My husband has been a resident since June, 2016. When he first arrived, the place was cleaned regularly. The food was pretty good, however I do agree on that starches are heavy on the menus. The staff was extremely friendly and knew every resident. It was like an extended family. However, in 2018, the facility was sold. The administrator who had been there for a long time left. The facility now has a new administrator, who let the cleaning people go, and I saw the place go downhill with uncleanliness. Food was left on floors for several days, even remnants of bowel movements. Now, after about 1-1/2 months, one new person has been hired to clean the whole facility. I don't feel that's enough. Also, many times they are short of staff to take care of needs of residents. A few times, 2 CNA's were suppose to take care of 40-43 residents, because some called off. They only put the minimum number of staff on that they have to. I've gone in several times and found my husband's bed made back up with dirty sheets. It's disgusting. I've also heard they are trying to get rid of the nursing staff, who are very good and have been there for years. I guess in favor of someone who will work for lower pay. Doesn't matter if the care is mediocre. I am looking for another place for my husband. The problem is that there are not many places that accept Medicaid. read more
