If you'd like!" instead of them thinking to offer it to me). My results were negative and the doctor sort of shrugged, so I (again) had to ask if there was some type of medication I could take. She gave me some amoxicillin and sent me home. The next two days progressed into the worst respiratory infection I've ever had, which I'm still dealing with a month later. The real kicker is that I had an $82 dollar charge on my credit card from them after paying my copay (without any warning or consent) which I had to call to find out about. It turned out to be a "doctor finding fee." What an ironic, ridiculous waste of money! Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

The intake person was nice, but she appeared to have little or no medical experience and below average literacy skills. She couldn't read nor pronounce the medication list. With one medication, she just gave up, and couldn't read it at all. The medication list is important to confirm, in order to avoid drug interaction. This was a clear failure. If I had to do it again, I would confirm the medication list with the nurse practitioner before proceeding.

Because of this discrepancy, I'm left wondering if AHCC has an error with their lab results and I really hope it's not intentional. She was further trying to tell me that I should be getting a bill for over $200, because of some deductible nonsense. That is absolutely incorrect, because we only have a co-pay. I elected to walk out before I said something very not nice. My wife also happened to be there, and tried to discuss the situation with the woman. When asked for any information, they declined to even provide the doctor's name that had seen her the day previously, even though her name is all over my daughter's medical record (and insurance). I called ahead & asked if they did X-rays for babies, they said yes. My 19mo old & I waited 55 mins to be seen, which I understand. Stacey called us back, took my sons vitals & was very short & passive when doing so. Insinuated that my concerns weren't valid & even asked my 1.5year old "why are you so feisty?" When he cried/pulled away from the vitals machine. After waiting another 40 mins to see the doctor, Stacey calls us to the xray room. My son was very tired/ fussy at this point & I made it known that I would need help getting him to sit still for a leg xray. Word for word she tells me "I have no control over him being cooperative". I proceeded to try to get him to sit & he was just not having it. Stacey sat back & watched me struggle, never offered to help or distract him. She finally SCOFFS at me & tells me "this isn't going to work". She goes on to tell me that my son will need to go to ER to be SEDATED for an xray of his damn leg. I am an ICU nurse & I know that sedation is NOT the only option for children and scans. I cannot believe the care at this office. Dr Patricia Lewis showed no empathy or understanding for the situation either. I put my son through 2 hours of waiting & frustration to be told they can't help me. We have been to this facility on a number of occasions, both for my wife and just yesterday, for…read moremyself. I was able to reserve a spot online, just 90 minutes in advance. When I arrived, after a quick check-in at the front desk, I was taken back to a treatment room and my wound was assessed. I spoke to the doctor within a few minutes and he outlined what he planned to do. I had a deep wound in my leg that required stitches. They did a quick x-ray just to make sure my leg wasn't broken and also gave me a tetanus shot, as I can't recall the last time I had one as an adult. The doctor was very clear about what to expect pain-wise and he took excellent care to make sure I was fully numbed. The stitches went in without too much fuss and I was sent home with plenty of supplies to ensure I could care for the wound until my follow-up, which was requested after 48 hours. I was able to easily schedule that follow-up appointment online. My antibiotic prescription was sent to the pharmacy of my choice and I received an automated follow-up to confirm it was sent, as well as when it was ready to be picked up. For all of that treatment, my co-pay (collected up-front) was $85. My appointment was at 6:45pm and I was out of there by about 8:15. Compared to going to an ER, this was a breeze and much more cost-effective. I will say that the front desk reception was a little cold, but the care staff was friendly and efficient. I'm glad to have such a facility so close to home. There are a number of urgent cares in the immediate area and so far, this is my favorite.
