After pouring the driveway they did not cleaning up the street, leaving residue to dry and blow in the neighbors ' houses. They even tried to get away with not sealing the pavers even though we paid for it. MIKE IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST LIARS I've ever met. He promised us the workers would not be using the brand new bathroom but they did tracking dirt in all over our new floors. He said the sand would harden with the seal applied. Never hardened and the sand started falling through and leaving gaps in between the pavers when it. They never used a compactor to compact the sandy grout. He promised he would come back and fix that and never did. This was summer 2016. Keep away from this company! EXPENSIVE!!!!!

I asked four companies to provide estimates for my backyard project. JR Pavers was not the least expensive, but it was the most competitive and reasonable estimate given what I was requesting. The owner, Jerry, spent quality time with me to discuss my vision for the project and took great care in providing a detailed quote and included a drawing of how he perceived what my yard would look like. He was on target with the rendering and worked with me to adjust the cost to fit within my budget and my requested timeline. "Mr. Jerry" (as my grandkids referred to him) and his crew arrived promptly every day and worked throughout the day with respect for me and my dog who were home most of the time. I felt so comfortable with this crew that I had no qualms about leaving them to work as I left to fulfill some personal responsibilities throughout the week. JR Pavers completed my backyard project on budget, on time (2 days early, in fact), and with a level of quality and service that far exceeded my expectations! He is great to work with -- collaborative, professional, responsive, and flat out a really nice guy. This was a huge project with many twists and turns along the way -- months of heavy rain, giant tree roots in unexpected places, faulty irrigation valves, on and on. Henry always persevered and figured out a way through. When we made changes I never felt nickel and dimed. And it truly felt like he had our best interests in mind. What a massive change of pace from other contractors who seem to be primarily concerned with closing out a project (despite open issues) so they can move on to other things. The end result of the project is beautiful. The pricing seemed very fair, especially compared to other companies around the area. Overall, high marks to these guys. Definitely give them a look.

I almost never leave feedback, especially when negative because I am always willing to give a…read moresecond chance, but, in this particular case, I feel like I would like to provide one that hopefully will be useful to people starting a landscape contracting project. We contacted Henry about a month ago to receive a quote for a full yard remodel including a large paved area on the side of the house and the back as well as a front yard with an outdoor kitchen. Henry came to our home and we described in great detail the scope of every single portion of the work. There were a few things that we had not yet 100% decided and decided to gather Henry's recommendation for these. Henry arrived and took measurements and returned with a quote that was very generic and lacking many of the items we had discussed. Interestingly though, the quote clearly stated that anything NOT included in the quote had to be considered a work change and that a difference will be billed... Since many of the things we discussed together were not in the quote, we asked for clarification and he immediately replied mentioning that (with very few exceptions) the majority of the items we had inquired about were also included, just not listed. When we asked to revise the quote and include these in writing we started receiving a few emails mentioning that wood was expensive and that he needed to add some more amount for some unforeseen possible roots under the area where we wanted to place pavers and the quote started skyrocketing without reason. When we voiced that he had mentioned that these items were included, he replied saying that we made great points and that he would send a revised quote asap including all the scope of work. We wondered if we had not been clear with him, so we went out of our way to generate a sketch-up 3D rendering of the space we wanted to make sure that there was no misunderstanding. We were asked to wait a few days more to have a final quote, then no more answers. When we inquired again, we were told by Henry that after some more consideration he had decided not to take our job. Seriously? So we now have a great 3D rendering of the space that we want but we will need to restart looking for a (BUT this time serious and conscientious) person able to create it. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere, unless you are willing to take a bet and have several items added after the fact as a work change.

This company is bad at curbed edging and terrible at customer service. It's a shame because they…read morecame well recommended two years ago. It seems that has changed. This business was fairly professional at first, although hard to get ahold of. The curbing came out splotchy and discolored, and there were chips and cracks as well. They also placed the curbed edging across drip watering lines, rather than moving them slightly to the side (the lines didn't have to cross under the curbing...they ran parallel). When told about the sprinkler line issue, the chips in the cement, and the fractured surface they were dismissive. When told about the cracking that resulted from shallow, insufficient contraction joints, they said "that's standard." It's funny how the other ten houses with curbed edging on our street didn't have any of these problems...clearly it's not standard. After two weeks, I showed the owner the discoloration in person. He was defensive and irritable from the start. I was taken aback by his attitude. He said "concrete is supposed to be discolored for the first month...it will resolve after a few more weeks." When I pointed to all the other edging on our block that isn't discolored, he said "those companies added too much water. That's why their concrete is a uniform color." I asked him if he would come back in a few weeks if the discoloration continued, he said "Sure, but that's just how it is." Now we can't reach the company. This was a bad job all around, and it didn't come cheap either. Worse yet, they were rude and defensive as soon as problems arose.
