This married couple is made up of a home renovator/builder with 35+ years in the business, and his wife is an incredible interior designer. I used them to do extensive repairs to my home after a leaking pipe while I was on vacation turned the entire first floor into a gut job. They worked within the budget I gave them from my insurance company, finished a week earlier than their initial estimate, and overall I found both Mike and Corinne Elrod to be trustworthy and honest.
They typically don't need to advertise because they have no trouble getting work through word of mouth referrals, which should tell you something good about the quality of their work. They tried to save me money wherever possible, and Mike was diligent in overseeing his crew of workers, including plumbers, electricians, cabinet guys, granite installers, tile cutters, hardwood floor layers, and even a structural engineer when I wanted to remove a load bearing wall. The crew had obviously worked together many times and this made the process go quickly. Oh, and did I mention that all but one of them spoke at least broken English? Not so common these days.
Corinne helped me pick out everything from the granite countertops to the kitchen cabinetry to the hardwood floors, bathroom vanities, travertine times, and glass mosaic in one of the showers. She also convinced me to go with a claw foot rub in the other bath, which I wasn't so sure about at first but now I absolutely love. Corinne has great taste and I was able to benefit from the amazing deals she gets from the companies she frequently buys from.
I seriously have no complaints, which is a first for me when it comes to home renovation companies. A year later, nothing has broken and I really appreciate the level of care they put into my home, even in details like getting the molding just right.
