Worst of all, they are disgraceful SLUM LORDS. I was paying $850 for a studio which is more than reasonable. One day I received a random phone call and was told that my rent would be raised to $1400. The excuse given was property taxes which is ridiculous. Worst of all they had no organized way of informing the tenants. They thought it would be sufficient enough to make people aware of their doubled rent by putting a note on the door. Now families who have been in their homes for 40+ years have to leave because of greed and discrimination. If Levav properties buys your building be prepared to be priced out. These are people with no morals or decency.

No kind of relief even with the windows open. it's not warm enough for an AC unit to be put in and I wouldn't trust putting one in as I live in the garden unit. I have 2 small children and the fact that they know this, didn't deter them from turning up the heat for no good reason and having it run continuously day and night. there are other children in this building. i have not been to sleep since last night. the heat is unbearable. someone needs to handle this immediately before I contact the city about this.

The "contractors" that did the repairs were unprofessional, caused more damages to personal property, Kevin accused me of being deceptive because my photos were not "time stamped". I have a claim in with my renters insurance and neither my insurance company nor myself can get a response from anyone at REI. I've asked REI to please respond. Not to mention I found this Google review today. Ed Crespo is the manager in charge of REI. But apparently he likes to make reviews on google and pretend to be a tenant. Other tenants have had issues with them as well and action needs to be taken. If I didn't have to give them at least one star to post this, I would give them none.
