This review is long overdue. The staff is excellent at this facility. Dr. Moore is patient and gentle and does a very thorough job of explaining any concerns along with progress. My son takes pictures on every visit and it's been amazing watching his smile change over the years. They have strict sanitary protocols in place due to COVID-19 and require us to now complete pre-screenings beforehand, use sanitizers upon arrival, temp check and face shields for parents. Best pediatric dentist in Germantown. My son has been a patient for several years and we've had a great experience every time.

July 16th, I experienced the poorest customer service from Dr. Moore's office since my son has been a patient over the last few years. It started out great and when I tell you Dr. Moore is an exceptional dentist, he really is. However, today and during the past year of visits, his front office staff/receptionist has displayed the most abrasive, and condescending customer service ever experienced. Today my son had an appointment scheduled for a cleaning. Our insurance changed in May which the receptionist called to verify new insurance. My husband communicated that information and advised if there are any issues to please give us a call. (my husband works for a reputable company that has reputable insurance). Upon arrival today for the appointment the receptionist made it very clear in a loud tone where everyone could hear that "your" insurance has been known not to pay 100%, therefore you might owe a balance. At first, I thought ok, but then I asked a question. "When the insurance was verified, was coverage not verified as well for a cleaning and the cost the insurance will pay?" She said the profile was verified. So I asked, "is the profile and verification of insurance not the same?" She looked at me as if surely you know the answer to that. At this point I am trying to understand, because typically dentist verify amounts insurance will pay before services are rendered and advise before your appointment of any potential balance. So I said ok, I will take care of the balance no problem. Then she calls me back to the counter to advise that she needs another credit card on file because the one she has is no good. This is when the story started to baffle me because once again she was given updated information on the card and used the card to pay for extractions my son had in January. Now to explain the issue with the card; In January there was a glitch with my employer's Health Savings Account where they did not set up all accounts on time and the card was declined on January 5th. No problem I told her I would call and get it straighten out. I did called her back and took care of the balance a week or so later with the same card, no new card. Today, I tried to explain to her that there is nothing wrong with the credit card she has on file. She said again, in a loud tone that now she needs another card on file as a backup, and that nothing will be filed on it without my permission. This is the first dentist I have ever visited that required any type of card on file, either credit or debit. She asked for my debit card and I explained to her that I did not feel comfortable giving my debit card information and the current Health Savings Account card she has is valid. Now please understand that I have been dealing with this pressure for the last year or so from the receptionist. But because my son's really liked the dentist, I overlooked her very condescending and always rule changing disposition. The receptionist said, before she can file the insurance she must have a card on file. To be clear, I do not owe this dentist any balance. As a matter of fact the same card the receptionist claims is not valid is the same card they over charged me for and had to send me a refund of $100.00. Again, to me that was small and not worth the argument. So I allowed that to blow over as well. However, on today, to be meet with a loud tone and insinuations that my insurance wasn't good enough, and your card on file if bogus as well, was enough for me. I asked for two things;1) A written policy that says you must have two cards on file 2)To speak to a Manager Dr. Moore comes from the back and asks me if I had another card, not what happened. I explained to him that the card she has on file is the same card she used to pay for my son's extractions in January. He said is it, she said I would have to go back and look. The only thing they were interested in is getting a new card on file, my debit card. Dr. Moore could not produce a written policy. I explained to him how I thought the receptionist was harassing me, and quickly told me that she would never do that to anyone. He didn't want to hear anything beyond that and told me if I felt that way then maybe I should find another dentist. I quickly agreed with him and told them to have a nice day. What Doctor Moore does not understand is that this receptionist is running away his customers. Understanding that every business deserves the right to be paid for services, it seems he has had some customers that have not come through. However, you can't penalized or assume all clients are that way. Also, if this is your policy, put it in writing and share with clients on the front end. Sharing your debit card information is not poplar. Be consistent, Be Fair, and Be Honest. Don't make-up policies as you go. read more

After writing my very truthful review, Dr Moore, instead of apologizing or trying to correct the problem. ... Sent me my records and a letter saying he would no longer treat my daughter. Creepy thing is I don't have my name..must have hunted me down. Or I am thinking perhaps it was the "office manager" All very weird. I think she is in total denial. Obviously the situation bothered me enough to try do do something. I really always would rather say something nice, but this was disturbing. Check out the other filtered reviews at the bottom of the page. Seriously, take your kids to to Dr Moore. He is a great dentist. Just be prepared to deal with weirdness from the office manager, who is also his wife. And stay on your toes with their "creative" business practices. how awkward is that? Wise words: Don't hire anyone you can't fire. Don't know if this problem can be fixed. Thank you Dr Moore for helping my daughter through her fear of dentists. We loved your new location. Your manor with kids is beyond excellent. Honestly can't say enough good things about Dr. Moore as a pediatric dentist. Sorry this business cannot use tools such as social media to make your practice even greater! When bad things happen and when people get treated poorly, word is going to get around..easier to fix the problem than try to shut it up. Word gets around. And it has. read more

Dr. Moore is absolutely wonderful! My youngest child was afraid of going to the dentist until we visited Dr. Moore's office. My children now ask when they 'get' to go. He and Devin are a great duo! Regarding the office manager; though I too have seen her abrasiveness, Dr. Moore's expertise, patience, and re pore with the kids, makes it an easy decision for us to look beyond her and stick with this group! I have been going to see Dr. Moore since I was 4. So almost 2 decades now. I never understood why so many kids were afraid of the dentist. I loved going to mine. We had TVs on the ceiling and I got to pick out a piece of jewelry every time I left. He and his staff are so personable and make you feel right at home. He always inquires about my family and is genuinely interested in mine and their well being. Friendliest aside, he has done wonders for my teeth! I couldn't imagine going anywhere else which is probably why I'm 23 going to a kids dentist. Whoops. read more

My daughter has been going to Dr Moore for over 7 years, I really could truly say i was very happy with his work and kindness until a situation can up with me trying to cancel an appointment. I received a voice mail message from Dr Moore staff Mrs Owens to remind me of my child's appointment from Mrs Owens. I called back the same day(winthin 24 hours) to let them know i need to cancel but got their voice mail. I called the following morning to confirm they got my cancellation message and i was told by the receptionist they did not get my message and I could be charged a fee for not keeping my appointment. I explained to her and the staff that i left a message and feel i should not be charged a fee, instead of apologizing or trying to correct the problem, his entire staff including him and his wife(office manager) brushed me off. They treated me like i was not a valuable customer. Instead of an apology all i got was you either pay the fee or we will mail your child's records and we will part ways. Mrs Moore would not hear me out, talked over me and was extremely rude. They made me feel as if i was in the wrong. My feelings were crushed, i was really disappointment how I was treated and how this was handled. Never will I recommend this dentistry to anyone. read more

We have been going to Dr. Moore for 10 years and we love him! We think his new office is great! It is just as colorful and cheerful as his old office and I really like being able to drive right up to the door. His staff has always been welcoming, friendly and kind to our family. I am a local pediatrician.My children and I are very happy for the excellent care from Dr.Moore and for the efficient front desk. The office is a very nice and kids friendly place. My daughter is 22 and still goes twice per year during her college breaks. This office CARES for their patients. No one rushes you & parents are welcome to go back with their child. Dr Meade is SO good handling patients. My child had gone to two other offices & had been very scared of the dentist. But now when she goes to Dr Meade she loves going to the dentist. Front office staff is great about explaining copays & insure info. Definitely recommend this office. Just wish they would take Moms as patients ! read more

My daughter has been going to Dr. Moore since she was 1 1/2 and she is 12 now. She loves him and his assistant and so do I. Just the other day when we were @ his office she saw a patient that looked like a grown man. She asked Dr. Moore about him & why was a grown up in his office. Dr. Moore told her the young man wasn't ready to go to another dentist since he had been coming to him for years so he still cleans his teeth. She told me I'm going to be like that man. My two children have been patients of Dr. Moore for 11 and 6 years respectively. We have always be pleased with his treatment. My beautiful daughter never complained about her braces like so many children do. Neither of them fear or dread the dentist. Overall, I would say we have had an excellent experience.
