If you want my opinion, Player 1 Video Game Bar, in Orlando, is fantastic. It's the quintessential…read moreretro-arcade bar. It's dark, cool, and the themed decor fits the place perfectly. For example, the top of the bar is actually a time line of the history of video games...something to take in while you're throwing back a few adult beverages. Assuming that you're looking to drink a bit, they have an outstanding collection of craft beer, and of course, they have the obligatory "80s themed" cocktails. I haven't quite figured out the food menu. But hey, P1VGB is not really, I don't think, that kind of place. GAMES? They have an excellent selection of old school vids. And whatever the game count, it goes up by 60 because they have at least 1 multigame rig (packaged in a Ms. Pac-Man cabinet). This combo brings you most, if not all, of the blockbuster titles from the 80s. They also have several rare machines. Last but not least, they THE SINGLE ALL TIME GREATEST COIN-OP SPORTS GAME! ATARI FOOTBALL!! Yeah, it's that much fun...I still have callouses and blisters from rolling that big ass track ball back in 1979! Pinball? Well, this is not a pinball palace, but, they do have about 8 to 10 tables. Great titles including Twilight Zone, Haunted House, and Jaws. In addition to the coin-op games that us Gen-Xers grew up with, they have multiple videogame consoles available. For a bar that offers this many games set on free play, admission is very inexpensive. I'd say that at any given time, 5 to 10 percent of the games are down. Not too bad. Located just up the street from Sofrito Latin Cafe, this place is well worth a few hours of time time. 5 stars!

Well, as it is that time of the year when I go to player one again. Player one is a video game bar…read moretheir original location I believe is in Las Vegas and I think this is their second location. It is off of the Palm Parkway, Street. Player one is a video game bar if I didn't mention that earlier normally this bar gets very busy later in the evening however it's not late in the evening so it's not that busy right now. This location is a 21 and up location all the games Inside where the bar is are included in your five dollar price point. They do offer discounts if you work at Disney or Universal, etc., they have some snacks as well as the Chinese food next-door to eat as well. Tonight I decided to have the cider boys caramel apple for seven dollars. It is probably one of my favorite sliders that they currently have and I also tasted the 1911 sugarplum cider. I did not like it though.
