I cannot leave my home without it. The portable oxygen concentrators are on back order with no idea when they will be available. I have just learned that I can have no more than five small canisters at a time, and they will only deliver once every three months. The canisters I receive are no more than 2/3 full. I went to a doctor appointment and lunch which used up three canisters, but had to leave our lunch early because I was so low on oxygen. I ran out just before we got home. To top it off, the woman I've talked to numerous times at the St Vincent's East location is blatantly rude and makes it clear that she will do nothing other than quote rules and gives the impression that she has no intention of going out of her way to be helpful. Don't bother to leave a voice mail because your call will not be returned. Whether she doesn't check it or the system is broken, I have never had a call returned. I intend to try to find another company for my health care needs. I hope I'm successful and don't have to deal with this person again.

JUST TO BE RID of this company. 5 months later I continue to get billed for things/visits/machines that were prior to my coming in and turning everything over. I've called MANY times since getting the first bill in January, for services from JUNE 2025, AND HAD STILL NEVER GOTTEN A CALL BACK. I'm filing a formal complaint with St. Vincents, UAB East. PLEASE NOTE that if you get a cpap from them you are not renting to own, you will be charging a recouring fee monthly, regardless if they told you in writing that your insurance would cover it, regardless if you met the 90's of use and app updates. You can purchase a much nicer machine for $700 LESS and own it.

The lack of customer service, poor communication, and failure to follow up on critical medical equipment needs can have serious consequences for patients who depend on these devices. I make quite an extra drive to this pharmacy multiple times a month (my son gets AT LEAST 13 doses of medication per day so there are a lot of refills to be picked up each month) because I trust their work and know that when I need advice on medication or my payor is being wonky, they will give me the service I need. They do a great job of compounding my son's medicines and do it for a rice much better that either specialist compounding "shoppes" or pharmacies that just do some compounding. Bottom line, when your kiddo needs meds, check these guys out.

The woman that sits closest to the door when you walk in is very friendly and greets you with a smile. However, the other one is awful. When I arrived, I signed in on the sign-in sheet and sat down. About five minutes later Miss Attitude called my name and I went up and told her that I was picking up a neb. She then replied, "let me see if it's here because it was marked for shipping", which I did not request by the way. At this point she goes to the back and returns a few minutes later with the neb. She then hands me paperwork to sign and tells me I owe like fourteen dollars and change. I asked why and she says"it's your copay", I then say not possible because my insurance doesn't have a copay. She then proceeds to tell me that my policy is 90/10 and I owe $14. All the while she had a nasty look on her face and was rolling her eyes. I explained to her that I had reached my out of pocket max for the year so, I shouldn't owe anything. Again, she rolls her eyes and tells me she has to re-verify. A few minutes later she emerges with the same nasty look and eye rolling and hands me the machine. Finally, she asked if I knew how to operate it and I said no so, she proceeded to show me. Since I was fed up with her, I decided I'd just read the instructions. I WILL NEVER USE THIS MEDICAL SUPPLY COMPANY AGAIN!! Apparently she just thought I was stupid when she clearly didn't know the difference between a copay and coinsurance.

Update: I switched prescribers again to Holtorf Medical in El Segundo, CA in order to get my compounded medicines from their dispensary. I originally saw them years ago and they diagnosed my thyroid condition and put me on a bioidentical T3 formula which significantly improved my well being. They're a cash only practice and charge mega $$ per appt, but I find their standard of care well worth it. I believe that they will work with patients remotely as well.

I have gone to Village Pharmacy several times to pick up various items, get covid shots etc. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Plus they are a private local pharmacy and I like the idea of keeping my money in my community. Not sure if they will be cheaper than my present pharmacy, but paying a little extra to keep the money in our community might be worth it. Will have to put this on my "to do list" this year.

The real reason behind it is I only take 2 medications because I am otherwise healthy. If I had several they would have had no problem with it. But my 2 medications are apparently not adequate business to treat me like a person. Very sad hopefully this saves someone else the time and trouble.
