I'd recommend Mead Tree to anyone in need of tree removal. I was originally quoted a very fair price to remove 4 large poplar trees overhanging my property growing on a steep slope in a densely wooded area far off the street. A very difficult job for some, but Mead Tree was able to handle it with ease. On the day of the work, they noticed a few additional trees that could pose a threat, and removed them at no extra cost. They were extremely professional throughout the whole process and did an excellent job cleaning up leaves and branches after the work was done and did no damage to my lawn. I couldn't even get a quote, I set two appointments and both were no-call, no-show. If you don't want the business, that's your prerogative but at least have the courtesy to let the customer know. read more

I first met with Dave, who came to my house to quote a job to cut down a large white oak in my back yard. He was excellent, very professional, provided me a written proposal. He told me that he would have his wife email me the insurance certificate before we agreed on doing the work. 2 days went by so I called the office. His wife answered. She must have been in a terrible mood because she was very rude. She told me that they don't send the insurance cert until the appointment is booked and agreed upon. I let her know I didn't feel comfortable with booking the appointment before I was sent the cert, as agreed upon with Dave. She said "Well Dave doesnt run the office" and "too bad, find someone else to do the work". I said, I will. She said, "oh no, too bad" (very sarcastically) and hung up. Dave was very professional and would probably have done a great job, but his wife lost the business for him with her rudeness. read more

This is all you can hope for with any kind of contractor. Dave was awesome - super helpful on the (free) consultation visit. He pointed out some flaws in my logic that were totally accurate, and gave me a quote for a better price than I was expecting. For the work, they showed up on time with a good team, and worked like machines getting the trees down. There were zero problems with the work - it was safe, they got some trees down in very tight spots, and were honestly kind of fun to watch. I wanted to keep some of the hardwood tree trunks to build things out of / burn in my fireplace, and they neatly stacked them out of the way to boot. They even handled a bunch of random extra requests I threw at them - mulching some big old bushes the previous owner had ripped out and tossed in the woods, knocking down a bunch of small trees in the way, AND putting up with poison ivy everywhere. And the clincher...they cleaned up their mess way more than we thought. My fiance was happy, which means I was happy. All in all, after talking to as many tree service companies as I could find, I feel like you'd be wasting your time looking somewhere else. read more

I had Mead do the initial work on the trees that surround my new home. it took a good six hours, but they were energetic, polite, and extremely professional the entire time. They did trimming, removal, diagnosis of issues and clean up. Very sensitive to their surroundings. Consulted me every step along the way to advise me of the alternatives. I had called this company twice before about a tree coming down in my backyard, and they never responded...luckily the tree fell down without doing any real damage...called them again because every one said they were the best, about having some trees removed....wait a couple of days , and then after I call them a second time I got a call back, made plans for them to come out the next Saturday and give estimate, get up early, to be ready for 8 AM. they never showed up. called left a message, they never bothered calling back....I emailed them, called got dave on the phone he could not believe no one showed up, said someone would be in touch, again nothing called and left him a vmail and a vmail at the office....Nothing......incredibly unprofessional, I have no idea why they won't return my calls read more

A Tree Service you can count on. I called this tree service to safely take down a Pine that I had attempted to take down myself. Very courteous and didn't gouge me even though I was prepared to pay through the nose given that it was an emergency. Based on this I have hired them to come back and remove 20 more trees.
