This is an awesome organization. I was so impressed taking BLS and first aid training here after also attending one at Red Cross (which I can't recommend). This provider is a short walk from Trimet in the Gateway area. They provided snacks, coffee, tea and water as well as cushioned chairs. My trainer today was Tim and he did a great job keeping things engaging and fun while providing feedback. Tim is an excellent trainer as he really understands the material and which pieces are the most important to understand and remember in a crisis situation. He met us where we were at, always polite and respectful and taking time to get to know us a bit. I highly recommend taking training here and I hope to return in the future! read more

I absolutely recommended taking this BLS course! It's straight forward and easy to understand. You're allowed to practice as part of the skills check off and ask questions when needed. They also offer convenient times during the week, every week! I've been taking their course every two years and continue to plan on taking it in the future. Thank you Oleg and assistants. read more

This class was informative, simple to follow, and guaranteed a pass on the BLS skills and written tests. We watched the BLS curriculum videos, practiced skills on adult and baby manikins, ending the class with a written test. Thank you Oleg and Tim!! read more

Timothy and Oleg provided an excellent environment for learning or renewing BLS & ACLS AHA certifications. The class size is small, which means you can move through the process MUCH quicker than any other program I've gone through in the past. I use these skills on a regular basis as an ICU & rapid response RN, and I appreciated that they only focused on what actually matters during these crisis scenarios, which definitely creates a much less stressful situation for everyone. I would recommend these guys to anyone, regardless of your personal skill level!!! read more

We've been serving the Portland and Vancouver area since 2014, we actively promote cardiac arrest chain of survival enhancement through programs like Heartsavers CPR and BLS/CPR Provider. Med+Outreach CPR has helped train over thousand people.

As a registered nurse my goal is to help other people and be productive to the community. By taking the course with us you will support Global Med+Outreach Ministry (nonprophit organization), were we provide free First Aid, CPR and medical trainings for missionaries, providing first aid and medical supplies in third world countries and opening free clinics. Wow... this was a tough 4. 5 stars for the First Aid/CPR/AED class and the instructor, Matt Brady…read more 3 stars for their administration and process. And because the 3 burned so much of my time, I had to pull my overall down from a 5 to a 4. Course - I've been certified FA/CPR certified for 18 years with AED added on in the last 5. This renewal, I decided to try a different educator. There were some updates and changes to best practices, which were highlighted throughout. Classes had a good blend of video learning, hands-on practice and validation, and live lecture with Q&A. Solidly 21st century. The instructor was engaging, had lots of personal experience, and had a great energy. It's the best I've had so far. There were a couple of small points missing that gave me pause, and I brought them up during the first aid part. Small but important things such giving lots of ice-cold water or sports drinks to someone in heat exhaustion or heat stroke can be very detrimental if they are very dehydrated (from vomiting to even sending them into cardiac arrest). Oh, and the Hillsboro campus has a single-serve, custom-grind Aramark coffee maker... super sweet! 5 stars. Challenges/lesson that may be helpful: Admin - CTC is a DBA, so there will be a discrepancy between your bill, the training provider, and the certifying authority. By the time I called, the booker said the Portland class I was hoping for wasn't available anymore. Instead she suggested a similar class at the Hillsboro location. I didn't know where that was but she said it would be on the receipt. It wasn't. The desktop site is much more functional than the mobile app, so don't rely on it. Google maps couldn't initially find it the Hillsboro training location. Instead it pointed to a nearby Hillsboro fire station. I pinned the company and address, so maybe that will improve the score so it shows up for others. Here's by biggest admin thing - So by default you apparently get an eCard. That's fine. What is not mentioned is that there is a whole long legal-ease agreement with privacy policy by the AHA that is over 3,600 words. Really? I've never had to do anything so ridiculous to get proof of my training completion. It took another hour on the phone between calling both the AHA and CTC to arrange to have a card mailed to me. Too much time. Next time I'll know better.

Took Oleg's BLS course and he made the content really easy to understand and made the information very straightforward allowing me to be successful. I also had Oleg as my instructor for my Nursing Assistant program, and could not be happier that he was my instructor. He made all the content make sense and when it didn't, he did an amazing job of breaking down that info in way that made it understandable. He was diligent in knowing mine and all the students capabilities. This allowed him to give me support when I needed it but was also good about helping me get out of our comfort zone and this allowed me to see the extent of my capabilities, nurturing my confidence in myself and my skills. Oleg is truly one of the best instructors I've ever had, and is hands on with everything and doesn't let anyone fall behind. The online portion was very thorough and prepared me well for the in-person portion. The instructor Tim did well correcting us when needed. The class went by really fast, only took about 40 minutes tops. Facility was clean, mannequins were new and up to date, and it was nice to practice using an AED.
