I've been seeing Putri for almost 2 years now and this update is long overdue! A few years ago, I started to develop severe adult acne that was uncontrollable, and nothing on the market was working to clear it up. I felt so anxious and self-conscious about my skin that I would cake my face with makeup and make excuses not to socialize or leave the house. There were so many days where I couldn't stand looking at my face and would cover the mirrors in my apartment and cry. I have PCOS, a hormonal disorder that's quite common in women. Putri quickly realized this and told me to speak to my doctor about taking spironolactone. She cleaned out my skincare routine, taught me the science of skin and skin care, and I religiously saw her every 2 months or so. Happy to report that my skin has been pretty damn clear. I could not rave enough about Putri. This is long overdue, but she helped me prep for my wedding back in March 2019, and completely turned around my skin. I spent about 9 months going to Putri for regular BeautyRX facials, and occasional peels to get ready for my big day. I was recommended to Putri from a coworker, who I noticed had amazing skin. When I first came to Putri, my combination skin was a complete wreck. She did a great job walking me through how different treatments impact my skin, and how to regularly care for it. She works in the medical field and is so professional, yet approachable in how she explains things and makes recommendations. Every time I went to her, it was like seeing an old friend. It was so nice to have someone to regularly prep my wedding glow, and was easy to talk to as we approached our wedding day. I got so many compliments specifically on my skin on our wedding day, and even felt so comfortable not wearing makeup on other days (which I would have never said before). Putri even made me, my maid of honor (who also stared seeing her regularly), and my husband special enzyme face masks to apply the night before our wedding. How I found them: Classpass Price: Fair Location/parking: Clean + Easy to park + get to + there's a garage connected to the building. Stair and Elevator access. Service: 5/5 professional + personable Appointments/Services Received: Freshstartrx - recommended for all new clients which includes a skin analysis and customized treatments. 90 minutes Showed up 15 min early to appointment to fill out a form about my skin history and products that I currently use. Place is clean and there's a surprise heated blanket During the skin analysis I learned that I have mild rosacea. I now use a cream cleanser + stay away from certain products for my dry and acne prone skin. I also learned I don't put sunscreen on the top of my ears and the tippy top of my forehead lol. During the treatment, Rikki was very thorough and walked me thru every step of the process. I appreciated that SO MUCH. I'm the kind of person who wants to know what is going on my face and when we're doing that during the treatment. My face was cleansed, had microdermabrasion time, extractions (my fave love knowing we're getting the gunk out), an enzyme mask, dermaplaned (not in this order lol), moisturized and SPFed! 5/5 experience I've had treatments in the past where my esthetician let the tube touch my face during microdermabrasion and burn my face with a hot towel. etc. My skin post treatment was glowinggggg. Obviously the appointment exceeded my expectations so I booked another appointment - Resetrx. Resetrx - customized treatment; 60 minutes This time my skin was IRRITATED because of a reaction I had to a new product I was trying. Rikki looked at my skin and we talked about what products I had been using. We did some calming and hydrating masks. Afterwards my skin looked better than when I walked in. I have had skin issues related to cysts, acne scarring, and clogged pores. Maria has been an absolute LIFESAVER to me. She gives great advice and will tell you what to do (and what not to do!) clearly while still being considerate. It's not cheap, but this is by far the most professional and thorough skin service I've received. I was recommended to go from 60 minutes to 90 minutes and I respected that, resulting in extractions and a peel that helped my skin immensely. Though I have only been here 3 times, each time I come out feeling confident and radiant (and Im super self conscious, so that's saying something). The next day, my coworkers kept telling me that my skin was glowing. I felt amazing. Now to the deets. It's a cute, bright, clean space. Everyone that works here is so easy to talk to, warm and they genuinely want to make you feel better by improving your skin. They have some of the best products too. I think I got the restart rx. It involved diamond microdermabrasion and derma-planing. I had never done dermaplaning prior to here, and was nervous the first time, but I was assured it would be great - and it was. Now, it's my favorite part (aside from extractions). They guide you through what they're doing and what they're using, but it's not a sales pitch. In fact, I have milia around my eyes and my kaiser dermatologist said it would cost $200 to remove. Guess who removed it for free? These guys. On their products side - I've only tried their makeup remover but it's now the only makeup remover I use. I have dry skin, and this makeup remover is oil based (I believe). It smells great, takes off all of your makeup without drying your skin, smells amazing. As someone with sensitive skin, I was worried it would clog my pores but it doesn't. This is my go-to place and it should be yours too. read more
