Oh, all these sweet babies need homes!…read more I dropped by today to donate some needed towels and several boxes of cute gingerbread dog biscuits I found at Aldi. The young lady at the counter said to put them under the Christmas tree where I saw about a dozen different types of animal donations. Unfortunately my spouse is highly allergic to animals, but I love dogs so I just donate what I can from time to time. I asked if I could take a look at the dogs even tho we can't adopt. Not only was I told yes, but if I wanted cuddle time with any just let her know. Be still my heart! So I went back to the kennel area and the first dog greeted me with non stop barking. Well, that's a fine howdy do! Turns out all the kennels were full and this first dog was the only one making a racket. The rest were so eager and friendly with tails waging wildly and eyes that begged to be taken home. They really tugged at my heart strings and by the time I reached the last kennel my eyes were welling up. I knew cuddle time with any one of them would make me have a major eye leak so said my good byes to them and said their new homes and owners would be there soon. As I opened the door from the kennel area a young couple was making their way to it. I gave them a heads up on the loud one in the first kennel, but said the rest would be happy to see them. Fingers crossed they didn't go home without one of these sweet pups!

Justina the manager, Ms. McNeil, Ms. Angela and Franz to name a few have given my family excellent help and always with kind words. On Tuesdays they give a discount to seniors. The gentlemen staff always strives to help and anticipate what you may have questions about. The staff are nicely dressed, well versed in giving great customer service and hard working. They have a drive through drop off area behind the store to make donating so easy! Love all the stores but hwy 55 is my favorite.

Examples: 2 diamond art painting kits- their price: $4.99/go to Hobby Lobby and purchase the EXACT same kit for $3.50! Plain clear glass vases for arrangements-their price $5.99/ go to The Dollar Store and purchase the exact same vase for $1.25! Or go to At Home and purchase other bigger vases for less than the $19.99 prices they had! A framed generic picture (not art work- A PRINT) in a plastic frame $44.99!!! My lesson for the day: I will NEVER take another item to this Goodwill store and more than likely any goodwill store if this is how they want to support a community. Even if it is a couple of miles from my home and convenient! I'll go out of my way to support another charity- donating and purchasing! This was an eye opener and it really disappointed and saddened me. I truly hated to give this review but BUYER BEWARE. PS: The Goodwill store in the Brier Creek area has some better prices and IMHO better selection. And I spent money there! So much for not wasting my time. Maybe management will see this scathing review and so something about it. But I doubt it.
