This pool used to be awesome. We went there during 2020 covid and it was perfect. I think they have become relaxed with all their practices. The women life guards wear bottoms where you can't even tell they are wearing bottoms. A male life guard was wearing a hat that said I hot moms. And during adult swim which felt like it had happened more often than not the life guards took the opportunity to play basketball in the pool. Call me a karen but I think there is a time and place for all of this and it isn't when it's a family pool. No life guard by the slide so kids were going on their stomachs head first. Not sure if we went on a day where there wasn't any adults in management but we won't be going to this pool again.

July '21 prices, (side note: I realize POS doesn't mean what it looks like...right? ;-) )

Went to a birthday party here and my kids absolutely loved it (7 and 3). Easy areas for both little and big kids to play.

My girls had a lot of fun. It was clean and well maintained and really affordable…read more Water park/pool area was packed because it was spring break, which wasn't their fault, except that "lazy river" (super small) wasn't supervised well and had way way too many people in it. I would only recommend regulated crowds more, that's why I gave it 4 instead of 5.

Why did I pay $23 to swim in a freezing cold pool crammed full of unsupervised children?! Literally…read morethe worst experience I've had at ANY rec center (and I've been to pretty much all of them within an hour radius). I brought my daughter to swim and we stayed about 30 min. The only area where she could *actually* swim had a giant fan blowing down from the ceiling...we were both shivering within 10 minutes. The pool area looks massive, but the actual space for a kid to swim is tiny. SO much wasted space. The playground are is great for toddlers, but beyond that it's a huge disappointment. Why is there a huge fan blowing down onto the pool on a cold, rainy day?? The pool water temps were miserably cold which means the hot tubs were overrun with people who were camped out in them. We couldn't even dip a toe in the hot tub because they were 'full'. There were also crowds of completely unsupervised kids everywhere we turned. The whole 'adult supervision for kids under 10' is an absolute JOKE. After being pushed, kicked, shoved, jumped on for 30 minutes, we cut our losses and left. Will absolutely not be back.

8 mile dirt road into the mountains...what did I get my sister and myself into? Let me tell…read moreyou...something I had never experienced before, at least not all in one place. Amazing views, kind and accommodating people and lodgings, so much riding and so much good food all for what was a ridiculously low cost. The horses were obviously well kept and enjoyed their time with us, I hope, almost as much as we enjoyed ours with them. The food was clean, healthful and almost too much for my 5ft self. Nothing goes to real waste there as they do there best to be sustainable. It is a working ranch so there is a lot going on. Before anyone goes off on the animal cruelty thing, check yourself. They care for and about all of the animals on their property, the domestic and wild ones the same. If I lose some of you on this part, so be it: there is a feeling of faith there...nothing shoved down your throat but a simple reminder to be good to this land and to each other. Check on the pricing as they have summer months and a few other options. We went just as Labor Day was ending and got everything for what I think was less than their summer prices.

Disclaimer: I married into a family that loves this place and has been coming since 50 years ago,…read moreso there has been a heavy bias and favorable context for this place in my kind even before I went. I had seen the damage the fires had done and the lack of trees on the mountains were not a turn off for me, EXCEPT when I forgot to apply sunscreen. I finally went for myself with said family and extended family and it was a blast. Food, activities, entertainment, scenery, it was all fantastic. Staff is wonderful and treat you like friends. They have lots of stuff for kids aged 3 to teens and all those kids had a blast. Made a ton of great memories. Would recommend for anyone who likes active outdoorsy vacations/retreats.

The pool has a zero entry point with some fun sensory play. The changing rooms are pretty basic (showers, bathrooms, changing area), but were clean. Overall, it is a great spot for families with little kids.

Lots of parking and nicely landscaped grounds whether you want to sunbathe on a chaise longue on the deck, or go spread your towel under a tree on the grass. Sweet little concessions stand, and very friendly staff everywhere. Cons: Two big problems with this pool. One, no "family" changing room, yet a strict rule against opposite-sex children in the bathrooms. My son is 5 now, so I can take him with me into the women's restroom to change, but once he turns 6, he'll be on his own. Boo. There are a zillion deck chaises provided, but only a few are adjustable. The vast majority only lay completely flat. Also? COLD!!! When we were there recently it was 90+ degrees outside but the water was freezing cold and my son's teeth were chattering within minutes. Even after several attempts to help him "get used to it", he was asking to go home after only an hour there. UNUSUAL for him - he normally wants to stay at the Ridge pool for hours. So.
