The option to schedule an appointment is a complete joke. Also the fact there are no physicians on staff makes it more laughable.

The staff here is always fantastic! Busy Saturday evening and still seen in less than an hour. Everyone was super nice!

On March 25th I went to Med Express to be tested for covid as I had a temperature of 102.4. They tested me with a rapid test and it came back negative. Immediately the medical technician said that those tests are not usually accurate so they would run another test. And having her first of all saying they're usually not accurate didn't make sense why they give the rapid test anyway. So anyway I got my hopes up when it came back negative and two days later on Saturday the 27th, I got a positive result from the second test that they took. In so much pain on Monday the 29th I called the MedExpress and asked if they had any medicine to help my symptoms. The battle-axe that answered the phone was so rude and said I needed to just stay at home and ride it out that there was absolutely nothing they can do for me. She did remind me to continue taking Tylenol and Advil. I was not able to keep any food on my stomach all week. If it wasn't for my sister and my mom and Google advising me to take Pedialyte and ensure then I can't imagine how much worse I would have been off. On Friday April 2nd my dad took me to the emergency room to Lewis Gale hospital. That's where I was diagnosed with severe pneumonia in both lungs, respiratory failure, double vision, low liver enzymes and a pulse of 35 from Covid. I feel like I would have died if my dad hadn't taken me to the emergency room. I'll never forget the battle ax at MedEx Express saying there was nothing she could do for my symptoms and to just ride it out. I can't imagine how many people would be living at their house dying after being given those instructions. I live by myself and I was doing what I thought I was supposed to do when she said stay at home and just ride it out. I will never go to this facility again! And I would absolutely not recommend it. I won't say anything bad about the front desk staff when I first went there. The ladies at the front desk were very pleasant. read more

Terrible. Waited for 2 hours so I left with out getting tested for a HEALTHCARE POSITION!!!! The building was fully staffed. Walking around and peeking at the lobby was what the staff was doing. Go somewhere else. read more

The doctor and triage nurse were awesome. The front desk lady was rude and arrogant. She is an older woman who apparently hates her job .... and it shows. She made me wait unnecessarily and did not try to come up with a helpful solution. I would not recommend this location for anything, no matter what. Staff were incredibly rude. In particular her name was Kay, and her customer service was terrible. She was rude and after LISTENING to the situation she admitted they were in the wrong. I have been here waiting with my client for 4 hours all due to a mistake on their part. I was told several times after calling back to make sure things were correct to get my client seen, that my calling would only delay his time to be seen and I was hung up on. read more

They're lucky that they even get one star. My friend had very bad stomach pain she couldn't bare it she went in because it was a medical emergency and cannot afford the expenses that a hospital would charge. They said that her problems weren't urgent and that they can't work with stomach problems. Don't call yourself urgent care and then push people away because you don't care to see them. I would love to give the biggest fuck you to the lady at the front desk and the medexpress urgent care. read more

Have visited this location twice when I could not be seen by my PCP. The staff was very nice during my visit and the nurses/providers were compassionate and eager to assist. Each time I was there the building was very clean and the check in process is simple. Will continue to use Med Express on Williamson Rd. read more

I went in to be tested for covid for travel with a rapid test and outside of my room I could hear my nurse shouting she's positive across the room to the doctor and you could hear everything they were saying outside of the room. I could also hear the conversation with the patient next door. I tested twice here and the doctor informed me he didn't need to put the test through the proper machine he could just tell from looking at it that I'm positive and that the PCR would confirm that. I did a PCR test and the results were actually negative. this showed up on my lab report app and the doctor still hasn't called me to confirm the results like he's supposed to knowing I'm traveling tomorrow. read more

I was the first patient in the door and an hour later I have just been seen because the doctor was late. MedExpress has a misleading name. The front desk ladies were not very professional and would make remarks like "I should have stayed in bed today". I had 3 minutes with the doctor (yes I timed it) which was the only express this office has! I'm disappointed in most everything. read more

A horrible place for any sick person. My friend was taken there who was quite ill and could not be seen by his family physician. They made him wait one hour and 45 minutes, then called him up and told him he had to pay 185.00 before anyone would see him. He has Medicare and Anthem but they wanted up front money. Seems like the gatekeeper here is a nasty person, as they could have told him that when he first walked in. I will be spreading this to all my friends and relations to never go to this place. read more

Came in not expecting the diagnosis they gave, or to give as many samples as they ordered. The doctor was nice and very thorough but one of the assistants made rude remarks towards me, having to touch my samples, and having to walk me to a bathroom, godforbid. Everything said at the nurses station can and will be heard in the patient rooms, especially all the shit they talk about their patients, HIPPA alert. I complained on the assistant but, of course, nothing was done about her unprofessional behavior. As if I didn't already not want to ever come back here again, I have been waiting a week for test results to come back and receive a call about them. Every time I call the office they won't give me another number to call to check on my results, they only say that the lab will give me a call when testing is finished which should have already happened. All-in-all this place can be very unprofessional, despite having a few good doctors and nurses, I do not recommend. read more

I took my son in to this urgent care for left ankle pain and swelling. The dr. examined it briefly and didnt order an xray even after he was told my son had fractured it and had been examined, xrayed and referred to an orthopedic due to an injury to this same left ankle in the past by a different urgent care. When we were told to checkout the dr. advised us that we would get a call in a couple days for a referral to an orthopedic, the discharge papers had the right ankle listed as the one injured so we had to go back inside and have that corrected. It has been over two weeks and we called several times but still no ortho referral appointment. I ended up taking my son to his regular pcp due to ankle swelling again and he ordered an xray the same day. I would never reccomend this urgent care to anyone! read more

every time i come here it is very unprofessional. the people who check you i. (i.e take your insurance card, sign whatever papers) are always professional, although they seem to lack simple customer service friendliness. who im talking about are the nurses who first call you and take your temperature and bp. there are usually two, every time i've come there's the same man and then a lady who's always different. they ask the normal questions height weight blah blah and them proceed to ignore you and continue picking and joking w each other like little school girls. im here now and the two were pushing each other to get into a chair. its very unprofessional seeing as most people who come are sick and not in the mood to play around, they want to get the care they came for and go home. this is like this every single time i've come to this location, never when i go to the salem location. they need a lesson in workplace behavior, especially when a patient is around. read more
