who performs the X-rays will give me a call shortly. When the tech, Eric Walker, called me, and I began to express my feelings, he kept cutting me off and said If you're in pain go get an MRI. I said to him. " Do you wanna listen to what I have to say as I am the patient and I am the one with the concern who needs an answer or do you want to continue talking over me ?" That is when he started listening for exactly one minute and said nothing can be done about it and that if I want I can pick up my report today from the location. He then again said to me go get an MRI if you're still in pain or take pills that are stronger. I said to him "that's what you recommend me to do ? Go get a MRI? He said "yes". Mind you he is not a doctor and that's illegal. Highly recommend the board to do their due diligence on who their staff members are as I don't feel safe ever coming here again in case of emergency. read more

We waited in the lobby for one hour, the nurse said his temperature was normal, no fever and made us wait for doctor for another hour. He was so sick and hot. I was so furious after waiting, called the doctor to check his temperature again, it was 104! I really like how efficiently and safe MD Now runs its covid testing but they haven't been upfront about billing, or they're doing it wrong. I was told over the phone my insurance would cover my visit for a covid test and then I was billed under an "office visit" code that my insurance didn't cover. My insurance says MD Now is billing under the wrong code and MD Now says they're billing under the right code. Either MD Now is billing me under a different code by mistake (or to capture more revenue) or they lied when they told me my visit for a covid test would be covered. I need to take a covid test once a month due to my work and the travel I have to take, and that's stressful enough without having to figure out why I'm getting billed for something all parties involved keep telling me is supposed to be free. For anyone considering a place to get a covid test I'd recommend you look elsewhere if you can while MD Now sorts out how they're supposed to bill their patients. Billing aside, this MD Now clinic is extremely fast to get in and out of, sometimes they're not great about keeping appointments (I've had someone go on lunch right before my scheduled appointment) but given the stress and volume of patients our medical workers have and have to serve its hard to complain too much about a lunch break that cuts into your appointment. read more

I went in for possible yeast infection and they swabbed me and did a UA and I paid my $50 co-pay which is standard with my insurance has been for years. A few days go by I still haven't heard anything on lab results so I called them and they say oh your labs are negative. I said, can you send me a copy of my labs sure we have your email. Never did I get anything from them meanwhile, I'm still having symptoms so I have to go over the counter, fix it myself and schedule an appointment with my doctor. I have turned all of this information into my insurance company because of their lack of healthcare and on top of that they billed me extra for their lab of $43. Never use them. read more

And all I Can said about the staff in the front Desk including the Medical Assistant, they don't have any kind of Compation for human beings, I took my Neighbor with Asthma Attack and they make him wait too long, they even have empty room, and they call every body in the waiting room at the same time, knowing He was in a very bad shape coughing and with a very bad short of breath. Waiting there for 1.5hrs and then left to get a prescription for my stye eye. They gave me a ear medicine drop. I'm lucky I didn't put it in my eye and possibly go blind! Called them 15minutes before closing to get my pre option resent to Walgreens. After MD Now Urgent Care's mistake they left 5minutes early and didn't send the correct prescription. I need to have stitches removed. Checked the website and the hours are 8am-4pm everyday. Went at 8:45am this morning. "Open" light flashing in the window. Not open, doors locked, sign on the door says open 8-4 everyday. If you are closed turn off the open light for starters and update the sign on the door and website. Not difficult to do. As a healthcare professional, you would think someone has more bed side manners to know what to say and what not to say. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We were visiting the Hollywood area over Thanksgiving when my sister had an allergic reaction to fish. The hotel recommend this place and I am glad they did. Due to the possible severity of the situation the nurse took us back right away and the doctor came in right away to check vitals to assess the situation. Luckily it was not as bad as it could have been. Everyone from the receptionist, the nurse, the doctor was amazing. They were funny, nice, personable, informative, and helpful in a very stressful situation. The doctor took as much time with us as we wanted and answered all of the questions that we had. The place was clean and has its own parking lot. There is also a 24 hour Walgreens Pharmacy right around the corner as well if you need a prescription filled. While I hope we will never need an urgent care while on vacation again, if we did I would go here. read more

I went in after having my period for 2 weeks instead of my usual 5 days. I was bleeding heavily and it was very abnormal. I was also feeling dizzy and very weak probably due to the loss of blood, my eyesight was also coming and going. I told all my symptoms to the nurse and she relayed it to the doctor (A skinny blond lady). She had a very bad attitude and told me I shouldn't be there and should see an ophthalmologist! I told her that doesn't explain the dizziness, weakness and heavy prolonged period. She said she could give me a B12 shot and again that I needed to see an ophthalmologist! What a waste of time and money. I only gave 2 stars because the ladies at the front desk and the nurse was nice. read more

Went initially for a sprained wrist which was covered by workers comp. They kept milking the amount of appointments it covered. Kept scheduling appointments to see the doctor to get my mmi only to say that there was a scheduling error and the doctor wouldn't be there. They told me that two times despite me asking before making my last appointment if there was going to be a doctor there to see me and they assured me there would be. I would give zero stars if I could. Stay away from this place they are complete clueless!! I went in telling them I think I have strep throat. They did a strep rapid test in the office and it came out positive. I told them SPECIFICALLY I was very allergic to penicillin (form of antibiotic). I have not been sick in over 15 years so the doctor asked if I was allergic to amoxicillin (same family as penicillin) and I said I don't think so (I confused this with tetracycline which is safe for me) now I'm no doctor and I rarely take antibiotics, so common sense says to me if the patient is unsure why on gods green earth would you prescribe when there is a myriad of other non penicillin antibiotics readily available ? So guess what? She sent me home with amoxicillin. I just happened to start googling to find that it's the same as penicillin!!! Can you imagine ??? Mal practice ! So I called and they gave me another medicine Azithromycin. I took it for 5 days and my condition got worse so I went back and this time they suggested a cortisone injection to help with the swelling of my glands, I thought it was very odd so I declined it. Especially since antibiotics are supposed to start working in 2 days. So then I went back a third time and they give me clindamycin. But by this point my glands were so swollen I said the previous doctor suggested cortisone maybe I will take it this time bc I'm in a lot of pain. Guess what the doctor said, he said no way I would never recommend that. Can you imagine ? Two doctors with completely different contradicting opinions. This doctor then proceeeds to tell me I may need my tonsils removed. Again this is very odd I said bc this is typically recommended for people with reoccurring strep throat, I said I haven't had a sore throat even in over 15 years. Point being they are completely clueless and could care less. Make sure you go with your own knowledge so they don't poison you or suggest unnecessary surgery. Stay away !
