I recently changed insurance and my old medical offices are not on my new plan, so I found myself at Medallus for a minor health concern. Maybe I've been spoiled by my previous provider, but this experience was not a great impression. When I first arrived, I was acknowledged by an unpleasant receptionist. It's pretty clear that she doesn't like her job-or the people she works with. I felt like I was intruding on her day and inconveniencing her just by being there. After I filled out my paperwork (which she basically tossed at me), she didn't look up as I stood in front of her. Perhaps she didn't hear me with her earbuds in and she was zoned out to any other place than here. Eventually, she took the paperwork and told me I'd be called back when they were ready. Once I went back to an exam room, I noticed how eerily quiet everything was...that is, until the doctor entered the adjacent room and I heard every bit of their conversation. Truly, I could tell you what the issue was, what the doctor's recommendation for treatment is and when to follow up. All between the paper thin walls. I didn't feel like privacy was a given, even though we were in separate rooms. My experience with the doctor was fine-quick, but got the job done. She was friendly enough and I appreciated her get-down-to-business attitude. I'd imagine she's not there to build rapport with patients since this isn't that type of place. Don't go here to get your COVID test unless you have a lot of extra time on your calendar. My wife and I arrived in the parking lot maybe 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment since the web site showed open slots both in front of and after our time slots. You should know that there is a lot of redundancy with the on line application for example it wants a picture of the front and back of the insurance card and then you have to type in the policy and group numbers. Artificial intelligence should be able to grab those fields. That was ok, several repeated questions and takes maybe 15 minutes to register everyone on like. It's now been over an hour since we showed up in the parking lot. The original call was answered promptly, more redundant questions were asked which had already been answered in the in line application. Waited for the medical assistant to come perform the nasal swab and then they made us wait in the parking lot while they got the result of the tests. I've had other COVID nasal tests where they emailed the results so I do t know why this is such a difficult process for these guys read more

This place is amazing! I walked in and was greeted by an empty waiting room which was a relief! The receptionist was kind and patient while I sorted out my insurance. I was seen extremely quickly and treated very kindly by the staff. I was treated, prescribed and picked up my prescription as a new patient all in two hours. I just had a primary care visit which lasted 8 minutes after a 5 minute call with the medical assistant. It was a tele-health video call. The provider was in a tiny room with another operator in the background which was awkward. The provider was not knowledgeable and not competent. Every single other doctor's office I've been to, when giving a referral to a specialist who is covered by insurance, gives one that is taken by my insurance. This provider said I should look them up myself if the single specials she knows of doesn't take my insurance. The appointment was a disappointment. read more

I think this is a great office for the most part. The staff is friendly and efficient. I've been there twice in the last 2 months. Once for my initial exam and the second time for a follow-up for the treatment I was given. Dr. Foster is very friendly and has a great listening ear. I appreciate it how thorough they were with my history and how quickly I was diagnosed with just a blood test that was tested in the office while I was there. There is definite attention to detail, which I do appreciate. My only concern was no one ever called me back on my other blood labs and I had to call them to ask about my results when scheduling the follow-up exam. When I had the follow-up exam, the doctor apologized for that and went over everything with me in person. I really appreciate that personal detail in my treatment! We have been going to Medallus for over 5 years. We have loved working with Dr Foster. She is the best primary care physician we have ever had. She is compassionate, thorough and her follow up is amazing. That said we just found out that she is leaving attend of May 2019. Horrible place, my daughter broke her arm and we took her here. They gave me completely wrong information about her break, and I had to have X-rays re done at the surgeons office. Then based on her new X-rays we found out that they didn't even suppress the broken bone properly and she had to get re-casted because they had wrapped the wrong bone, so her broken was still unwrapped. Very unhappy, my daughter could've gotten seriously more injured. read more

Medical staff seems mostly great. Our problems have stemmed from problems with the billing office. I have left numerous messages and tried to get our issues resolved, but have instead been sent to collections. I guess they get more money and dont care to retain customers. I only want a fair resolution and have been unable to receive one no matter how hard I try. read more

Went in for a severe cold. While waiting for the doctor to come in my room I could hear them discussing my chart loudly outside at the nursing station. I don't mind them discussing my chart but the tone of disbelief of me being allergic to numerous antibiotics and once coming into my room grilling me on if I am truely allergic to these medications is unprofessional. I mentioned to them that I am possibly pregnant due to my husband and I trying to conceive and explained to them when I thought my 1st day of my last period. They ordered me to take a test which I was totally fine with that as well but after taking the test which was a urine test I remembered that my period started a week after I had mentioned and that the test would not show me as pregnant due to it being to early to know my HCG levels without a blood test. They didn't care and told me that I'm not pregnant either way and then again discussed it loudly outside of my room at the nursing station. They prescribed an antibiotic which is useless to a viral infection. They even have a whole medical poster in the room to not take an antibiotic for colds and how they effect the potency of the antibiotics on the body when they are over prescribed. On my way out the door apparently my concern with my date being off on my last period and how a urine test would not show due to being 8 days away from my period had sparked an interesting conversation amongst the whole staff that I got to witness and feel like I'm doing an idiot walk of shame to them because they know best. This is completely insensitive to someone who is hoping to conceive and being relayed a message that they aren't pregnant in a cold and callused way. In the end I got 2 thumbs up and the keep trying.
