The staff at this location (Mt pleasant) are rude lazy and unprofessional! I went to be seen due to a work related request and arrived 40 minutes before closing... front desk staff was already in process of closing all of the blinds and shutting down waiting room... and I was turned away for service! I was told bc last appointment slot was taken at 745. Like I said , I thought this was a walk in service and she replied it is so as contradictory as she was I then replied with or is it because you close at 8 and don't want bothered... again her stuttered response because she knew her jig was up and I've often worked in medical field. I know how this works. She told me to come back in the morning. I will not be returning to that particular MedExpress and will be calling the corporate administrative office first thing in the morning This is not the only terrible experience I've had there. my last visit I sat in the office with only one other person /patient there and the entire staff was snacking having a little get together so I opened my door and asked when I was going to be seen bc I've been sitting for 45 minutes with no one to come in my room That lit a fire under an ass and I did get seen but with attitude and quick dismissal. Whether you are a nurse or a doctor, you take an oath to take care of your patients, not to be dismissive and shun away your patient . If that is the case, they need to either close the door or get new staff . I will be contacting administrative offices in the morning. So if you need to be seen quickly, my recommendations would not be this particular MedExpress ! read more

This is the most incompetent staff I have ever witnessed. They are unable to manage their business at all. I am sorry that we came here.

I called for virtual visit for symptoms of 24 hrs nausea &, vomiting, (mild diarrhea the prior day) to get an antinausea. First of all, long phone registration, but whatever. Waited an hour on a snowy MLK day for my appointment time. Virtual visit was cancelled by them. I couldn't immediately tell. Just got a message that my appointment link expired. Found the number and called back. I was told that I had to go in person because COVID, Flu, Strep tests all required. I had a negative COVID test and neither of the other 2 have diarrhea as a symptom. I have NO cold symptoms, or runny nose, congestion, or cough, NO sore throat. I used to be a medical assistant, which they didn't know. Clearly gastroenteritis. They were trying for an upcharge. Worse, virtual was from a MD office 4 hours away. I would have had to go to a closer one, do a walk in, and wait. I'd have done it for antinausea med if they would have put me at front of line, but they don't. Avoid!!! They're dishonest and clearly didn't care about me. read more

Perhaps I am confused in the definition of appointment. I assumed if you made an appointment for say 11 AM, you wouldn't be sitting in the lobby with other sick people at 11:45. I count 5 signs in this lobby advertising "schedule an online appointment." Definitely a disappointing visit and poorly ran facility. The appointment means nothing. Now they are telling customers they can't guarantee the appointment times as they show up for their appointments. I should inform these customers I am already at 45 mins past my scheduled time. They suck I called about getting a DOT physical. Oh come on in after 45 minutes sitting in the waiting area with people coming in for Covid test, I asked I've been here for almost an hour what's up. Completely mind blown. I was denied treatment due to them not processing my $25 copay the last time I want in. They gave me a number to call but they were closed. I offered to pay it then and they told me I couldn't. The receptionist stated they got a new system at the time of my last visit... so could be the reason. I have never received a bill or call stating I owed. As a health care worker for over 20 years I am mind blown this is how you treat people. I had to go out of network or go to a er for a possible fracture that would bottleneck the er because of a simple X-ray. Your process is broken and if you can't accommodate all potential processes during working hours than you shouldn't be open. Especially since it was your issue. read more

If I would give 0 stars I would! You have an absolutely awful excuse for a doctor (JAMES BRESNAHAN) working at this location. The "care" I recieved was absolutely appalling and honestly Wouldn't even consider it care! I went to this location on 3/13 with a severe infection in my face where I was provided with antibiotics and told to take over the counter medicine. Fast forward to Tuesday 3/15 I called In extremely concerned because not only was my face still swelling but the pain was unbearable.The response I got was "yeah it's gonna take several day" and when I told him that I am in severe pain and concerned he said "yeah that's the normal course of treatment nothint else I can do" no effort was taken to even try to show this doctor cared! Completely uncalled for to talk to a patient this way! I returned on 3/20 throwing up and no where near better and instead of treating me with care and kindness I recieved eye rolls and attitude! Absolutely no bed side table manners at all! The second he walked in he was like you need an iv there's nothing I can do for you, so why even have me wait outside the building for a half hour? And the worst part when I was concerned about the wait times of the emergency room instead of doing his job and calling he told me he can't predict that and he doesn't know! Again with a. Complete attitude! He should be completely ashamed of himself, not only did he treat me like garbage, but refused to do his job! I ended up waiting for 6 hours when if he did his job I wouldnt of waited at all!!! I ended up in the hospital for FOUR DAYS with MULTIPLE ABSCESSES and needed emergency surgery I wouldn't recommend JAMES BRESNAHAN OR HIS SUPERVISOR DAVID ROSENBERG TO ANYONE unless you are trying to die from infection!!!! read more

This place is A-OK in my book. I came here during a dreary Saturday afternoon. It was my first time here, and I came up to the receptionist who seemed rather annoyed that I decided to come in and talk to her. Nevertheless, I signed my name in and only waited about ten minutes until I was seen by a nurse practitioner. The nurse practitioner, unlike the receptionist was extremely friendly and really seemed to be concerned with my health. The facility itself was clean and modern. They also can do your prescriptions right on site for more common medicines. Definitely not a bad place to come to, if you can't make it to your doctor's office during his/her hours. read more

I understand we are still dealing with COVID-19, but every time I come to this MedExpress it gets worse and worse. Today I sat in the waiting room for 2 hours, with only 3 patients waiting when I came in. Multiple other patients walked out without being seen simply because it was taking FOREVER. If I didn't need a prescription, I would have done the same. The nurse, Seth, and the NP, Charnele were very kind. i'm not usually one to leave reviews, but the lack of care I received here is something I feel everyone thinking about seeking treatment here should know. Most of you are like me and probably also have to pay a $50 copay to even be seen here so the fact i'm being charged that much to be given so little is outstanding to me. I went in last monday (now over a week ago) for an ear infection. The Dr on staff prescribed me ear drops and ibuprofen for the pain. Tuesday and Wednesday I am in excruciating pain and the drops only made it worse. Thursday i'm finally feeling some relief but now my ear is draining blood and the pain has transferred to my other ear. I call medexpress to ask if that's normal and am told I have to come back in for them to tell me. so pay another $50!? i humor them and go back in because not only is it bleeding, but my right ear is now hurting as well. I mention this to them and they tell me my ear isn't bleeding, it's healing. and the blood is actually just dark wax. as far as the other ear, it's just some wax build up and it's not also infected. just an ear lavage will help. so they do that. I go home and that night am in even more pain in the "not infected" ear. I finally had enough of them giving me the run around and made a PCP appointment. PCP informs me that not only did I rupture my right ear drum, and it was indeed bleeding (i literally have pictures), but my left ear is also indeed infected and they should not have given me an ear lavage. said infection has ALSO now lead into my sinuses and given me a sinus infection. So Medexpress completely failed me by not prescribing me an oral antibiotic, but they also can't even identify a ruptured ear drum or ear infection and failed me there as well. So thanks to them I am now week two into infections and get to take a steroid to fix the damage. When if they were educated and cared i could have been feeling better in less than a week. I was also recommended to an ENT by my PCP for potential hearing loss in my right ear. The pain that this has caused is something I don't even wish on my worst enemy. i've spent more days in tears wishing this was over than I did feeling better. don't waste your time going to people who don't care, make a PCP appointment for whatever you need. it'll probably be cheaper for you too. read more

Unqualified Dr's... Go there for something simple and the Dr. gives you a prescription only to find out at the Pharmacy that its just a Over-The-Counter item because the So called Dr Doesn't have enough knowledge to give you anything better than a Over- The-Counter medication. I could have Googled all the info and told her what to Prescribe me! I'm not the Dr! A Dr should be Qualified and Knowledgeable to give a Prescription that is better than Over-The-Counter Medication! Very friendly staff. I was in and out in an hour. Facility is clean and the staff did a great job explaining my care.

Been here about 6 times in the past two months. Almost every time, I've spent over 10 minutes standing at the front desk to check in. After that the usual wait is well over an hour and one time waited 2.5 hours on a Sunday with my son. This place is a commitment. Staff is slow and not the friendliest bunch. I will find another one and save myself a ton of aggravation and time. Terrible service. read more

As stated by the on other review this place is nice, clean and modern. Staff is very friendly and polite. Service however was slow. Now here's the part you don't want to miss. My fiancé was seen by Dr. Bernard Geiser and was told that he has strep throat, prescribed him antibiotics for $15 and sent us on our way. I didn't check the paperwork until one day later and found out that the rapid strep test came back negative! So why would a person without a bacterial infection need antibiotics. This crook just made money off of us and the insurance company. I'll never go back there. The only reason I gave 2-stars is because the office staff are very nice people. read more
