My impression of the company is that they do not have the ability to provide technical support for the products they sell. We had a problem with our lift chair. It stopped functioning on Sunday. I called on Monday and they sent Thom out on Tuesday morning. This lift chair was necessary due to my disability. Truth - 7 calls, no call backs, can't provide answers to simple questions when you call as it's someone else's job. I wish I could give them no stars whatsoever because they really are that bad. I spoke to them and faxed a prescription and my insurance information to them for a rolling walker w/seat on 6/2/2022. They told me it would be about a month. In early July, I called to check on it. The order had not been processed in any way because they said they neede my height and weight. They had my phone number and that of my doctor. Why didn't I hear from them? Supposedly they faxed a form they needed my doctor to fill out to his office on 7/11/2022. My doctor's office has never received it. I called them again this week to request they do this again and spoke to rude, useless Chelsea. I left a message for useless Crystal. My doctor's office called them yesterday to get this form. I left the message earlier this week to do the same. Neither of us can get a fax or a call back. I am done. Our stairlift was installed 2 yrs ago,worked great..then it started beeping ! We waited five days for a repairman, who did fix it. Three weeks later, the lift stopped working sporadically..we waited three days, repairman found nothing wrong. Thursday night 10/23, the lift stopped totally! It's now 10/26, we've called the Emergency line 3 times, no reply! I'm a Quadriplegic, sleeping in a chair! I'm so shocked that I'm stuck on one floor of my own home! Took in a script for compression hose and was told it'd be a week to come in. I called 8 days later, since no one called me. The girl didn't take all the information needed, so instead of calling me, it just sat there. Needed my husband's SS#! What? No one ever has asked me for that! They had his insurance card!! Then told it'd be an additional 10-14 days on top of the wasted week, prior. I call 16 days later.. told they didn't have them yet but expected any time!! I called EIGHT days later and they ask if the colors black and tan were ok? After waiting 5 wks, if they were purple stripes, they'd have to do! Good grief!! Never again!!! I ordered a VivaLift!® Elegance 2 Lift Recliner for my 90 year old Father-in-Law who needs assistance with standing and has extreme mobility issues. The order was placed on line on 1/20, and the chair delivered on 1/29. The chair was put together per the instructions, and nothing worked. The chair was motionless and the controller that instructs the chair to move and lift in various ways was heating up to the point you couldn't hold it. Obviously, something was terribly wrong and the hand controller, in my opinion, was a fire hazard in its current state. I immediately called and reported the issue to the manufacturer and MedMart. And this is where the run-around and finger pointing begins. Please keep in mind that the chair is not functional, and we had to order a rental chair to help my Father-in-Law. Additional expense that we should not have incurred. Based on the call to the manufacturer, they sent me to a third part repair service. I spoke to their technician on 1/31. Went through all recommended steps. Nothing - the chair remained motionless and the hand controller heated up. I called MedMart, a ticket was opened. They were looking for a tech: "The manufacturer is locating a technician in your area." Multiple calls, more run around, and no estimate for a tech or potential repair. Not a mention of replacement. Yesterday, 2/2, I asked to escalate the scenario at MedMart and Pride Mobility. Both assured me of a call back within the hour from a manager. Both companies explained at length and in nauseating detail that their customer service has no way - literally no mechanism - to transfer me to a supervisor or manager to help resolve the issue. My only option was a call back. By this point I am exhausted, angry, and feeling used. My Father-in-Law remains in a rented chair, and we await a call back that I'm not sure is going to happen. A point to note, after several calls to MedMart's customer service, and yes I was animated and angry at the situation, MedMart's customer service representative hung up on me. She willfully and purposefully disconnected the call. She couldn't have cared less. These companies quickly took my payment. Both companies are not quickly resolving the issue. At this point, unless expedited measures are employed to resolve the issue, I will never purchase anything again from MedMart or Pride Mobility. Can't say enough good things about Pam and the caring service I received at the Med Mart on Smithfield Road in Kettering. I needed a walker for an upcoming trip. She, as well as one of the managers, spent the better part of an hour showing me all the different styles and letting me try them out. At no point did they try to pressure me or "upsell" my choice. Turned in wheelchair prescription almost 2 months ago, had to keep calling them, first they sent it to wrong insurance, then said they needed additional paperwork which my dr faxed last week. Terrible customer service. I had a prescription for a knee for my wife. They said a form was needed to be filled out by the doctor stating she really needed the knee cart. They also said since it was 2:00 p.m. on a Friday, the billing dept. would not handle this case until Monday. I could rent one, but the insurance would not reimburse me. I went to Clarke's and rented one for a week. I checked with Med Mart the following Wednesday. They said they had sent a fax, but had not heard from the doctor. Called the doctor, they had not received a fax. The doctor's staff member called Med Mart. Med Mart told the doctor's staff to send a medical report. No mention of a need for a form. Medical forms were faxed to and received by Med Mart. Called Med Mart on Thursday, they said the doctor had not faxed the form. While on the phone to Med Mart, my wife called the doctor's office. I put both phones on speaker so they could talk to each other and iron out the problem. The Med Mart person refused to talk. She said she had customers in the store. It was not her problem; it was billings problem. If I needed one bad enough just rent it for the month instead of using insurance. She then hung up. The doctor's staff member was appalled at what she heard and how I was treated. Her comment was that the least she could have done was transfer me to someone who could have helped resolve the problem. read more

I have recently started referring my patients over there and have heard amazing feedback. They say the customer service was great. The staff was very helpful, and informative. They were very good at explaining why insurance would cover some things, but not others. I as a provider this helps me be aware of what information I need to include in my orders to help my patients get their treatments covered. I have also had vendors of medical supplies tell me that compared to other places they have high quality stock. I have heard only good things about Med Mart and I will continue to refer my patients there. read more

Highway robbery, 5x inflated prices for insurance billing ONLY. Highly inflexible. I got sick on a business trip and needed nebulizing ability. My current nebulizer was at home. We called to see if they had an ultrasonic nebulizer in stock. They did, and my wife was told it would be around $55 cash payer (meaning: somebody who does not have insurance, which technically applies to me since we use the Samaritan Ministries cost sharing program). I drove across town, sick, and was told that the price was $159 as labeled on the box. The sales assistant said that Corporate had gotten angry with them for offering cash discounts, so they couldn't do it anymore, but she offered to make a one-time exception for me since we had already called ahead. I agreed, then she asked if I had a prescription. Of course I didn't have a prescription on me (travel, second unit) and besides this nebulizer has many uses that are non-medicinal. She would not sell it to me without a prescription because it "could be used to dispense medicine." Translation: "Please don't buy from Med Mart anymore, buy from Amazon.com which offers essentially the same product for $37, next day shipping free, five star reviewed with hundreds of reviews, NO PRESCRIPTION REQUIRED. Message received. Lesson learned. And then retail businesses try to figure out why they are being putout of business. Good grief. read more

If I had to do it again though, I would have requested the shower bar to be installed at the standard shower height of 72 inches and bought my own shower 72 inch curtain. I was quoted $265 for a replacement shower curtain. The shower bar they installed is at 74" - 2 inches higher than the standard height of 72". I can not find a 74" curtain anywhere else. The company heard my complaint and kindly gave me a replacement curtain. But my rating is one star less because I will have to buy expensive curtains in the furture. Bottom line- Save yourself future headaches and request standard 72" shower curtain height if you get a curb-less shower. The Best Bath shower unit is otherwise a good product. read more

I have a small complaint about this company as I called them about a Pride lift chair with a power cord that no longer works properly. They said they would come out look at the chair and then order whatever parts the chair needed and then come back. Oh, yes, they also said that there would be an initial charge of around $90.00 just to look at the chair when I already know what is wrong with it! I finally ordered the replacement power code from Amazon for around $18.00 which is a lot cheaper than MedMart and what they were going to charge me! read more
