Everything in this office is kid-friendly, and yet manages not to be condescending. Kids wear sunglasses during exams, and get to pick a prize at the end. Moms and dads are invited to relax in one of the waiting areas, which seems to give kids confidence. Dr. Blen will work with parents on issues like tongue-thrusting, bites, orthodonture, x-rays, and will watch for spacing as teeth come in, keeping parents informed at every stage. Dr. Blen's office is involved with the community, giving back with events like Loot for the Troops; kids bring in leftover Halloween candy the day after, and receive tickets for prizes, color, have snacks, and socialize. Our American troops overseas get a taste of home, and a morale boost. It's easier for…read moreme to make a blanket statements like THIS is what visiting the dentist should be like *or* Dr. Selecman is legit the best in the business. But. I want to break down some of my favorite parts about this place to give you a more concrete overview. 1. Kindness: Professionals who help children should care MORE (not less) about their jobs because children are among our most vulnerable. Dr. Selecman is among this type of human. He caters this dentistry experience to the little children. He talks to them as humans BUT through the lens that they are still children. There is a special type of kindness laced in his approach. I cannot tell you how special it is and how much I appreciate this. 2. Family: Coming here is an experience for the whole family. They care about everybody and make an effort to keep families together while the kids are having dental work. It goes a long way! 3. Fun: There is something fun in EVERY room for the kids. Whether it's coloring or movies in the reception area; movies, video games, or legos in the waiting areas; a TV screen for a movie on the ceiling while getting your teeth cleaned; or the token at the end to redeem for a toy of your child's choosing -- these things mean a lot because they go the extra mile to make a dental experience something happy for children. It means a lot to me when the dental hygienist is calm and patient and focuses on the patient. (I appreciate it so much when hygienists, dentists, doctors, hairstylists, etc. remember this.) I know they have a job to do but my child is more than a set of teeth. They have fears and apprehensions and worries and it's very unsettling to have someone digging around in your mouth with metal tools. For the most part, we have had good experiences at Children's Dental Center -- some better than others. I also really appreciate the women at the check-out desk. I have really noticed over time that they are habitually kind!! I'm grateful for every member of the staff who goes out of their way to make sure these kids feel safe and well taken care of.

The facility has adequate space, is clean, and has lots of kid friendly activities and seating. The had a tv are (with multiple televisions), coloring tables, and a gaming area. The Dentist and staff are friendly and professional. You can tell that they take pride in their work. Her check up was quick (an hour start to finish), yet filled with great information and services. At the end of the check up they give each child a token so they can get a cool little treat. Love it!

She actually said "I do not appreciate you talking to me..." Her attitude was that of a whiny tired toddler. It was at i point I asked to speak with someone else. The belittling tantrum Dillion had thrown in front of my kids and other patients was enough. I then told Dillion's Manager we needed to leave and would not be getting any cleanings today. My daughter was in 2nd grade when we started going there. When she went to college out of town, it made it to where we would have a month's notice to give for an appointment. (She never came home during the holidays.) They NEVER had openings a month in advance. The last time I tried to schedule a cleaning appointment they did not have an opening and I had to schedule it elsewhere. It really didn't have anything to do with me personally, but I was grateful to the other dentist office that welcomed us with open arms. So now we do not go to Bartlett Dental. Oh, how I miss Mary!
