My son was hit by a car as he was walking and now is quadrapalic. The last 2 years has been a nightmare with transportation companies! We got a referral for one access and Raul & Erin were the the transporters that have showed up not just 1 time, a handful of times. Each time I go with my son to his appointments and Raul & Erin are on top of their responsibilities! I want to thank them for going above and beyond with making sure they load my son into the van correctly, they make sure they move him onto the gurney patiently and correctly., they always take their time and are always in good spirits. I usually don't like to give one star reviews to businesses, but I had to share my terrible experience with One Access. The driver himself was pleasant enough but the dispatch team was horrible in that they sent this driver all over the Bay Area instead of logistically concentrating him to the Peninsula. The patient had an appointment at San Bruno Kaiser at 10:45am so the pickup time was slated for 10:15am to accommodate the 14 minute ride time. Inexplicably, the ride didn't show up until 10:55am, even with repeated calls to One Access. The driver apologized for being late, blaming dispatch for sending him to Los Gatos for his prior patient ride. Worse yet, the driver had no partner, so loading a wheelchair patient solo took extra time. Unfortunately, we arrived for the patient's 10:45am appointment at 11:20am, leaving only about 15 to 20 minutes left for the actual therapy time. I asked the driver if he would just stay since we would be back out from the appointment in 20 minutes, and he just gave me the dispatch phone number to call when ready for pickup. Upon completion of the appointment at 11:40am, we come out and the driver is nowhere to be found. Calling the One Access dispatch to locate a ride, they tell us transport is behind schedule and would arrive at 12:15pm....not really acceptable making a wheelchair patient wait 35 minutes in inclement weather. Unfortunately, 12:15pm rolls around, then 12:30pm....no driver. So I call Once Access again and they said the driver is on his way and should be there in about 15 to 20 minutes. Finally, the van rolls around the corner at 12:50pm -- mind you, the patient has waited for over an hour at this point -- and to our astonishment, it is the same driver from the morning! Instead of assigning another driver, One Access overloaded this driver with multiple rides which has cascaded making other patients late. The driver informed me that after he dropped us off, dispatch assigned him 2 more rides up to San Francisco. It would have made more sense to have him just wait 20 minutes instead of making the patient wait over an hour -- unacceptable. One of the worst transports experiences ever, both to and from! Go with America West -- they are always on time, provide great patient transport experience, drive excellently, and usually have 2 people to assist with wheelchair patients. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible. This is now the second time this firm has screwed up a very important medical appointment for a client that desperately needed to get this appointment. What is worse is that the firm doesn't have a back up in case a drive may be running late. The ride was for 1:30 and they didn't call to say they were running behind until almost 2:00P. Very professional operation. I'm recovering in a wheelchair and live in a complicated setting - 32 stairs to access my home to begin with. 3-person crew shows up, Ace, Dee and B (sorry), motorized stair wheelchair is involved (yes, they have them), big, beautiful van with a wheelchair lift, and I have full accompaniment to my appointment! Safety is paramount for this company - I always felt secure and cared for. I was incredibly anxious before they came and was alleviated of any of those feelings quickly. When I called back to book she suspiciously said they had no availability after trying about 10 different dates probably because the distance is very short. So unreliable. We used One Access to transport a family member to an appointment. We wanted to make sure she was transported safely, arrive on time and I wouldn't have to drive. The only objective that happened is she was safe. Drivers arrived 20 minutes late. The communication between the company and I was terrible. I had to phone them repeatedly. To add insult to injury, there wasn't a seat for me and I had to drive. This claims to be a premium service and it's priced as such. This $180 fiasco would have been a $50 Uber excursion - except Uber would have been on time and have a seat for me. Epic fail. Majorly disappointed. read more

I previously used this service for transportation both to and from a surgery center. The driver for pick up at my home arrived one half hour late and to top it off he dropped me off at the wrong building. That being said the pick up at the surgery center went well (different driver) so I thought I would try them again. I called weeks ahead of my surgery date to reserve an afternoon pickup. Unfortunately I would not have the exact time until a week before surgery. I was told it was not a problem. I called again to just change the day, again clarifying the time is still to be determined. Again, not a problem. Now a week before my surgery they cannot accommodate me. No call ahead of time so I can make other arrangements without issue. Nothing but a very insincere "sorry". How they got this many 5 stars is beyond me. read more

The staff are very professional. I emailed on Thursday morning requesting a pick up for my 97 year old grandmother the next day. I received a confirmation right away. This was her first experience with a medical transportation service and she loved that they arrived early and waited patiently. They made the experience calming and my grandmother felt she was in good hands. At the end of her medical appointment, staff were again patiently waiting to load her and her wheelchair back into the vehicle for her return ride home. I look forward to using One Access Medical Transportation again for future medical appointments. read more

I've been using this company for a while to help transport my mother to her dialysis treatments and medical appointments. Over time, I've encountered many different drivers some were quiet and did their job well, and others went above and beyond. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have been deeply disappointing and concerning. On several occasions, one particular driver showed up smelling strongly of what seemed like drugs both on his body and breath when he spoke. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable, especially considering he was responsible for transporting my elderly mother. Even worse, his driving was reckless. I mentioned my concerns to his driving partner, an older gentleman, but nothing was done. This kind of behavior shouldn't be ignored, and it raises serious questions about the company's hiring and oversight practices. I believe the driver's name was Alex or Alexis, a shorter Hispanic man. Based on my experience, there are at least two drivers working for this company who appear unfit to be handling anyone's loved ones let alone driving them to medical treatments. Because of this, I will no longer be using this service, and I've advised my family not to either. If you value professionalism, safety, and peace of mind, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere read more

Facility he was taken to (an Imaging Center who shall not yet be named till this crisis has passed...grrrr) was ill-prepared for a GURNEY! No notice in advance. They were completely perplexed. But for the care, patience, and help from William & Ray, I am convinced we'd still be waiting for care at the appt. So capable & caring all aroung - scheduling, billing, but again most of all, the compassion from Ray & William. I hope you never need this kind of service, but don't look further if you do. I had my best friend picked up for an appointment and they arrived way too early. Then when they dropped her off they took off like a bat out of hell. I can only imagined how they drove with her in the van. My friend is non verbal from multiple strokes. So be aware before using this company. They are ALWAYS on time or early to the pick ups and usually with will-calls on a longer appointment, they won't leave you hanging like some of the larger companies. Joy and Elijah helped transport my mom to her medical appointment yesterday. I would say that this was the most positive experience we ever had with many medical transports that we had in the past. Joy and Elijah were very helpful and kind. They were early which was wonderful. They made sure that she was secured and comfortable. They treated her like she was a family. I highly recommend their service. Thank you Joy and Elijah! On the way back, we encountered Geraldine. She offered to take us back even though it was her lunch break, but Joy and Elijah were already on their way to pick us up on time. I was very impressed with Geraldine because she was willing to go above and beyond to help patient/client. Once Access Medical Transportation is very lucky to have such wonderful and caring employees who would go above and beyond to provide excellent service for patients. Awesome service to get wheelchair bound patient to doctor appointments. I was hesitant at first but decided to give it a try. A bit expensive, but my reservation was last minute so I don't know if pricing is adjusted for the notice given. Service was top notch, especially for people needing to get to appointments without family members going with them. They pick you up at your location and wheel you to the van and then drop you off at the actual doctor's office, and pick you up from there as well. On time if not early. My dad's pickup was at 7:30am, but they were there at 7:00am and waited patiently for us to be ready by 7:30am. We never felt rushed with them waiting. I drove to the appointment and met them at my dad's appointment, but you also can ride with them in the van if you choose not to drive separately. You just have to let them know that. Unfortunately, my family had the need for medical transport. It was an ASAP situation and 4.30 on a Friday. Luckily, I dialed One Access and was able to book them for the next day. Randy and Jared came right on time and were very pleasant and caring. Regrettably there was a problem at the pick up location and there was Much back and forth and time was passing. Randy informed me in a very calming and considerate way that they would have to leave because they had other pick ups. I was panicked and again Randy and Jared assured me that they would be back after they completed their appts. Approx. 2 hrs later , as promised, there were "our guys" ready to take my family member home. They were gentle and compassionate w/ our needs and delivered safe and sound. FRAUDULENT charges on Credit Card. Services were cancelled for transportation. Hospital called and set up transportation and One Access charged me without my consent ONE WEEK later. Without my knowledge. Admits that should have called me, that was "their mistakes" but refuses to refund my money and told me since they did the job, they'll be paid. For ME to call the Hospital for payment? The most unprofessional and downright rude customer service. I only gave one star because it would not let me write a review. I work for an assisted living facility, and we have tried to use this company a few times and it has been disaster. I called one day to book a pick-up for a resident that was at a SNF. The person confirmed my reservation. I then called back two hours later to cancel since my resident had to stay another week. The person whom I called to cancel said we are NOT in their system. This was scary because if I didn't' cancel, my resident wouldn't have been picked up since were not in their system. The original pick date came and a driver with One Access called to say he was at the SNF waiting for my resident. I explained that I called to cancel and was told I was not in the system, so I was told I didn't have to cancel. Now I have a bill for the pickup. I called the company, and they told me to hold while they investigate it. After 15 minutes on hold they disconnected me. I called back and was informed that unless I have the name of the person whom I made the reservation with, I can't dispute the bill. I went back and forth with them for 15 minutes and was then told they need to find a supervisor. I didn't want to give them a call back number because I've lost all confidence with this company. I was told there is nothing they can do and will call me back. I requested a call back within an hour and it's been almost 3 hours and no call back. I strongly recommend you do not use this company because there is no guarantee they will deliver what they promise. read more

Fantastic, reliable, and polite! This was my first time using them. I used them after my procedure to get from the hospital to my home. They confirmed two times the day before the procedure. And they asked if the hospital could keep them updated about the exact time I needed to be picked up and they did. I gave them a time range and I ended up getting sick from the anesthesia so I needed to stay at the hospital for 1.5 hours later than when i scheduled the pick-up and they still were able to pick me up. They were waiting for me when I got outside!! I checked to see if they could be flexible about this beforehand but was kind of worried still. It was a woman who picked me up and she was nice and polite and actually didn't talk to me too much until I initiated more conversation during the ride back. The hospital asked her to help me up the stairs which she happily did. It was a great experience and I would use them again. I had two small recommendations: -When you sign-up online and get a confirmation email, can you please include the address and time of pick-up because I think I put AM instead of PM and would have caught that earlier if it were in the email. -Also the ride was a little bouncy at times, could have been the road too but it was a little difficult after getting anesthesia. read more

This is third medical transportation company that I am using. Compared with previous companies this is a blessing! They call you day before your scheduled ride to confirm it. Their dispatchers and drivers are professional and courteous! Drivers are wearing tee-shirts with company logo so you can recognize them when they come especially to pick you up after appointment. I have experienced for driver to wait for me more than once and I am seeing doctors average three times a week. Quite opposite to previous two!!! With one of them I have been screamed at by dispatcher for complaining to my insurance about company's lack of professionalism. Second one kept me waiting for pick up in average 45-60 minutes. More then once I had to wait for more than two hours to be picked up and I am in wheelchair which believe me is not very comfortable. I was transporting my mom by wheelchair for a short one-way trip from her home to assisted living. The assisted living home referred us to One Access. They arrived on time and with two staff members to assist. They were very gentle and careful with her moving her over bumps (at doorways and over lumpy bricks in our front yard) and into the van. The only thing I found surprising was that hold times were a bit long when they were looking at the schedule during reservation by phone. But it as right around Christmastime, so that could have been why. All the staff, by phone and in person, were very helpful and courteous. read more

Booked this service for father-in-law to transport to doctor appointment. Our main transport was not available. Two guys were sent - on time and very courteous. They did not have a call next, so were able to wait though the appointment. These folks were a bit higher priced than our previous provider, but well worth the cost. They are now our go-to for medical transport. read more
