Your team met her at her house and helped her safely navigate the stairs using a chair lift. She could not be happier with the kind, professional, and caring team that helped her. There were two gentlemen assisting her--one was named Cameron and one named William. Both were absolutely fantastic. They were at her home between approximately 2:00 and 2:30 p.m., and I mention that in hopes that both individuals receive the recognition they deserve for their outstanding care and professionalism. They made sure my mom felt safe and comfortable throughout the entire process. They were quick and efficient while also being incredibly careful, checking on her frequently and asking if she was okay each time the chair lift moved. Their compassion and attention to detail made a stressful day so much easier for her. She said if she could give 10 stars, she would! She also wanted to mention that she would absolutely recommend your company to anyone in need of transportation or mobility assistance. She specifically asked me to leave a 5-star review because she doesn't use social media very much herself. Please make sure these two gentlemen receive the recognition they deserve, along with a huge thank you from our family. They made a tremendous impact on my mom during a difficult time, and their kindness was also a great help to my aunt and dad. Thank you for your professionalism, compassion, and outstanding service. We are truly grateful. One more thing to note, my aunt did not want me to forget about Serene (possibly the dispatcher or whoever answers the phones) she said she was extremely patient with her, kind , very helpful and just overall made her experience in getting the transportation for my mom that much better . Thank you Serene :)

A few days before discharge, we had to find a way to transport her back to her home, several hours from the hospital. Normally, I would do this, but because we have an at-risk person here, if I did the pickup, I would have to quarantine somewhere else for two weeks. We called multiple medical transport services in the hospital area and no one would pick up a discharged Covid patient. One gave me Roll Wheelchair's name, and I was fortunate to connect with Mike at Roll. This was three days before Christmas, and while Roll has one of the only Covid transport vans in the bay area, they didn't have someone available to drive on the Saturday after Christmas. While I was frantically trying to find a solution, Mike called me back and said he had found a driver and could do it. Note that Roll is located hours away from this hospital, and hours away from my parents' home. We stayed in touch via text until the morning of pickup. Roll's special Covid van arrived early, picked up my mother, and had her home ahead of schedule. This company is a godsend. My alternative to Roll would have been to rent a van, mask up, do a 2.5 hour drive with a Covid positive person in the car, then leave my own family for two weeks and go quarantine...somewhere. In short, a mess. Mike managed the whole process by text, and flat out saved us from a very difficult situation. I recommend Roll one thousand times over, and my only suggestion is that they should charge more money for this service.

Two of the owners have very high expectations and can be quite harsh, often yelling at employees. The other two owners are much kinder and more supportive. If you don't have a strong mindset, this job is not for you. You're likely to be yelled at frequently, even for things that aren't your fault. Management tends to place the blame on employees rather than owning up to mistakes. They claim to treat everyone like family, but being mistreated is hardly a family atmosphere. The phrase is often used by those who mistreat others. Pros: Great coworkers, Molly the Medic Dog, good salary and benefits, management does reward staff. Cons: Two of the owners can be difficult, yelling and unprofessional behavior, being mistreated, lack of accountability from owners, and a general feeling of being used as a punching bag. If you don't have a tough skin, I would recommend looking elsewhere

(Bowel obstruction) The two paramedics came in and took my blood pressure, blood sugar asked me very few questions. I told them I was in excruciating pain, up all night and couldn't stop vomiting. I was still stretching at this point. Apparently they didn't think I needed an ALS ambulance which then means no IV, no pain medication or no anti-emetic until I reach the hospital! So the nurses in the emergency room would have to do all this. Meanwhile, I would have to wait for help! Thank goodness for the emergency room nurse who took one look at me and called their supervisor at medic and asked them why they did not treat me in the correct manner and now I would have to wait even longer for my care! As she was talking to them, another nurse put an IV in me as quick as she could and got me the anti-emetic/pain, relief! The EMTs, who took me to the hospital were great, but they was nothing they could do for me, but give me a ride!!! I am a Nurse myself and I tried to convey to the paramedics that I needed help but they weren't listening. They didn't seem to care, so thanks for the ride and No help! Assessing a patient is so important and listening to them is even more important!!!! medic you have a lot to learn And it's scary! This was the Santa Rosa Medic ambulance!!!

The driver himself was pleasant enough but the dispatch team was horrible in that they sent this driver all over the Bay Area instead of logistically concentrating him to the Peninsula. The patient had an appointment at San Bruno Kaiser at 10:45am so the pickup time was slated for 10:15am to accommodate the 14 minute ride time. Inexplicably, the ride didn't show up until 10:55am, even with repeated calls to One Access. The driver apologized for being late, blaming dispatch for sending him to Los Gatos for his prior patient ride. Worse yet, the driver had no partner, so loading a wheelchair patient solo took extra time. Unfortunately, we arrived for the patient's 10:45am appointment at 11:20am, leaving only about 15 to 20 minutes left for the actual therapy time. I asked the driver if he would just stay since we would be back out from the appointment in 20 minutes, and he just gave me the dispatch phone number to call when ready for pickup. Upon completion of the appointment at 11:40am, we come out and the driver is nowhere to be found. Calling the One Access dispatch to locate a ride, they tell us transport is behind schedule and would arrive at 12:15pm....not really acceptable making a wheelchair patient wait 35 minutes in inclement weather. Unfortunately, 12:15pm rolls around, then 12:30pm....no driver. So I call Once Access again and they said the driver is on his way and should be there in about 15 to 20 minutes. Finally, the van rolls around the corner at 12:50pm -- mind you, the patient has waited for over an hour at this point -- and to our astonishment, it is the same driver from the morning! Instead of assigning another driver, One Access overloaded this driver with multiple rides which has cascaded making other patients late. The driver informed me that after he dropped us off, dispatch assigned him 2 more rides up to San Francisco. It would have made more sense to have him just wait 20 minutes instead of making the patient wait over an hour -- unacceptable. One of the worst transports experiences ever, both to and from! Go with America West -- they are always on time, provide great patient transport experience, drive excellently, and usually have 2 people to assist with wheelchair patients.
