Not a bad place to spend an afternoon. There are plenty of shade trees under which you can set up a blanket or chairs, including the ample number of provided patio chairs. We didn't try their food, so I can't speak to that, but it smelled good, and just having the option is fantastic. The springboard was very fun and the line was never too long. They no longer have a slide, and the rest of the pool was fairly crowded, so the main attraction is really the board. Be sure to bring some bug spray, as there were mosquitos around. I also ended up with a beetle in my hair on 2 separate occasions. We'll be back, just to mix up our routine, but I wasn't blown away.

Came here today with some friends. Went to get lunch. Paid $22.00 for one cheese burger, water, coke and a pretzel. They sure take a lot of pride in their damn food here. Waited 1.5 HOURS to get it. The staff could have cared less. I asked for a refund and instead the lady said "oh your food is right here". She handed me cold food. Bring your own food.

There's a small slide, a diving board, and plenty of lifeguards!

. It looks like there's a lap lane on the far side as well, but no one is using it

Solid place to work out if you live near Southlands. It's beautiful on outside and pretty nice on…read morethe inside if you're using the field house, pool and basketball courts. They have a lot of weights and weights machines in the middle but they're lacking cardio equipment. They have about eight treadmills and they lean towards the jankier side. They're dated and if you want to increase or decrease your speed quickly, well you're out of luck. They just seem to have some of everything... Rower, elliptical, bikes. But you can't beat the price, if you're in Aurora resident it's crazy ridiculous and they have monthly memberships plus 10 pass deals which land you under $4 a visit. I mainly go for the weight area and equipment but they have an array of group fitness classes so maybe one day that will happen. This place is very kid heavy so if you're looking for peace and quiet, go elsewhere. Picky nit? The facility faces west and has amazing views of the front range yet they have automated blinds that go down each afternoon taking away those gorgeous views. Why don't Aurora Southeast Rec Center want us to see pretty things?

A nice little secret in Aurora! Very affordable and clean…read more The pool area is great for families and kids. There's a lazy river and whirlpool, a big slide, a splash area and mini slide, and water basketball. Only one little thing we noticed is the showers in the family rooms aren't always the warmest.

My girls had a lot of fun. It was clean and well maintained and really affordable…read more Water park/pool area was packed because it was spring break, which wasn't their fault, except that "lazy river" (super small) wasn't supervised well and had way way too many people in it. I would only recommend regulated crowds more, that's why I gave it 4 instead of 5.

Why did I pay $23 to swim in a freezing cold pool crammed full of unsupervised children?! Literally…read morethe worst experience I've had at ANY rec center (and I've been to pretty much all of them within an hour radius). I brought my daughter to swim and we stayed about 30 min. The only area where she could *actually* swim had a giant fan blowing down from the ceiling...we were both shivering within 10 minutes. The pool area looks massive, but the actual space for a kid to swim is tiny. SO much wasted space. The playground are is great for toddlers, but beyond that it's a huge disappointment. Why is there a huge fan blowing down onto the pool on a cold, rainy day?? The pool water temps were miserably cold which means the hot tubs were overrun with people who were camped out in them. We couldn't even dip a toe in the hot tub because they were 'full'. There were also crowds of completely unsupervised kids everywhere we turned. The whole 'adult supervision for kids under 10' is an absolute JOKE. After being pushed, kicked, shoved, jumped on for 30 minutes, we cut our losses and left. Will absolutely not be back.
