A horrible experience, and not in a good way. It is:…read more Almost impossible to contact this clinic, when you do get someone to answer the phone they are incompetent. I was repeatedly sent to voice mail, and the message on the voice mail was in Spanish! Uh, no habla espanol!?? If you do make the mistake of scheduling an appointment, they may make you see their PA, Lana, who is a whackadoodle, and totally not competent or fit to practice. She will give you a hug, but not much else. Don't try to get a referral to a specialist unless you are an ER case! If you ARE an ER case, go to the ER! The rest of the staff there, well, it's about what you would expect in Clear Lake, where if you hire someone, they might come to work high and in pajamas... Better hire 3 to insure that 1 shows up at all! What a bunch of losers. A terrible example of a medical practice in 2017. And this from Adventist Health, a company that supposedly understands the application of profitable medical care! We are folks with insurance and income. I expected to be treated better. To be fair, there are almost no medical providers here. I always leave the area to consume medical care, if possible. I suggest you do too!

I was referred to Dr. Lombardo for allergies, as I have been in emergency 4 times with anaphylaxis…read more(tongue swelling). I was told that I was Dr. Lombardo's first patient of the day...I waited 45 minutes, and he finally strolled in. No eye contact, didn't introduce himself, didn't offer his hand (shake), and didn't apologize for being late. I told him why I was there to see him - obvious allergic reaction to SOMETHING... He advised me that the only allergies he handles, are hayfever, etc. He couldn't help me. Here is why he gets 1 star. He is arrogant, rude to the patient and especially his nurses (support staff). I was livid as to how he treated his nurses. I left there in a horrible mood. He should NOT be dealing with people. His PEOPLE skills are lacking in every aspect. The following week I was back in emergency with my tongue swollen more than ever. The hospital staff at emergency were wonderful. I mentioned my negative experience with Dr. Lombardo with the nurse caring for me, and she said that he is the same rude, arrogant person when he comes to the hospital to check on patients. If this kind of "bedside" manor doesn't bother you then go see him. I will never recommend him to anyone.

This is for the Hospital as I don't know anything about the sleep lab. I placed this review here as…read moreIt has hospital reviews too. This secondary hospital looks, feels and is run like a 3rd world medical facility. It's dirty, cramped and disgusting. The ER staff tells COVID positive people to sit next to negative people waiting. If not for the COVID people warning others, no one would ever know. The small ER waiting room and triage area are dirty and grimy. People waiting are made to sit shoulder to shoulder with others with no respect for Germ COVID contaminated patients and other non COVID people. Maintenance is non-existent and doesn't clean up or disinfect anything in the waiting area. We watched as the staff allowed people to walk in with just Face Gators and no mask, as they appeared to be friends of the staff. When people would ask about how much longer it would be after waiting hours, the uninterested staff would just walk away and as their backs turned, tell people "it's going to be a long time". The wait time was absurd as you should expect to be at the ER for a minimum of 8+ hours. Watched many people just get up and walk out after 6 hours of just sitting there. A person could drive to the Santa Rosa ER where it's sanitary , have the visit and drive back in less time it takes to be seen here. The wait is one thing, but the unsanitary conditions are inexcusable. We felt unsafe the entire time we were there and ended up leaving as we were told it could take another 4 hours. **UPDATE received a call from the ED department head who acknowledged the unsanitary issue and lack of maintenance. He went on the say COVID protocol's were being adhered too until I cited specific issues with the ER friends only wearing face gators while entering and exiting . He also defended his dept. that COVID patients don't know if they have COVID until seen by the staff. WHAT? That is even more of a reason to separate possible COVID infected people from NON-COVID people. At the end of the conversation, he did say he would look at my complaint.

Update: went to the ear nose and throat specialist today to try to get the break fixed, 4 days…read morelater. Only to learn that Adventist hadn't even sent the copies of the CT scan. Soooo... drove an hour away to Santa Rosa for nothing! Yay! Keep up the good work, Clearlake Adventist! /sarcasm

Things felt relatively organized and the environment was calm. It made it easier knowing my family member was comfortable.

Another place that is rated 5 star by Medicare and you have to wonder how do they get these…read moreratings. I needed PT really bad, my initial assessment from PT was several days after I moved in then I never saw anybody else for about two weeks, when I went down there to inquire as to why I was told their records show OT has seen me everyday. I filed a complaint with Medicare for fraud investigation. I was also shocked how little equipment they had, I was told their other facility had all the equipment, so we had to wait in line and there were some severely disabled people there. Absenteeism was a big problem which resulted in over an hour response time minimum, one of my CNAs spoke no English at all I would ask her to do something she would nod, leave and I would never see her again, it got to be where I would yell "don't act like you understand me when you don't!" Finally I went down to the nurse's desk to complain and the whole staff came out to gang up on me, how dare I complain about someone who speaks no English, the nurse finally told me that I am receiving good care and I should be happy to receive the care I'm getting. I complained to the administrator and got an apology, after that when I asked that CNA for something she'd bring in somebody else to interpret (a waste of staff don't you think?). My roommate contracted COVID and they wound up quarantine us both no medicine. I asked the doctor for something like paxlovid any kind of prescription, he turned around and walked out. Was it effective no they wound up quarantine the whole Wing. All the physical progress I made with my PT over the weeks went right out the window and I had to start over again. This used up the time to get covered by Medicare which I felt they should cover as they didn't properly treat me. Speaking of the doctor he played footloose with my medication (they just can't leave it alone), when I showed my PCP what he did, he was livid why go to the trouble of assigning and tweaking medicine only to have somebody change them willy nilly without consulting as to why? I consider that arrogant! I had a talk with the dietitian and was assured everyone was getting their nutritional needs considered only to find out all the patients got cheap sugary Kool aid to drink Food was horrible I lived on sandwiches and take out Good luck getting somebody to answer the phone. No I will not go back.
