There are plenty of good providers out there, but you'd be hard pressed to find a provider like her: a therapeutic provider who also shows her human side. I felt comfortable early on as I quickly developed a strong trust in my therapy with her. I feel she focuses on what I am saying. She is nonjudgmental and accepting and able to start where I am. And I am often lost in tangents of avoidance. She then helps me navigate my difficult and stressful times showing empathy as though she is standing in my shoes. I do feel understood and heard. She does not try to solve my problems but keeps me on track toward the solution that I am sure she already knows. She has excellent problem-solving skills to help me to cognitively identify and make changes to my negative thought patterns and other harmful behaviors. Without all the details, I was stunned by the immediate defensive attitude of the office manager when I inquired as to why I was told my appointment was at 6:45 am (I arrived early as you do for a 1st visit), when in fact they won't open the doors until 6:45 am, so I waited in my car for 30 minutes. "Just wait in your car with the motor running." and "It's not even cold today." It was 36 degrees. I was also told I would have my annual physical (the whole reason I made the appointment) before I came in, but when I got there I was told I'd have to come back for that, that this was just a meet and greet. I can't comment on the doctors as I never saw them. I wasn't going to stay after being treated this way. Hard to describe in words how hostile they reacted to my asking questions about the offices communication. Guess they aren't used to being called out on their condescending behavior.

1 star poor customer service experience…read more I arrived at Wentworth Family Therapy without an appointment hoping to speak with someone about scheduling a visit since their website says they are accepting new patients. I expected at least a brief conversation or some guidance. When I arrived it was confusing because there are two buildings. Inside the waiting area was small with a few people coming and going. Behind the door labeled for staff I could hear people talking casually not working with clients while I sat waiting. The sign said to take a seat and wait for the receptionist which I did. No one acknowledged me for nearly half an hour. When someone finally came out her attitude felt cold and unempathetic. After waiting so long I was told they had a waiting list for VA veterans using TriWest but I could be seen sooner if I paid out of pocket. That left a bad taste in my mouth. To be clear my review is not about the therapists' professional abilities because I never made it that far. This is about my first impression and the lack of basic customer service. When a place advertises they are accepting new patients the least they can do is treat walk-ins with respect and kindness. I hope others have a better experience but mine left me disappointed and questioning the professionalism of the practice. Good therapists are hard to find and this experience did not inspire confidence.

In past phone calls with office manager Dale R, he stated that Pioneer Family Practice has taken on too many clients per doctor, and the quality of client care absolutely shows that. Dale R refused to give his full name after yelling in our faces when we took a photo of Dr. Yan Geng's name on the wall, a spelling which is uncommon. We should've known taking a picture of our doctor's name would've resulted in being kicked out and Dale R's face becoming inches from ours. Good luck to any present patients, our now retired doctor told us to leave before the transfer to Dr. Yan Geng. We wish we had listened, it would have saved huge headaches and some hope for the future of Pioneer Family Practice
