History

Established in 2014.

I have been painting since the early 1990s either from being employed as such or doing it along with other careers. I sold my home in Colorado to come back to where I was raised to help my parents on the property as they were getting older and could use some help with things. However, that does not pay the "bills". I wanted to continue doing something I get joy from, Painting and helping others are two of them. So, that was the start of MDV Painting and Updating as a full time small business. My parents have since passed on. But, my business has kept me busy and I have been fortunate enough to help many people make their house home again.

Meet the Business Owner: Matt D.

I got my start in the painting business in the early 1990's and enjoyed helping people update their homes and businesses. When I moved away from Iowa I took some different paths along the way but always did some painting on the side while I managed a home textile store followed by a tile and granite store. Both stores kept me in front of people wanting to Update or make changes to their homes and businesses which gave me an opportunity to also paint for those in need. In 2014 I sold my home in Colorado to come back to help my mom and dad around the farm I grew up on as they were getting older. I knew I had to find work and decided, why not start my own painting business as I had been doing it for years and enjoy doing it and still get to help people with Updating their homes and businesses and see the joy it brings to them. Yes, almost anyone CAN paint but when you hire me your not only getting my experience but also my attention to detail. I treat every Update as if it was my own.
